Sally would find a number of knifes, wooden bowls and tables, which were used to prepare food. There would be no sign of any flames or places where fires could be started, likely since the place was made of wood.

The elf Anik had grabbed stared at her, quite frightened. "I- I don't- what do you mean?" he asked. When Sally offered to heal him, he nodded rapidly. "Please."

The door opened a little more, revealing a pair of elves inside the modest room. "But... but I thought those elves were sent down below because they ate other elves..." the man stammered.

 

[Silence]

Anik did not resist Aqua taking the blade, so it would be easy for her to take it. She just stood there and said:
"Well, fuck. Are you cannibals or are you not?"

 

[Wackymon]

Sally shrugged, "And how long ago was that? I know it was long enough ago to have resulted in a mild genetic divide, so I'd say about ten, maybe fifteen generations." she said. "Either way, we're here to attempt Diplomacy. We aren't that good at it, as you can probably tell."
She sighs, "Either way, we're here to try to see if we can make it so these guys can return to their god. Peacefully, if we can."
She carefully takes the wounded elf's arm, if he permits her, and carefully injects a stimpack into his blood, healing any damage caused by Anik.
"Though, yeah- I do have to agree with Anik here. Are you cannibals, or not?"

Robin rolled his eyes, focusing instead on the discussion Cybil was having, trying to glean info without being intrusive.

You see, I've been a bit suspicious of your motivations for some time, it was pretty clear that you are no fan of people as a whole, and neither am I, but what you're suggesting just cannot be allowed. You played all of your cards at once and far, far too soon. You need to add a little finesse to your game." If Ultron or his drones had any sensors that could detect energy they may notice a slight increase in their immediate area.

[color=9f2089]"Okay first off, you sit down."[/color] Cybil remarked at Anik. A grey light flashed in the palm of her left hand, obscuring it from sight for a moment. The light subsided, leaving her holding a black, handgun-shaped object, though instead of a muzzle there was a pair of small, grey colored metal prongs. Pointing the device at Anik, she pulled the trigger, causing the device to launch a beam of light 1cm in diameter at Anik. If the beam struck her, she would fall to the ground as the muscles in her arms and legs would go completely numb and relax. [color=9f2089]"I am trying to do things here, and you randomly threatening people is not helping!"[/color]

[color=9f2089]"Anywho."[/color] She muttered, turning to the elves she had followed up into the tree. [color=9f2089]"Is what these guys here are saying true? Do you guys eat people?"[/color]

I assumed that this 'cannibalism' would be normal."[/color] Aqua said, before seeing Cybil point a weapon at Anik. Thinking it to be lethal, she jumped in the way. If it was electrical, it would have a similar effect on her as it would on Anik. Otherwise, she would not be affected.

"What? We're not cannibals! We'd never do that. We don't even like eating meat from other animals." the elf replied, now sounding more offended than scared.
The elves peeking out of their homes looked a little stunned at what they had been told. "We... we thought you chose to abandon the gods. Why would you do that if you don't like eating meat?" one asked.
Another low elf looked up at them and replied, "We didn't have a choice. Our ancestors weren't given enough food to survive, by your ancestors!"

 

[Silence]

"Yes, I get it." Anik said, not being very happy about the people apparently not being evil enough to kill.
"So we apparently should arrange a courtroom, right here. Do we have tea now?"

 

[Wackymon]

Sally facepalmed.
"Teamwork. We're obviously the best at it"
She poked Aquamarine, "No, it's not. It's a thing we have- We don't like eating each other. It's weird. Imagine if you had to kill your best friend, only slightly less awful. That's roughly the feeling most folks get when they eat each other. 'Course, there are some exceptions in the capital wasteland, but it's not called a wasteland for no good reason."
She sighed, "I take it none of you tree-livers want to eat stuff not from your tree, I take it. If there's enough food in there, I could probably fix something up for you all." she said, annoyed.

Robin tired ignoring the team's antics, focusing on the elven conversation. "What happened between you two?"

The Comet seemed to calm down when he saw one of the elves more closely. "Oh, you guys aren't fae are you?... Okay than. Everything's okay than. False alarm. We aren't going to get turned into mushrooms."

Having everything calmed down, Heno was still searching for something to make tea with. "Don't you guys have fires to coo... Right, you live in a tree.

Ultron countered, shaking its head more strongly.

"Well, mostly wrong. I don't like people, no, but wiping them out? No, I don't want that. The robot armies would just be puppets, being controlled by the respective sides."

It was quiet for a moment, then had its drones move so that it was facing Yeager from the front.

"I can't even give a mind to these puppets, or I would've done it already. So let's say that what you're suggesting is true - I'd be alone in a world with nothing but hollow shells. I don't want that at all... ."

Continuing, Ultron spoke with a softer voice, looking down a little.

Neither Ultron nor its drones noticed the climb in energy.

"We were always taught they they willingly abandoned our gods and started eating meat, including other elves. So, they were sent away." one of the high elves said to Robin. "I suppose that was wrong, though... why would the older elves lie about this?"

Sibylla shrugged to Timea, not being hungry enough at the moment to want to bother with trying to get some food. "Ah dunno, ah can't think of anythin' ta do."

"Oh, that's cuz ah got possessed by a spirit an' it did this ta me." Sibylla casually replied to Timea, as if it wasn't any sort of big deal or anything.

[color=9f2089]"Maybe they were just jerks? Wait, you guys are elves, are the old guys that made that decision still alive for us to talk to?"[/color]

Robin sat back, letting Cybil handle the discussion. The elves seemed to like her.

"I... I don't see why not. There's space in the branch-homes." one elf replied. The low elves smiled and relaxed, sitting down on the benches.
The elf whose door Cybil had knocked on nodded. "Yeah, they live up on the top layer. They said they were around back when the other elves left, so maybe they know what happened."
