Vala - Day 11 - 25:24

"Escape, then start killing. Harvest life for Lord Shinnok!"

Cybil made a loud whistle to get Speedy and Shara's attention. [color=9f2089]"Hey! You've escaped now, haven't ya? Doesn't that mean ya have to kill us now more than anything else?"[/color] She shouted towards Shara, using the thumb of her free hand to point between herself and Speedy. Smirking as widely as she could, she broke into a sprint towards the portal, hoping the two of them would get the picture before the portal had fully closed.

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 14 - 10:26PM / 22:26

"Yes, I doubt we could find out." Anik said, when her mouth was empty.

They ate their meal in silence. When Timea was eating, Anik was busy for a while just trying to pick out the meat that was caught in between her teeth.

Later, when they were about to sleep, Anik shortly mentioned: "I hope I even will be able to. My leg still throbs, and without any distractions for my mind..."
With that, she laid herself down, to sleep, though Timea would notice that even after an hour, Anik was not breathing regularily, like she would when she would sleep. Instead, she changed position several times, trying to get more comfortable, but failing to do so, as well.

After some more time, she gave up trying to fall asleep just like that. Instead she felt for her bag and inside it, finding the last bottle of vodka after some time of searching. Not wanting to drink much, just to help her sleep, she took a swig of it, then stored it back in her bag.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 4:00

After just 3 hours of unresting sleep, Anik let out a short shriek, which woke her. She got up, startled, and took some deep breaths, then hugged herself and sank back down. "It's alright." she murmured to herself. "You are fine. You are in control."

Vala Area - Day 14 - 26:11​

After roughly 3 hours and 45 minutes, Timea finished her meal, begrudgingly eating the camel's fur, too. As she could digest it, she found that not doing so would be wasteful. When Anik went to try and sleep, Timea suggested she would lay her coat out on the ground, so that if she would roll during her sleep, she wouldn't get sand in her wound. Over the next hour, Timea noticed Anik had trouble falling asleep, and it wouldn't result in Anik being too tired, the next day.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 4:00​

Not long after finishing her meal, Timea looked for a rock she could carve a tool out of, and began her work on doing this once she found one of suitable size. Still busy with this when Anik woke up, Timea was startled by Anik's shriek, resulting in her cutting in to her hand, cutting the thenar. Although, fortunately for Timea, the cut wasn't very deep.

Wincing, she set down the rock, reverted the cutting talon into a normal nail, and laid the blanket besides her. After, she approached Anik, softly calling out Anik's name, and crouching down besides her.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 4:00

Anik, still hugging herself, turned her head towards Timea, and said, unhappily: "Timea. I had the ... a nightmare. One that I had before. ... I thought I never would have that one again."

Vala Area - Day 15 - 4:00​

To try and comfort Anik, Timea snapped her finger, and brushed Anik's hair aside, then lightly nuzzled her neck, placing her right hand on Anik's shoulder, but let the cut let hang by her side.

"It's over, now", she simply said, speaking softly.

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 4:00

"Yes, it is. I know." Anik said, and rubbed her head tightly on Timea's as she was nuzzling her neck.
"I can't sleep again. But I don't feel rested." she said after a while.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 4:01​

Timea was quiet for a moment as she thought, taking longer than usual, as she was rather tired. "Hmm... . I suppose I could give you a little extra energy again?" she eventually suggested, tentatively. Although she didn't like the solution any more than using her power to put Anik to sleep.

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 4:01

Anik frowned and hesitated, but after some time of thinking, she answered: "You ... probably could."
She did not like the solution very much, either, but could not think of a better one, aside from feeling unwell, unrested and grumpy the whole next day.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 4:01​

With Anik agreeing, Timea stopped her nuzzling, and scooted backwards. "Okay, this won't take long." Opening her mouth, Timea took a small breath, then shone her beam of sunlight, continuing this for twelve seconds, stopping every four to take a breath. This reinvigorated Anik, and as Timea hadn't adjusted the characteristics of the beam to do only this, also healed her bruise, for the most part, only leaving a purple mark.

"How do you feel?" Timea asked once she stopped.

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 4:01

"Better. Refreshed." Anik said. "And my leg stopped throbbing. But if feels kind of odd, I still feel like I should sleep, but I feel no need to."

She sat up, and orientated herself a bit with feeling around her. "Thank you." she said. "I guess you can sleep now."

[color=0066cc]"It does."[/color] - You say, stopping by the body of an archer who never had the chance to draw his short sword. [color=0066cc]"And I will, now that I've evened the odds."[/color] You draw the sword out, then twist around and charge towards Cybil.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 4:01​

"It was healed, along with the boosting of your energy. I thought that I may as well do this, too, if I would manipulate your system", Timea informed Anik. "But yes, I'll go rest now. Good night, Anik. Try to keep your mind busy."

With this said, Timea stood up, and walked back to her blanket, laying down there. She fell asleep not long after.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:00​

Waking after some eight hours of sleeping, Timea stirred for a moment, then rose up into a sitting position. Her eyes half open, she groggily looked around.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:00

Anik did not feel like doing much the time Timea was sleeping, so she just sat by a fire, listening to the surroundings, trying to distract herself. Other times, she did some exercise. She did not cry, but sometimes just hugged herself and rocked back and forth.

When she heard Timea wake, she got up, walked near her, and smiled: "Good morning, Timea."

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:01​

"Good morning. Just... give me a moment to come to", Timea said. She then sat mostly in silence for a moment, the noise of her shifting her position, or a soft yawn the only noises she made in this time.

After, she stretched her arms, and groaned a little. "Okay... , now I'm active. But... it looks like the sun isn't back yet? Strange."

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:01

"It hasn't ..." Anik stated. "I guess we have to wait a little bit longer for that.

... what's our plan today? Go to Vala, ask, but what do we do if we don't find the others?"

"If that's the case, I think we should head south, to Palladein. This way, we can ask about how to contact Avinah, and possibly, look for a way to do the same with Calibeth. Assuming he has returned by that point. Plus, I want to go to that island Faotar mentioned", Timea explained. "Is there anything you'd like to do?"

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:01

"I ... really don't know." Anik answered. "Maybe I'll want to visit Kaisir. Talking with Avinah and Calibeth could be fruitful, if it was possible. But I don't know about the island ... I feel comfortable around you, but I don't think I can extend that to all that can change shape. It does make me feel insecure, if the things I know can suddenly change."

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:02​

"Hmm. Well, if you don't feel comfortable going there, then maybe I could go on my own, while you wait for me in Palladein. Maybe ask about how to contact the gods. This way, we could achieve two things at once, too", Timea suggested. "But, we don't know the others wouldn't be at Vala. So until then, there isn't too much point in thinking about this, yes?"

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:02

"I ... don't know. I kind of still want to experience it, in a way ... anyways, you are right. There is not much point thinking about it. I ... kind of got ahead of myself. What should we do now? Are you ... should we hunt again for breakfast?"

Camp, day 11
The portal was still open, but it was obvious only for a few seconds more. The rest of the mercenaries, left behind from Quan's assault, charged after Cybil like Shara but would not follow if she went through the portal, only acting in defense of their camp.
