He then looked at Yeager and said, [color=32127a]"I'm Mochán. And we do, indeed, have a blind girl with us. Two, in fact."[/color]

"I'm sure I can." the man Timea had addressed replied. "What would you like to know?"

 

[Slenn]

"Fair enough." She spead-eagled her hands. "See my hands? No weapons on me. I didn't open fire on anyone. And if anything Sally isn't a good representative here." She returned her hands to the front. "I'm a dedicated scientist. And I've never had to be approached by a police force. Finally I've seen plenty of people who are blind on my world, here, and everywhere else in between."

Robin looked around as they got to the top of the tree, readying his tome.

 

[Chungus]

"And I've never heard of a cat that speaks English"

Ultron idly commented to Mochán, then looked back up to EMily.

"What he said. If that was flesh and blood, it would be bleeding to death, right now"

, it said to EMily, first pointing to Yeager with its handless left arm, then to drone #4, who had left the tree shortly after firing at Sally.

"But since you asked so nicely, I'm Ultron, from Earth, and wanted to ask the natives for a map. Respectively.

"I'm a traveller heading northwards, to either of those two place around there," Timea began, pointing towards the map that had Lestha and Veltha on it. "Is there anything noteworthy about the general area I should know about?"

 

[Furioso]

To both Mochan and EMily Yeager responded "Vell if one of the particular blind women in your group is named Anik, beware her. She, and an accomplice, attempted to murder me in cold blood back in Calibeth City. Had it not been for the guards there they likely vould have succeeded, too." His normal, peppy, tone of voice had grown dead serious as he said this.

[color=32127a]"What's 'English'?"[/color] Mochán asked, confused. He then looked at Yeager and asked, [color=32127a]"Any idea why? I'm sure they had their reasons, though not necessarily good ones."[/color]

Robin would see that the group was in a small room with a low ceiling, so low that Heno and Aqua would have to crouch. The elves led the group over to a trapdoor, and opened it, climbing through into a small storeroom. The storeroom would smell quite strongly of various fruits.

"Well, depends what you consider noteworthy. There's a lot of hills up north, and trees too. Wolves are a threat, but there's no lions and the animals are much smaller." the man replied.

 

[Slenn]

"I'm not here to kill I'm here to understand. And if you were flesh and blood I would apply first aid, and have someone else in our group remove the bullet." She said to Ultron.

"Getting a map here will be difficult. This world is not at the apex of its exploratory abilities. My robot here acts as our map recorder instead."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Robin followed up the trapdoor, covering his mouth. His tome floated alongside him.

 

[Slenn]

"I'll keep that in mind." She said, keeping a mental note to keep Anik under scrutiny.

 

[Chungus]

"In this context? This language"

, Ultron answered Mochán, speaking through drone #1, who looked down to him.

At the same time, Ultron itself answered EMily, after letting out a small groan.

"So coming here was a waste of effort... . Well, since you've dealt with the people, what can you tell me about them? Actually, make that the world in total - what is this place like? So far, I've only seen people being a few steps away from living like it's the Dark Ages."

While it asked this, Ultron looked if it could wirelessly access Magic Eye, although wouldn't do so if it could.

"That answers most questions I had, right away", Timea said with a small smile. "Generally speaking, how widespread are the wolves? There would have to be quite a few of them if they're considered a thread, yes?"

"They're all over, but there's more of them the further north you go."

Yeager shook his head. "I have no idea. I wasn't doing anything illegal, we had only spoken on one occasion beforehand, which seemed pleasant enough. It vas just a bit of small talk. Even if they did perceive that I was doing some sort of wrongdoing, there was no discussion of it."

 

[Slenn]

Magic Eye's computational and memory units were quantum mechanical in nature, far surpassing anything from the 21st century. To be more precise it would be from the 31st century. Ultron probably could wirelessly access it, since it was electronic. But the construct was an intelligence robot employed by a military defense, no doubt its memory contents would be heavily encrypted and probably would detect an intrusion.

"From what I understand the country we just left is on the brink of wanting to rule the world. At least that's what I've heard about. I researched their naval history and found nothing beyond that of using wind power. The people at the merchants guild said there were people at the capital that were accepting of new philosophies. So at least they have a good amount of thinkers. They forbid the use of magic since it was used to kill one of their princes in an assassination. And the other people here are not wanting to become part of their union. Either by racial or environmental standards."

 

[Chungus]

Confirming it could jack into Magic Eye, Ultron left it at that, having no reason to attempt it. Knowing it could was enough, for now.

Ultron didn't go in on Mochán's musings, instead asking,

"Do you have anything to add to that?"

"So. Men of conquest, and civil wars... "

, Ultron mused, wondering what went wrong for Yeager in Calibeth City if people there were accepting of new technologies.

"You said you mapped out some areas? Could I see?"

it asked.

"Hmm. Well, I'm not planning to go further north then those two apples, there, so I won't have to worry about that," Timea stated, disappointed to hear that her would be main prey are the most concentrated in the place she didn't want to go. "Anyway, on I heard it would take about a day to get to those places on horseback. Is that accurate?"

"Meltha, maybe, depending on the route. Lestha, not that long." the man replied.

 

[Slenn]

She wasn't too sure about these people, but she decided to show them at least something.
"Well, I could show you what we've seen in the forest so far. Magic Eye, if you could?"

"Yes ma'am."

From its eye it displayed a color 3D hologram of what it found in the forest in a 3 mile radius from where they took their path. It was displayed in a square meter.

 

[Silence]

At the top of the ladder, Anik listened closely to any sounds, and she tried to assess how many elves' hearts there were.

 

[Chungus]

"Hmm. Who are you're people? And by that I mean, you two, and the other bunch you were with, before just now. All of you look like you're from very different places"

, Ultron asked Mochán, through drone #1, while Ultron itself looked the map over.

It walked closer to the hologram, circling around it to make up for its lack of binocular vision.

"Is this all you have recorded?"

It asked, finding nothing in the map it hadn't seen already.

"What about this other area you mentioned?"

"Okay... ", Timea said, mostly speaking to herself. She was quiet for a moment, thinking things through, then asked, "I heard they have records of gods before the Calibeth, Avinah and Faotar pantheon. Do you think I'd have better luck finding this in Meltha, or Lestha?"

 

[Slenn]

"Well, there's more. But it's mostly uncivilized parts. I'll show you the swamp that we came from, and the desert."

The swamp would have just as much coverage. But the desert would have better detail from the lack of obstructions. Its sensors were recording details 10 miles (16 km) away from where they were walking. They were on display for 30 seconds each, allowing Ultron to absorb the information.

"This is a map of the city we visited, called Palladein."

The robot displayed what it could of the city and where they travelled. Everywhere from the inn, to the merchant's guild, to the naval office, to the market.

 

[Furioso]

Yeager made a "tch" sound and walked over to the tree. "Fine fine, ignore the person telling you an assassin is on the loose... So vhat's with this tree." he asked.
