"We've never had any food shortages, at least not in my lifetime." the elf told Anik.

"We resolved the issue in a way that helped everyone. The elves we exiled were allowed to live in peace, our food issues were resolved and we were able to continue lengthening our lives to lead our people!" one of the elders said, sounding quite angry. He stood up and glared at Cybil and Sally. "I wouldn't expect a human and a... whatever manner of beast you are to understand."

The Terminator would find the entrance to the palace. If it tried to open the doors, it would find they had been blockaded from within, though this wouldn't make it impossible to enter.

[color=9f2089]"You're really gonna stand there and claim that evicting people from their homes for doing what they had to just to survive is helping them?"[/color] Cybil raised her voice and was clearly starting to lose her temper. [color=9f2089]"And on top of that, it's all just because you guys can't accept mortality or anyone else running things? I get all that right?"[/color]

"Last person who used artifical means to lengthen their life ended up ruling a simulation and repeditly torturing everyone to death, then bringing them back to life to tortue again. So, again, I don't really trust you with that."
Sally looked over, and tried to figure out how much food there was.
"Either way, how do we know you're wise enough? Age means little, in terms of wisdom."

"We let them do what they had to in order to survive, we just didn't allow them to do it here!" the elf yelled back, clenching his fists.
"No matter their reasons, they still broke the laws of our gods." another elf stated. "If we conceded that self-preservation is a good enough reason to break those rules, then we would have no reason not to kill the pair of you right now."

Sally would determine that the ten elves had enough food to feed all of the other elves, including those that had been in exile, even without accounting for the food those elves already had access to.
"Experience! Our long lives let us experience more situations, more problems and we learn from them. Our mistakes and our successes!" an elf replied to Sally.

"So, you admit that self preservation isn't a reason to sin. So you decide to continue to hold onto their food, and force them to have to sin to survive. So self-preservation isn't good enough reason to break the rules of your god, and you decided your self-preservation was a good enough reason to make them kill. The meat in their stomach is also in yours."
She looked over the food, "Either way, you have enough food here to feed everyone, even the exiled elves. So, you basically admit that you forced them to sin in your name. Well done, I'll just go and tell your god."

Sally stared them in the eye, "How much have you done? Not lived, but done. Do the same things, over and over again, even poor habits can be drilled into your skull. Do you do the same things, over and over again? Do you live, or just exist."

Timea kept quiet as Sibylla trailed off in thinking to herself, so to not disturb the train of thoughts, and waited for Sibylla to pick up the story on her own pace. All the while, Timea felt a sense of disgust at the event.

As she walked out of the city gates and began putting distance between Hannamer and herself, Timea asked, "What do you girls think of this place so far? That is, the world in general?"

"That's as good a place to start as any. Let's hope the trip there will be more productive than this one ended up being"

, Ultron commented, then looked towards Yeager again.

After attempting to open the doors normally and finding them barred, the Terminator sheathed its sword and placed his hand and stump against the door. He then began to push against them with superhuman strength, likely making the wood groan under the pressure.

[color=9f2089]"They only broke your laws because they didn't have a choice in the matter, you made that decision for them!"[/color] Cybil pointed downstairs to indicate the 'they' she was speaking of was the exiled elves, then angrily pointed her finger at the elders. [color=9f2089]"If your laws say that it's perfectly fine for you to force people to suffer for something that ultimately isn't even their fault, then your laws are terrible and need to change!"[/color]

"An then..." Sibylla repeated to herself, still trying to remember. "They sed ah hadta make a pact with Kuku. Ah hadta let it inta me, otherwise it wouldn't help us, on account'a us abandonin' it..."

Hannamar, present

"Ah like it. Seems a lot nicer'n where ah'm frum at least." Sibylla answered Timea's question.

Yeager shook his head. "Nope! Hopefully less trees."

"They aren't our laws, they're Videnavya's." an elf said to Cybil. "We have no right to change them."
Hearing what Sally had said, the elders stared in shock, as though they were forcing themselves to find a way out of the situation. Finally, one stood up and said, "You... you're absolutely right. We're just as bad as they are. We've broken the rules ourselves." She then began walking up to Sally, her eyes glowing brightly. "So, breaking the rules again to kill you won't make much difference, will it?"

The Terminator would be able to force his way inside, however the doors remained totally undamaged. The inside of the palace was less body-filled, though there were some bloodstains covering the marble surfaces. The Terminator would see stairs leading up into the tower, as well as doors leading to side rooms.

Sally responds by pulling out her rifle, and filling his head with an entire clip. [Quickdraw]
"Yep. Because your god called Us."

Robin heard the commotion upstairs, and quickly dashed over to the staircase, trying to get a read on the situation as best he could from the base and prevent anyone from rushing up there and making the situation more unstable.

[color=9f2089]"And how exactly do you know what a giant tree even wants, anyway? Is there really no way to appeal to have the rules changed?"[/color] Cybil replied to the elf. Seeing the elf threaten Sally and begin walking closer, Cybil placed a hand on the hilt of her sword, readying herself to draw it. [color=9f2089]"I'd still rather solve this with words, but we aren't just gonna stand here and let you kill us if you attack."[/color] Seeing Sally's response ahead of time, she stepped over to Sally and used her free hand to try and yank the barrel of Sally's gun towards the ceiling before she could fire. [color=9f2089]"Attacking them first is not going to help anything!"[/color]

"Well sorry, but it's quite obvious that they are the first attackers." sally shouted, "They're freaking glowing."

"It tells us, all of us, in our dreams. Ask the other elves, they'll tell you the same thing." one of the elves responded. He then asked Cybil, "Why would Videnavya change the rules for us?"
Sally's gunshot caused the elders to panic. The more aggressive woman yelled in rage, and her eyes glowed brighter. Vines flew away from the walls and ceilings, moving towards Cybil and Sally, intending to strike them like whips.

Robin would be unable to see inside the room without climbing all the way up the stairs.
"What was that sound?" one of the low elves asked, also quite frightened.

[color=9f2089]"Why does a giant tree even want people living inside it to begin with?! Point is, I don't know how trees think, but is it gonna kill you to ask?!"[/color] Cybil replied frantically to the elf as she pushed Sally and herself out of the way of the vines. [color=9f2089]"Also you calm down or so help me I will come over and make you!"[/color] She pointed at the angry elf.

[color=9f2089]"Just give me a second here, I'm working on something!"[/color] She directed at Sally.

In a quick, fluid movement, Topaz summoned his chakrams and threw one at each vine before they could hit Cybil or Sally. [color=FFCC33]"Did you forget I'm here or something?"[/color] He asked. [color=FFCC33]"You can't just start a fight without me!"[/color]

Aqua followed Robin up the stairs..

Sally's response was quick, and brutal.
She rolled away from Cybil, quickly downing some stead durring her roll, and emptied bullets into the agressive woman's skull until there was nothing left. While doing this, she called to Cybil, "She will not yield- folks like her never do."

She stood tall, and terrifying. "It Will. Repent, ye Sinners, or face eternal damnation." Sally said, reloading.
[Terrifying Presence.]

 

[Silence]

The hint of a smile appeared on Aniks face.

"Maybe we should find out." she said, gathered her swords and went to Robin.
