One of the doors slowly opened, and an elf poked his head out. "What do you monsters want with us!?" he asked, sounding quite panicked.

Speedy did not head back to the group. He also did not stay with Mochán. Instead he did just vanish.

"Yes." Alain answered, before realizing it wasn't a yes or no question. "I mean... uh... North?"

There was a moment of silence from behind the door Cybil had knocked on. Then, a voice responded, "They brought humans, too?"
Another voice asked, "Do humans eat meat as well?" This one was clearly addressing the first speaker.
The door then opened slightly, and an elf peered out. "Are you going to stop them from eating us?" he asked, looking at Cybil's ears and tail. He followed his question up by asking, "Wh- what are you?"

"No, just make it so that it would be too risky for any party to go start an all out war. In this scenario, suppose one party with a robotic army decides to attack the second party with another. The damages from a clash like this would leave them both incapacitated. No one wants that, so everyone would be too afraid to make the first move. It's a deterrent. The [i]possibility[/i] of destruction as a result of these forces clashing will be enough to keep anyone from making the first move. And because of it, wars between nations, are a thing of the past. People would have to find another way to settle their differences"

, it explained, placing minor emphasis on "possibility".

"I have no delusions it will lead to world peace, but it at least will put an end to full scale, international war."

"Well, that's wonderfully open-minded of you. Thank you~" Timea said happily, giving Sibylla a pat on the shoulder with her free hand.

"We don't eat sentient life forms, and we don't have a god to feed us." she called out.
Sally paused.
"Yeah, she's probably the best person to talk to. In the meantime, I'm going to see what they do in the Kitchen." sally said, walking into the kitchen and just poking around, seeing what all they use to make their food.

EMily was able to assess the situation without anyone talking to her. It appeared that the higher elves had been cornered. She had reached the others.

Yeager's eyes had turned downwards at Ultrons first mention of WMD's, and they still were. He was silent for a moment. "Sorry, I don't believe you, I'm not that gullible. Dear oh dear, vhere do ve go from here..."

 

[Demonjazz]

"Hey now, Entire wars have been waged over tea. Do not underestimate the mystical power that tea has. I see nothing better to do anyway." Heno said journeying into the dining room, and looking for a place to cook as if it was any other day.
The Comet was the last to enter. "Oh, god! I've heard about this before! We're gonna end up like lost in a forest, starving to death, or turned into mushrooms! Freaking mushrooms!" he said obviously panicked, and ready to run.

"Calm down." Robin said to the Comet.

 

[Silence]

"Wait, wait waitwaitwait a minute." Anik said quietly to everyone in the room. Then louder: "We're not getting turned into mushrooms, calm down. Also, we could use some tea."
With these words she took one of her swords into her hands, grabbed one of the elves in the room (the ones with which they went up the tree) and held the sword just in front of his heart, cutting into his flesh.
"Tell me what's going on here."

Sally walked up to Heno and Comet, "Yes yes, the India East Trading Company, I've read all about them in my history textbooks, shut up about food."
she glares at Comet, "And you, shut up about that before you scare them- We're already Eldritch Abominations to them, last thing we need to do is talk about food- They think we're going to eat them, LAST thing we want is to further the risk of destroying any chance of Diplomacy."

She looked to Anik, and sighed, "Oh god damnit. Don't threaten them, please? Here, I'm going to have to deal with his wounds now, you know." sally said, pulling out a stimpack, "Do you mind?" she asked the person under the sword, "This will probably heal the wounds she's inflicted on you by my ally, who is also your ally." she said, directing the second part at Anik.

[color=9f2089]"Well I don't really need to stop them, since I can guarantee you that nobody here wants to eat you in the first place."[/color] Cybil replied to the elf. [color=9f2089]"I am... not from here, is the quickest way to explain it. This planet, I mean."[/color] She added after a moment. [color=9f2089]"We just wanna talk some things out, alright?"[/color]

Noticing Anik being unnecessarily violent, Cybil groaned.

"Oh, uhm... yer welcome." Sibylla replied to Timea, not expecting outright thanks.

Judging the time of day to be midnight, Timea looked down, blinked, and turned around to face Sibylla and Hillary. "Well, it seems to be late afternoon. If we head out now, it would be dark halfway through the journey, and that's no good. We'll wait for tomorrow morning to set out", she stated, then smiled. "What do you girls want to do in the meantime?"
