"My point being, their gods may have different names, but they might be the same beings as ours. Just different aspects, worshiped in a different way, and called different names. It's not surprising a seafaring nation would worship the seas, rather than the land, even if those are both governed by the same goddess."

"No matter where this technology comes from, I'll take it." Robin said gladly.

"I suppose this coule be the case... ", Timea mused. She then brought a knuckle to her lower lip and was quiet for a moment as she ran things through in her head. Raising the hand, Timea snapped her fingers, producing a sharper noise then would be expected from the motion. "Ah! But Kaisir's gods require some kind of tribute to give their miracles, while I've heard your gods do not. Was a told wrong, then?"

"That depends on what you consider to be a 'tribute'. Our miracles require rituals, typically." the priestess explained. "Though, I can't say we know all of the miracles and blessings our deities offer. Or perhaps the gods of Kaisir are, indeed, distinct beings..."

 

[Silence]

As the man said 'rat', Speedy wanted to protest, but could hold himself. Therefore, he just made another squeak, and thought how interesting it was that the people here realized he was not a rat.

But he did look the man named Mikka directly into his eyes.

 

[Furioso]

Yeager would give the woman a quizzical look, but wouldn't do anything further as the business at hand was too important at the moment.

Cybil just waited for the journey to be over, though this was apparently never happening.

Mikka stared back, with his light brown eyes, and then shrugged. "As long as it doesn't eat our food, I don't care what it is." he said, carrying Speedy back to the window and putting him down.

The guard opened the door for Yeager to enter the room again, at which point they would see Califorth standing upright, sword drawn. The tip of the burning blade was pointed straight at the King. In his left hand, Califorth was holding a dagger, the blade of which was also on fire.

After a little big more time walking, the sun moved higher in the sky, and the desert air and sand became much hotter. With no real warning, however, the sun started to turn bright blue, and the temperature increased further.

Robin flicked through his tome, and found something. He held out a hand, gathering magical energy, then thrust it out and splayed his fingers. "Wind!" A light breeze came into being, kicking up a small amount of sand but also cooling the group. Satisfied he held up his coat, using it to shade himself, but noticed the sun turning blue. "...that cannot be good..."

And then Cybil just died because apparently that's just what's supposed to happen here I guess.

"I'm sure that's normal..." Homer said as he looked at the sun.

Matilda sighed with relief, as Robin's spell cooled her off. [color=006d5b]"What can't be good?"[/color] she asked, unaware of the sun's sudden blueness.

 

[Silence]

"What? Why is it this hot all of a sudden?" Anik asked, while she pulled parts of her other clothes out of her bag, to have something to shield her against the sunbeams she felt on her head.

"Now it actually might be good to wait this heat out. Can you give the water around?"

Speedy sat at the window again, looking in, trying to find out what plants the man had talked about.

"Perhaps we should find a shady spot." Robin said.

Robin would spot a tree not too far off, located next to a sandstone building. The tree would likely provide some shade for the group to rest under.

The green-eyed man turned his attention back to Mikka, and reached into a pouch on his belt. From it, he produced a small, bright red flower, which seemed to emit a dull light. "The bigger ones are on the boat." he said.
"Great. I'll get the food for you, and bring it out there." Mikka replied, smiling.

"Over there!" Robin called out, pointing to the building and the tree. "Shade."

Aqua walked to the tree and dropped her passengers. Since Cybil was riding piggyback, she would probably land on her feet.

However, since Robin was slung over Aqua's shoulder when she shrugged him off, he would probably land on his face.

Heno seemed relatively unfazed by the heat, and looked strangely at everyone else. "... I don't get what's got into you guys. Is just the sun. We could walk another good mile in this weather... Although that sun sure is kind of weird."

Robin did indeed land on his face, and came up spitting sand. "Urgh... Please warn me in future." he said to Aqua.
