"Yeah, why would people lie." Anik said with a sarcastic tone. "Do you have some kind of ruler? And are these old elves already dead, like the older generations from the bottom are?" she asked the high elves.

 

[Chungus]

"Like I said, fair enough. It was just a suggestion"

, Ultron responded, its tone of voice returning to normal. It was quiet for a moment, during which it moved the drones carrying it so it was facing straight ahead.

"That was an awkward misunderstanding, I guess I'll add it to the list of things that aren't my finest moment. I hope it won't keep growing this much"

, it eventually said jokingly, trying to alleviate the tension.

 

[Furioso]

Yeager sighed. He wasn't exactly in a good position to start a fight anyways. "Fine, I'll take back my accusations. Still a no on the robots though, even if I wanted to I wouldn't have anything to use as power sources for the robots." The energy levels dropped, though Ultron wouldn't be able to tell.

[color=9f2089]"More progress, whoo!"[/color] Cybil excitedly replied to the first elf while clapping her hands.
[color=9f2089]"Alright then. Can we talk to them? Because it feels like if we don't then we're just kinda leaving this half-finished."[/color] Cybil replied to the second elf.

"We don't know, but we would love to be told as to why." she said, "If we could talk to your Elders, we could probably learn as to why. As it is, to our understanding, it was simply because they ate something not from the tree one time a couple dozen generations ago."

Aqua fell to her knees from Cybil's stun thingy, but got up a few seconds later. [color=66CCFF]"We're discussing that... What you just did... later."[/color]She said between breaths, understanding that during a negotiation wasn't the best time to discuss this.

The elf nodded, then indicated a set of stairs at the far end of the balcony, over the kitchen area. "Those stairs lead you up to them." he said.

Ultron wondered if there would be a way around not having a proper power source, but having succeeded defusing the situation, didn't ask about it.

"On a different note, where are we going after this? Going to the far west will require a ship, preferably one that can handle an engine, so we don't spend hours at sea. But we don't know what's east or north of the city. Going on foot, it could be days before we find something even slightly interesting."

At Sibylla's answer, Timea looked to her, dumbfounded. She was quiet for a moment, then said, "You what... ? You were forcefully transformed into this?" she questioned, sounding a bit shaken. "How? ...Why?"

Hannamar, present​

"Hmm. Well, let's head back to our little corner of the desert, to begin with. We still have to get you started on climbing~" Timea responded to Sibylla, cheerily, then turned and began walking towards the city gate. "Maybe we can do some self-defence training, after that?"

 

[Wackymon]

Sally nodded, looking to Cybil. "You want to lead, or will I?"

She looked to Robin, "You mind watching our backs? Make sure that they don't try to kill us?"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Robin turned to Sally. "Hopefully it won't come to that, but I'll keep watch." He thumbed through his tome, looking for a wind spell.

 

[Wackymon]

If sally noted where he made notes about a wind spell, she would point it out.
"Saw you talking about wind spells on page 42 and 89, should probably be on one of those pages."

 

[Drakmorg]

[color=9f2089]"Admittedly I may have gotten a bit too worked up."[/color] Cybil ashamedly replied to Aqua. She released hold of her device, which caused it to vanish in the same way it had appeared.

[color=9f2089]"Alright, thanks."[/color] Cybil waved to the elf speaking to her before turning back to her companions. [color=9f2089]"I'm gonna go talk to these elder guys. Some of you guys should come with me, and some of you should stay here and keep an eye on these guys. It's safest that way, in case any trouble starts for some reason or another."[/color]
Specifically addressing Sally, she said, [color=9f2089]"Well, things have seemed to go smoothly so far while I'm talking, so I'll keep taking the lead if that's okay."[/color]

Hannamar, past

"Well, ah don't quite remember all tha details exactly." Sibylla answered Timea, rubbing her chin as she seemed deep in thought. "Ah remember there wuz a nasty sickness goin' through the town, real nasty. Folks were scared outta their minds 'bout dyin' frum it. So they took me up ta tha ol' shrine a Kuku, an then..." Sibylla got quiet at that point, seeming to be deep in thought.

Hannamar, present

"Ahlright, sounds good ta me." Sibylla answered Timea with a nod.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"...huh. Thanks." Robin smiled to Sally. "Maybe I should see if we can get you one of these." He turned to Cybil. "I'll stay down here."

Anik decided to also stay behind, so as not to get in the way of any more negotiations. When Cybil was gone, she asked Aqua: "What did she do?" since had not seen the gun, just heard Aqua fall.

She told the elves: "Sorry about what I just did. It was a misunderstanding. So, do you actually have something to cook with, or how do you make your tea?"
She also listened closely, if there were some animal noises, which she could imitate.

Anik decided to also stay behind, so as not to get in the way of any more negotiations. When Cybil was gone, she asked Aqua: "What did she do?" since had not seen the gun, just heard Aqua fall.

She told the elves: "Sorry about what I just did. It was a misunderstanding. So, do you actually have something to cook with, or how do you make your tea?"
She also listened closely, if there were some animal noises, which she could imitate.

"I'm coming along, I'd prefer to not miss this." Sally said.
She looked at Robin, "Try not to die."

Forest

Anik would hear some bird noises, faintly, from outside the tree.
"We use the sap from the trees. If you put it in water, then the water heats up." one of the elves that had been working in the kitchens explained.

As Cybil and the others went up the stairs, they would pass by two residential floors, similar to the one over the communal eating area. On the top floor, however, was a single room, as large as the communal eating area below, which contained almost as much food as the kitchen had. However, this area housed only ten elves, five men and five women. They were seated around a wooden table, eating together.
Each of these elves was also green-skinned, but looked considerable taller and better-built than the others. None of them showed any signs of aging, despite being the oldest elves in the tree.

 

[Wackymon]

"Hello." Sally said, waving her arms, "We come with Diplomatic intention."

 

[Silence]

"So I would actually suggest we make some tea, sit down, and talk about these older elves together." Anik said. "Can you lead me, show me how the tea is made?"

This is some kind of nucular thing, but with less explosions. Interesting.

"I was told that a city called Vala may be interesting... It's northwest from the eastern side of the city I was leaving before you appeared, I say we go there."
