Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 10:09​

"I said it ties in on the previous discussion, meaning it's relevant", Timea clarified. "Either way, I feel this is enough, for today. We'll have to pick up on both discussions, some other time."

With this said, Timea took larger bites from the leg. As she chew, she followed Hillary with her eyes, raising an eyebrow at Anik mentioning demonstrating how things were plucked off of Hillary, wondering why she said this.

"Found them!" Hillary would say shortly after Anik describing where the berries were located. Hillary would pick up a bunch of the berries, and started eating them, changing form in turn. She would start eating at some of her fingers too when she looked back down at the scarf, noticing the discolouration despite being unable to discern what colour it was. "Anik, I think your scarf ate some of the berries, what should I do?" Hillary voiced her concerns.

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 10:09

Anik laughed heartily about the way Hillary stated things. She answered: "No worries, just look if there are some left. It sometimes happens that some of the berries get squished.

You are eating already, aren't you?" she added, hearing Hillary. "Do you want to come back with them? So I can have some as well."

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 10:09​

Hearing what Hillary said, Timea let out a snicker, amused by her interpretation of what happened. With her mouth full at the time, Anik beat her to explaining what happened. With nothing else to say, Timea watched Hillary switch material make up as she ate the berries, while continuing her own meal.

Tearing off the last bit of meat on the leg, Timea began scraping off the small bits that had stick on it with one hand, and hold the second leg over the fire, with the other.

"That's too bad." Hillary replied as she looked closely at the scarf, picking out any more berries she could find. After this, she'd head back over to Anik, her hands cupping the remaining berries she hadn't eaten yet. "Here you go, I don't think there's any more in your scarf."

 

[Silence]

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 10:09

"Alright, thanks." Anik said and felt for Hillarys hand, also feeling her being back in the blackberry-state this way. She took some of the berries out of Hillarys hand, and put them in her mouth, then said: "So ... can I pluck some more berries of your arm, so we can show Timea how this is?"

She shortly considered arguing that this was not eating people, as you wouldn't eat the bush when you ate the berries, but thought it over and decided against it, as it would just get to more arguments if Timea would ever see her eating some of bread-Hillary.

 

[Zepherus14]

"I guess so, but can you take some more of the berries, I don't got any free hands." Hillary said, a hint of sadness in her voice as she currently couldn't stick a hand in her mouth while holding all the berries in her small hands.

 

[Silence]

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 10:09

"Oh. Sure." Anik answered, smiling, and grabbed most of the berries out of Hillarys hand with both of hers.

She then tried to put them into one of her hands, putting the ones which did not fall down without her noticing in her other hand into her mouth, and held the hand up and open, so Hillary could take some more, if she so desired.

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 10:10​

"Are they good?" Timea asked cheerily, after swallowing. St the same time, she wondered if Anik planned to eat any berries she'd pluck from Hillary again.

"Oh, some of them fell on the ground, Anik. Right in front of your feet."

"I saw them." Hillary said as she sat in Anik's lap and started picking the berries off the ground. She'd then occasionally take some of the berries from Anik's hand, while also eating from herself. "Ya, they are quite good though, they taste really sweet, like stuff from home kinda." Hillary answered happily, a constant smile on her face.

Anik happily let Hillary sit in her lap, kind of hugging her with one arm as she did so. "Thanks." she mentioned to Timea, quite used to having stuff fall on the ground and others mentioning it to her.

"Yes, they are really good." Anik said as well, putting some in her mouth, then thinking shortly and saying: "Could I eat some more from you, Hillary? So you can have more from me."

 

[Zepherus14]

"Sure, ya that sounds fine." Hillary said as she turned her head to look at Anik from over her shoulder, brushing her bunned hair across Anik's face in the process. "Would you like some berries Timea?" Hillary then asked, realizing Timea wasn't coming over to have any.

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 10:10​

"That's really nice. It was a good idea to include some fruits in the diet, then~"

Scraping the last bits of meat from the bone, Timea laid it aside, to crack open, later. When Anik asked to pluck berries from Hillary as Timea half expected she would, Timea looked on with a mild look disbelief, holding this for a moment, then shaking her head.

"No, that's all right, Hillary. I can only eat meat", she explained. "Well, this and the pulp inside bones."

 

[Silence]

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 10:10

"Yes, it was." Anik said and smiled.

When Timea explained that she could only eat meat, Anik asked, curiously: "Do you get stomach cramps or something if you eat fruits?"

Shortly after, however, she picked on Timeas feelings. She frowned, and said: "Is something the matter, Timea? I wanted to show you that this is not exactly like eating whole people. If I pluck some fruit off Hillary ... I think this is even some custom in her world. Everyone sharing stuff. So I have these berries, and Hillary can grow some, and then we share both of them, because it is nice.
Isn't that right, Hillary?"

 

[Zepherus14]

Hillary would listen to Anik asking about Timea's dietary limits, sucking on a couple of her fingers before picking up some of the berries from Anik's hand. She would continue to listen to Anik explaining herself, finding it a bit unnecessary for her to need to do so.

"Ya it is really nice, but what's a custom?" Hillary asked, not connecting the word. "We share stuff a whole bunch when there's something nice to eat. It makes everyone feel good and included and stuff." Hillary said, somewhat answering her own question.

Timea opened her mouth, about to answer Anik's first question, but kept herself from it as Anik commented on what she felt from Timea. "Not exactly, no. But it is still eating a part of someone", she stated, flatly. "We just talked about it. I thought you wanted to leave this discussion, but if not, then let's continue.

In my eyes, you were already sharing, by eating from the same source. But in this case, by having it come directly from the body, it's part of the body. And by eating it, as such, you're also eating a part of her."

After some time walking north, Quan Chi would come across a small farming village, in the hills. On a hill nearby, he would see an old building in a state of disrepair.

"I think we don't really disagree." Anik stated. "I think it is eating part of the body, too.

But it still is different than cannibalizing people. Still ... you are not human. So I don't care what you eat. Or what your own customs are. Regardless - eating parts of people who could speak, meaning they are people as well as animals, is only right when they agree with it. Or at least it feels this way for me.
I think this is how I feel about it.

Hillary nearly begged me that we could share stuff this way, because she felt it was right. So - I tried it. It's not what I expected, but ... it's just not completely the same. Still is "eating part of her". But is not cannibalism.

Does this make it clear? I don't really want to discuss more. Basically, what Hillary says about not eating people, but sharing parts, is right, even if she does say other words."
