Anik would be able to sense dozens of hearts up above her, all of them similar to those of the elves she was with. They had a broad range of virtuousness, as one would expect from a large amount of people.

[color=32127a]"Just some travelers, helping the locals out with a land dispute."[/color] Mochán replied.

"I don't know about those cities, but there's a village in the hills here," the man pointed at an area north of Vala and southwest of Meltha on the map. "Which has an old, pre-conquest church nearby. Best place to check is there."

 

[Chungus]

As the maps were displayed, Ultron paid close attention to that of Calibeth City and Paladein, and looked over the roads in between places more casually, expecting to forget the details on those within ten minutes.

"The road west you took to get here, there were two more roads in the city that lead out to there. South leads to that port, but where does the one north and east go?"

Ultron questioned EMily.

Not having a concrete answer to Yeager, it didn't comment on his question. To Mochán, Ultron asked,

"What do travellers get out of getting involved in this civil war?"

"Good to know!" Timea said happily. "A last question", she stated, then walked over to a map, pointing to the swamps. "Is this the Fenwynd I've heard about?"

 

[Silence]

"How will the other elves react if some humans randomly appear before them?" Anik asked the other other elves.

[color=32127a]"Hopefully, we find out how we got here and maybe how we can get home. At the very least, we get a warm, fuzzy feeling in our tummies."[/color] the cat replied, before looking over at Yeager. [color=32127a]"The tree is, apparently, some kind of god, that the elves live inside."[/color] he explained.

"Probably about as well as we did." one of the elves who had first approached the group replied. "Your kind doesn't have the best reputation in this world."

Hannamar

"Yes, that swamp is the Fennwynd." the man confirmed.

 

[Silence]

"So what do you propose? Draw the weapons, and risk them getting more hostile, but also having some self-defense, or keeping the weapons down, but having difficulty to defend if we get attacked?"
Anik asked everyone in the group.

 

[Slenn]

"We never got that information, sorry." She had Magic Eye show the map of the sea that they travelled across with the same detail as the desert. And then Kaisir would be shown.

"That's all there is. The bright red dot is where we started."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Those of us with obvious weapons should keep them hidden." Robin offered.

 

[Silence]

"I can't keep them completely hidden, I can only keep them on my back ... or leave them here." Anik said, since she only wore the qipao and the boots.

[color=006d5b]"Good thing most of my weapons are already hidden."[/color] Matilda said. She opened her bag up and took out a revolver, loading it carefully before putting it away again. She then put her sword aside, her cane already functioning as a base for her magical blade.

"Well, good luck with that"

, Ultron said to Mochán.

Looking the maps of the seas over, Ultron didn't pay much attention to it, noting the basic route, but not much else. Like with the Calibethian cities before, it did pay close attention to the Kaisiri region. Once the map display closed, Ultron nodded.

"Well, that's that, then. Thanks for sharing"

, it said gratefully, then walked over to Yeager, puzzled by Mochán's statement to Yeager. If it had a face, it would have looked confused.

"Ready to head off?"

it asked Yeager.

"I've heard not much is known about the area due to tensions between the Fennir and Calibeth, but is there no form of contact between the two at all? No trade?" Timea asked, looking back to the inn keeper.

 

[Furioso]

"Elves? Hm, there's a race where I'm from, called the Kritya, who are sometimes called elves. They are responsible for creating some of the most impressive technology my world has ever seen. Here.... they worship a big tree..." he said, almost laughing as he started poking at the tree bark.

Turning to Ultron he said "Hm? Ah yes, so vhat's the plan? Find out anything useful?"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Keep them sheathed then. Remember, if it does go to combat, we're aiming to disarm and disable, not kill."

 

[Slenn]

"You're most welcome." She said to Ultron.

 

[Silence]

"I remember." Anik said grimly. "Who wants to go first, then?"

 

[Chungus]

"I learned of some other places we could go to, and how to get there. We'd have to get back west to get to any of them, though. And the road leading to two of the areas go through that city you came from"

, Ultron answered Yeager, beginning to walk back to the boat.

"We're going to adjust our travel plans, so goodbye to the two of you"

, it said through drone #2, after which the four drones followed behind Ultron.

 

[Furioso]

Yeager sighed. "That's not exactly the news I wanted to hear... but fine, let's go." said Yeager before turning to his new acquaintances. "Vell it was nice meeting you all, ta ta for now! And remember. Do not trust Anik." he said as he started walking away, the last sentence said with dead seriousness.

 

[Slenn]

"Bye bye! Um, by the way." EMily said, calling out. "I just want to know, how were both of you brought to this world? I ask this because a lot of our group members came through various portals of kinds."

The elves opened the storeroom door and exited into a kitchen, where a few other elves were preparing a wide variety of meals. All of them, the group would notice, were made with fruits, leaves and similar things that one would expect to get from a tree. The tools all seemed to be carved from wood, however this didn't seem to affect their sharpness or sturdiness. The room was much brighter, with glowing vines on the walls, ceiling and even inlaid into grooves in the floor.
The elves working in the kitchen were all green-skinned, as opposed to the white skin of the elves from the base of the tree. Their bodies looked shorter, and less lithe. The appearance of the group startled them, and they all began fleeing.

"There isn't much trade on a large scale, though some of the Fennyr import plants from their swamp, and others carry elven products over to the Empire. Mostly, it's just them trading things with the people living on the border."

 

[Chungus]

"I've been wondering what caused that, myself"

, Ultron answered through drone #4, who stopped to look to EMily.

"There was a device capable of forming... portals between worlds in the building I was in, and it's possible a fault in the system would have triggered it, but that happening without my knowing about it seems... very unlikely"

, it explained.

Ultron and its three drones would continue walking, stopping by the boat.

Timea nodded along with the man's explanation. When he finished speaking, she asked, "Where could I find these border settlements? And what look a fennyr of elven person look like?"

 

[Demonjazz]

Previously in a boat
"I dunno anymore... Carving symbols sounds into skin sounds really painful... I mean, I don't have a laser carver or something like that. Carving skin with a knife just sounds really horrible" He said looking at the book of rituals.

In the forest
Heno moved his way to the front of group. "I can take the most hits out of all of you. I should go first so that I can protect all of you... I am sure I can reason with anyone that objects to our presence." He didn't make an effort to hide his huge sword.
The Comet stayed in the far back of the group. "... I'm still betting that robot was evil." He said being one of the people that actively shot against the robots.
