Day 14 - 11:12

After Anik finished praying, Timea would hear footsteps outside, approaching the doorway from a position concealed by the wall. Et stepped out into view and smiled at Timea, looking the same as he had the last time Timea had spoken with him. "You three have been very busy since we last met, haven't you? I'm assuming you're here to confirm or deny your theories, at least in part, correct?"

Village, church - Day 14 - 11:12​

Hearing the footsteps, Timea looked in to the direction they came from, wondering if Et appearing out of view again was done by choice, or if gods could only appear if out of view,remembering Atarakka having done the same. She didn't dwell on the thoughts long, however, instead giving a small nod as Et spoke.

"Yes", she confirmed, speaking plainly. "We went to Vesh, and what we learned there only pointed back to you. So, it seems we've come full circle."

 

[Silence]

Church - Day 14 - 11:12

Anik, hearing the footsteps as well, turned towards Et. She answered him, not knowing if he was only adressing Timea:
"Yes we are. I hope you can answer us our questions more precisely, this time."

The books present in the church would all only be about one single deity, known as Et.

"Hmm... maybe I will give clearer answers this time." Et replied, glancing at Anik. "Ask away."

Timea too, glanced to Anik as she spoke, then back to Et when he replied. "Well then, let's start with the biggest question out of it all: Are you responsible for the various people appearing on this world, directly, or otherwise?"

Church - Day 14 - 11:13

Having the same question, Anik did not want to ask a different one, instead supporting Timeas with a statement, even though she knew that Et most likely knew as well.
"You pretty much have to be responsible for this, as you are the only one who could possibly be powerful enough to do it. So, unless there is someone else from another world ..."

"Both of those things are correct." Et told Anik. "I am not the one who started it, but I had a hand in many of the people arriving here, yes."

Church - Day 14 - 11:13​

With what she suspected confirmed, Timea narrowed her eyes as she looked at Et. After a moment, she then asked, "If not you, then who did start it? And why did you help them?"

 

[Silence]

Church - Day 14 - 11:13

Anik thought as well, getting slightly angry that Et had not told them before. "And what purpose did it have, sending people here?" she added to Timeas questions.

"I don't know who or what started it, thus I don't know why they did, and I didn't help them."

"Right", Timea said, bemused. Crossing her arms, she blew a sigh, shaking her head. "Then, let me rephrase my friend's question: What reason did you have for bringing people from other worlds, to this one?"

 

[Silence]

Village Church - Day 14 - 11:14

"... What reason did you have, to have a hand in this?" Anik added, really slowly, so Et would understand the question correctly this time.

Quan learned all he could find about El, then closed the book, taking it with him as he left the old church and headed into town.

Day 14 - 11:14

"As you no doubt know, the war between the deities is in something of a stalemate. I wanted to break it, and end the conflict." Et explained. "It worked quite well, at least so far."

Village Church - Day 14 - 11:14

Anik let out a small laugh. "So this was it all along ... well not that I do not like it here at all, but don't you think it was not very nice to just let people land here?

Also, if it is working out well, so far ... how do you know that Calibeth will not appear at some point, being exactly as power hungry and warlike as he was before? Especially because people probably will begin to miss the warmth of the sun ... I do, at least."

While speaking, she walked closer to Et, hoping she would be able to touch him at some point.

Village Church - Day 14 - 11:15​

"So you can take the place of the fallen, no doubt", Timea muttered, then let out a small groan. "Never mind. The reasons don't matter to me. I even don't mind being pulled in to this world. But why ever did you send us to Vesh, instead of just telling me this, right from the start? I don't think it's been much of a secret that I don't want to get involved in any conflict; so I hardly made for a good tool."

As she spoke, Timea's eyes drifted to Anik moving towards Et. Believing Anik would like act too impulsively, she followed suit, staying close to Anik, so she could step in, if needed.

Day 14 - 11:14

"Honestly, I don't... he feels even more desperate to be apart from me than he was before." Et told Anik, sighing softly. He then looked at Timea and said, "No, so I can be a single being again, instead of... however many, scattered across this universe. As for why I didn't tell you, I simply wanted to avoid being to direct in my methods. And, for perspective from other deities on the matter, rather than just mine."

Village Church - Day 14 - 11:16​

"I don't appreciate being leg on a wild goose chase like this", Timea stated, noting the reason Et gave behind his actions, but not thinking much on this. Only one of her minds went on to think about it, while she moved to other subjects with the rest.

After a short pause, she uncrossed her arms, and asked, "Well. The stalemate is broken, you got your wish. Can we leave now?"

 

[Silence]

Village Church - Day 14 - 11:15

Anik stopped and asked, curiously: "Wait ... you say he feels more desperate to be apart from you? Does that mean that he is currently a part of you? Like all the gods were, before they became separate entities?"

As to look for confirmation, she paid close attention to the heart she read of Et again, trying to figure out if there was some part very similar to Atarrakah Sula'Rah, the moon goddess.
