You grunt and go down to one knee, then after a moment's struggle, down to both. Seeing Quan Chi summon a sword, you glance down at your own weapon. To your horror it is lying on the ground and you feel completely unable to move. When you look back up you see Quan Chi right in front of you. The cold, sharp blade pierces deep into you and prevents you from even screaming. Only a weak gasp escapes as your vision blurs.
OoC: off to bed.

Quan Chi gave a satisfactory grunt and lifted Shara with the sword embedded in her chest, careful not to slice her in two. He walked over to the pit in the ground, dragging his victim along. He took some blood from her wound and let it drip into the makeshift cauldron. As soon as the blood mixed with the oily liquid, a head rose above the bubbles. It was a duplicate of Shara, skin deathly pale and eyes and veins glowing a sickly yellow. He turned back to the real Shara. "Do not panic. You shall not be dead for very long."
The Doctor looked at the man with anger "So you doomed everyone who needed the sun for your petty vengeance?"
"I don't really have a home of my own or somewhere to go back to. I want to know what it's like." Robin admitted.

"Hmm. For all the things we do in a day, you eat remarkably little, most of the time", Timea commented, turning back to the meat after poking Anik. "Do people from the world you're from usually eat that little, or is that just you?"
Shortly after speaking, Timea turned again, holding out roughly 800 grams of meay out to Anik, saying, "This part is finished", if an off-hand manner.
"No, that's just me I think. I am used to eating very little." Anik responded.

Hillary daydreamed about the idea of tasting any of these fruits Anik had described, her eyes closed with her hands pushing up her cheeks. She'd have changed back to her dirt form quite a while ago having traveled over the 10 hours definitely enough to burn off the ice she'd consumed. When Timea mentioned more food was ready, Hillary looked to see what was happening and realizing that they'd been talking larger than she'd been paying attention. "I'dunno, I think she eats lots of food." Hillary commented, sticking an index finger in the side of her mouth.

"Maybe compared to you, but not really when compared to other people, Hillary. Flesh and blood creatures need ever so much more food than you do", Timea responded, then let out a small chuckle. "Honestly, I do a little wish I wouldn't need to eat as much."
With enough meat roasted, Timea began eating, herself, letting the rest of the meat roast while she did. After swallowing a bite, she said, "I didn't see any on the way here, Anik. But, they might just have been swimming. I do hope there are, they taste a lot better, and are more nutritious than bears are." After speaking, she paused, then continued. "Hmm. Could how little you eat have anything to do with this innate magic you mentioned?"
"Well you do eat a lot." Hillary couldn't help but agree. "I wanna try some of these fruits when we can though, they sounds really good Timea." She asked, pouting a tad. When the topic of Anik's magic maybe affecting her appetite was brought up, Hillary was a bit curious on that, wondering how that would work.

She finished the piece, then rubbed her belly, and let herself fall on her back. "I could sleep now." she told the others.

Timea thought on Anik's response for a moment, but put these thoughts aside for now, when Anik mentioned she was ready to call it a day. "Okay. I'll take the first watch. Good night, Anik."
With this said, Timea took another bite, and looked to Hillary once she finished. "Well, Hillary, wolved eat fruits, too. So maybe the wolf Vesh'Rah will know where we can get some fruits. For now, though, you should get some sleep. We'll have quite a bit more walking to do.""
"Okay~" Hillary said happily, pleased to hear that they might go and get some fruit tomorrow despite now having to go to bed. After a bit of consideration, Hillary would walk over to where Anik had curled up to sleep, and curl up close to her. "Goodnight everyone." She said quietly before snuggling up.
