Walking around through the forest, Anik would hear skittering through the foliage, bird chirping coming from the treetops, and moose calls [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20PET6-Hr_c], echoing forth from the distance. The latter caught Timea's attention, who looked in the general direction it came from, wondering what made the noise.
Sensing the hearts, Anik would sense small hearts, belonging to the birds, and rodents, none of which would be worth the effort hunting. Further, some 130 metres away, Anik might sense a larger heart, belonging to a wolverine. Some 600 metres away, Anik might sense a heart belonging to an Arctic fox, although this was moving further away, making catching up to it unlikely.

Hearing the different sounds, Anik was intimidated, not knowing most of it, wondering about the moose calls mainly herself.
Sensing the larger heart of something, she did not know what it was, but wondered if it was a little too big for her, as its heart was bigger than that of a hare. Hesitantly, she walked into its direction, using the cane, hoping to hear something to give her more information before she came too close. The other heart seemed better suited, but with it moving away fast, she gave up hope of following it after just a few seconds, knowing she could not run through unfamiliar terrain for long.
While slowly walking closer to the wolverine, she sniffed and asked Timea: "I sense something here, but I don't know what it is. Is there ... something I could do to find out? Or can you help me?"

"Not much, really, but it's better than nothing. It'll keep you safe from blunt impacts and a sword swing, primarily, but not so much against anything that gets thrust at you."

Noticing Anik approaching something, Timea looked in the direction she moved to, scanning the area once Anik mentioned she sensed something. Timea had smelled the wolverine, but not familiar with sub-Arctic fauna, didn't register as a potential prey, or threat.
"Whatever it is, it's behind trees. I can't see it from here", Timea stated, moving to a position where she would have clear view. Moving around some trees, she saw the wolverine move about with its head lowered and nostrils flaring, sniffing something out. It saw Timea and Anik, but enough distance was between them and it for it to not see them as a threat.
"Hmm. I see it, now. Before you head any closer, can you make out its shape with your clicks, from here, Anik?" Timea asked, speaking with a lowered voice.
