Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:47​

"There aren't too many things that might count as a landmark, but were largely moved in a straight line. If you head straight ahead from where you stand, now, you'll reach those rocks where we found the goats just before", Timea began explaining. She trailed off, then approached Anik. Snapping her fingers, she placed her hands on Anik's shoulders, and lightly pushed against them, turning Anik some 30 degrees to her right. While doing so, she added, "when you reach that, turn by about this much, then stepped back. "Then continue straight ahead again, and you'll reach Vala, eventually.

Are you up for going at this alone?"

Vala, Day 11, 25:25

Jantra dropped the helmet and stumbled back as the breastplate began to magically float. "What the fuck is happening?!" He raised his axe as if preparing to fight the floating armor.

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:47

"To the goats, then slightly right." Anik said. "I can't walk in a really straight line by myself, but I should be able to find this." she added, not wanting to burden Timea somehow, and slightly angry at herself that she needed help just for going back. "If nothing else, I will feel when I walked straight into a desert. And if I accidentally walk on a road, that should be more of help then hinder me.

I'm up for it. See you soon."

With that, Anik began to walk in the first direction Timea had showed her, clicking and using her cane, to get every information about her surroundings she could get, and to make it easier for her to walk in a straight line.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 12:48​

While Anik said her goodbyes, Timea let out an uncertain "Hmm... ", a lot less sure about the situation. For a moment, she considered going back with Anik, but decided to have some faith in Anik, and let her go at it by herself. "I'll be seeing you!" Timea called after Anik, then turned into a bird, and took flight.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 13:46​

Flying, Timea searched for 25 minutes, but found nothing worthwhile. With the threat of her companions being attacked while alone, in her mind, having decreased, she didn't give up, and instead headed further north. After 15 more minutes of searching in this area, she found a small herd of wild donkeys.

Sweeping in after giving the warning sign, she caught one, and took the time to catch a second. While, the donkeys amounted to little more than half of her required amount for a meal, Timea decided to go back with what she had.

After an another 18 minutes, Timea flew by the campsite, and looked around to see if Anik had arived.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 13:46

Anik was at the campsite, or at least near it, having a slight frown on her face. She had found the goats quite easily, but as it came to walking back to Vala, she had lost her way slightly, but was lucky enough to find the road after some 15 minutes of searching. From there, she had found the way back to Vala quite easily - at least after she had asked some bypassers if she was walking in the right direction.

Right now, she was busy with skinning the fox, just having started, and as she was sensing Timea approach, turned to her, her face lightening up slightly.
At least I was still here before her ...

Vala Area - Day 15 - 13:46​

Seeing at Anik the, but her not having made much headway in preparing the fox, Timea figured Anik had only reached the site only recently, but didn't mind this, just glad Anik had made it, safely. Slowing down, Timea dropped the two bodies, and landed nearby.

"I'm back!" she called out, even if she had seen Anik had noticed her approach.

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 13:46

Anik smiled and called back: "Welcome back! Did you get enough for your breakfast?"

She did not stand up, instead continuing skinning the fox, just because she wanted to be done with it quite soon.

"Oh, that's me." Robin said cheerily.

"I shall not talk." Quan said, sounding proud.

Mountain Camp - Day 11
You grunt as you glance around, seeing two men approach. You pull the spear free and with a scream of anger and pain you break it in half over your knee. Grabbing the front half in your right hand and the rear half in your left, you stand up. You throw the front half against one man, and with a roar you charge the other with the wooden stick in both hands. The pain throbbing through your left side is unimaginable, but for now the rush of combat is enough to keep you going.

[color=9f2089]"Well, that's disappointing. Then again, I've already got a buddy rooting through all your records, so we'll figure out what we want to know anyway. Just wondering if you interested in scoring a bit of karma."[/color] Cybil stepped back and made to exit the cell.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 13:46​

"Hardly", Timea responded as she walked over to the bodies, sounding disappointed. "I managed to catch two creatures, but neither have much meat on them."

Crouching down besides the bodies, Timea offered her silent respects, then grew a talon from her hand, and began the preparation work. "Oh well. At least I won't go completely hungry. I'll just have to look for a little more, later in the day.

But how did things go for you? Did you have much trouble finding your way?"

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 13:46

"That's a shame." Anik answered, feeling slightly disappointed, as well.

She frowned a little bit more when Timea asked about finding her way. "I must have made a mistake after the goats. I just found the road after a while. Lucky me."

Jantra looked back and forth between Robin and the armor a few times, then placed the axe back on the loop on his belt. "Oh. Magic. Right." He blushed and tried to look away from Robin as he picked the remaining armor up. Through the power of Furry Logic, the blushing was visible despite his fur.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 13:47​

"At least you've made it here safely. That's what counts, yes?", Timea said, more happily.

With this said, Timea was quiet for a time, but eventually spoke again, more seriously. "So, are you ready to talk about the bad dream you had, Anik?"

Vala, day 11, 25:25
Quan laughed. "None of you could hope to understand my sorcery."
Robin was curious about this fragrant abuse of logic, but decided not to ask.

Camp
Shara's spear struck a lightly armoured sword wielder, who fell, as she charged against a mage. The mage raised his hand and a sky-metal ring started to glow as chunks of the ground rose up and were thrown towards her. She managed to knock him down before they made contact, but now she had to dodge them.

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 13:47

"I guess it does." Anik answered, shrugging.

As Timea was quiet, Anik was finishing the skinning of the fox, and prepared herself to gut it. She was actually quite glad that she had caught something else this time, having had a chance of feeling the fox and therefore knowing how this kind of a fox looked. Still, she wondered if she would like the meat.

As Timea asked her, Anik answered, having prepared herself for the question before, anyways. "Yes, I am. How ... should I start?"

"Maybe we should check on that prisoner that Quan wanted?" Jantra suggested, mostly to change the subject.
