Jantra looked down at the bloody axe on the ground next to him and sighed. "Sorry I couldn't do more..."

Mountain Camp - Day 11
You bring the spear back, retreating a step in the process and stabbing low towards the merc's thigh. You know that speed is of the essence - if you let them organise and attack you as a group you'll be overrun quickly. But the spear is not a weapon you are particularly comfortable with, nor is it one that is well-suited for being on the offensive. You glance behind the nearest merc, to see what the rest are doing.

Camp, day 11, 25:25
The cudgel user brought his weapon down on Shara's head, while the archer fired another arrow at her torso and a third man with a sword hung back with intent to strike if she dodged the other two.

"It's fine. We all have to start somewhere." Robin gave a small smile.

 

[Silence]

Camp - Day 11 - 25:30

Not wanting to watch or hear Shara fight any further, and thinking he had found any particular thing he could understand, like where Quan Chis house was, Speedy started to run in no particular direction, away from the camp, down the mountain, until he found a road.
Following the road, he would at some point arrive arrive in a city, most likely Femesh Daer. And from there, he knew the way back to Vala.

Cybil stepped back with her right foot to narrow her profile enough that Quan Chi's attack flew right by her. Afterwards, she turned back, raising her right foot to plant on Quan Chi's forehead and press his head uncomfortably against the wall, but not without any amount of force to cause injury. [color=9f2089]"You're way to easy to read. There's no way you could hurt me. If you just gave up and cooperated, it would be easier for everyone involved."[/color]

Quan Chi said nothing, glaring at Cybil.
"That's not what I..." Robin decided to shut up, lest he say something else stupid. "Come on. We'll find you a healer. Can you walk?"

Jantra stood up. "I'm fine, it's just a bruise. I've been through a lot worse just this week..."

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:03​

"Hmm. Well, considering it would simply be another in the line of conflicts, I don't see much point in trying to investigate this any longer. You're free to it, of course, but I think a history lesson is the most you'd get out of it", Timea commented as she walked.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:30​

After some 30 minute of searching for a suitable prey for Anik to try and tackle, having passed up trying to get animals that lived on the more rocky areas of the desert, Anik and Timea came upon a Fennec fox, laying down. It was resting, but awake.

Promting Anik to stop, while crouching down, herself, Timea informed Anik to be aware of the fox's bite, and that the best way to take it down would be to grab it by the neck from behind, and press it down.

With this explanation then given, Timea wished Anik good luck, and stood by, to see how she would do.

Jantra let out a short chuckle. "You're almost as awkward as I am sometimes. Relax."

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:30

Anik crouched down as well. Remembering the hunt from yesterday, she kept the direction of the wind in mind, while she crouched closer, stopping as soon as she heard some rustling from the fox. At some distance, she still clicked, ceasing it as she came closer.

This way, she came really close to the fox, without him noticing. As Anik was in range to grab him, he finally noticed her, starting to run.

Anik prepared to jump and land so she could change to running, immediately. As she did jump, the fox just had started to run, so she caught him on his back before he could get away, the strength in her arms pressing his back on the ground. The fox was trying to bite her hand, and came close, but not close enough, as Anik now used her knees to keep him in place.

"I'm really sorry about this." she said to him, then pressed his head down on the ground with one hand, after she had found the right place so he could not bite by feeling along his neck. Then she grabbed his neck with the other hand, stopped pushing down for a very short moment. As his head was going up, she snapped his neck.

Anik turned her head back to Timea, smiling, but with a hint of sadness in it, and called: "I got it!"
With that, she took the animal by its neck, and walked back to Timea.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:46​

"Excellent work! Flawless execution", Timea called out in return, clapping her hands together.

"I've noticed you always pay your respects to your prey, too. While I never told you to do so. I appreciate this, she added as Anik began walking back to her, more softly, but still happily.

Jantra slowly walked to get his damaged armor, clutching his stomach a bit as he walked.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:46

"Paying my respects? You mean the apology?" Anik asked, not understanding at first. "I ... just needed something else to say instead of that ... praying thing I did before. It's nice that you like it."

As she arrived before Timea, she said: "Now, for your breakfast. If I ever need ... could help in some way, just let me know." At the "could" Anik suddenly lost a lot of confidence in what she was saying, thinking that the question had been dumb, as she probably would not be able to help, at all.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:46​

"Hm? You'd like to help? Well, I'll handle the dangerous prey myself, but others, you could help with, certainly", Timea responded after a little thought. "For now, however, it would be more practical for you to start heading back, while I go look for something, myself. By the time you're at the campsite again, I'll probably be close to coming back, myself."

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:46

"Nice." Anik said, feeling appreciated. Feeling around next to Timea, where she had put it, she found her cane again.

"Alright ..." she added, though a little bit slowly. "Is the road around here? I know roughly where we left it, so I could find the way to camp from there, but ... I don't really want to get lost just trying to walk back to camp. Or are there some big landmarks I could orientate myself with?"

Mountain Camp - Day 11
You twist and bend forward, allowing the cudgel to smash into your back instead of your head. The impact crunches against your left shoulder-blade and you feel a sharp wave of pain as the air is driven from your lungs. The force of the blow brings you down to one knee and you take the spear down with you. But as your end of the spear is pushed down, the other end gets twisted around inside the thigh of your attacker. You hear another arrow whistle by over your head, where your torso was just a moment ago.

Camp, day 11, 25:25
The man with the cudgel screamed in pain as the spear was dragged down. Seeing Shara was stunned, one of the mercs said "Get her restrained!" as two of them approached.

Robin lifted some of the armour with his mind, making it float alongside him, to ease Jantra's burden.
