Vala Area - Day 15 - 13:59​

"Maybe... piecing together what happen in-between this event, and your arrival in the other city will help you move past this experience", Timea suggested, continuing her own prep form shortly after Anik did her own.

She was quiet for a moment, where in she washed some of the organs, then asked, "what do you think happened in-between these points? If you've had your eyes removed, it stands to reason you would be admitted into a hospital, to recover. Can you picture anything like this happening?"

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 13:59

Anik frowned at the suggestion, thinking she had forgotten the time because of a reason. Still, she did not object too much, not knowing if Timea was right, regardless.

"In a hospital?" she asked, not knowing that it was a term only for a sickhouse, in modern times. "Well, I guess I had to rest somewhere. I have no idea what happened to my eyes. I ... really can't remember. My next memory is from ... begging in the city." she frowned.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 13:59​

"This is from before you was taken in to the orphanage, then. Hmm... well, what can you remember from the time you were homeless like this? Was it still winter? Do you remember having any pain, maybe?"

Vala Area - Day 15 - 13:59

Anik thought for a bit, then answered: "I don't know. The days are kind of blurring together. It was also winter, when I was begging in the city, but I don't know if it was the same winter or the winter in the year after that.

About pain ... I know I was in pain. I was crying a lot. People avoided me when they saw it. I ... did not even really dare to do the clicking. Believing my mother. I was missing her, and my father. I don't know what happened to them. My feet hurt, my eyes hurt, everything hurt. I felt incredibly confused, and sad, and alone.
At some point I stopped crying. I found a well, I think, to wash my face. Someone gave me food. Someone gave me something to hide my face behind. But I think I was still incredibly confused. I was following people to their homes, but they shut their door before me. I did not know anymore when it was day and when it was night. I ... it's all confused in my mind. At one point my eyes stopped hurting. And when someone took me into an orphanage, all of that just became ... nightmares."

"It's... I can examine people and see what their skills and powers are." Robin explained as he hurried.

Camp, day 11, 25:26
The merc was unimpressed, charging forward with his shield raised, intending to smack her upside the head with it.

[color=9f2089]"Who said we were ever friends? I barely knew the lady."[/color] Cybil replied. [color=9f2089]"And if there's one thing I learned here, it's that there are such things as lost causes. Not like it's in my hands to do anything from now on anyway. Better we just end this now than stake any hope on a stupid long shot."[/color]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 14:02​

Listening to Anik speak, Timea finished washing the organs, and held one over the fire, while placing the others nearby.

When Anik finished speaking, Timea hummed, thinking. She felt shocked by what Anik went through; not just by imagining what things must have been like for Anik, but that she went ignored for a long time, this being something she had some trouble understanding.

"Well... if your eyes were still hurting, it then stands to reason this wasn't long after the procedure. So, you left before you had fully recovered... ", she eventually mused. "Did you ever try and find your parents again?"

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 14:02

"I did not." Anik answered, after she had gone through the procedure of putting the guts of the fox away, and started to wash it's insides.

"I knew I was in a different country. The people spoke a language I did not understand. I would not know how to even get back to where I am from. At least not at that time. I ... did not even really find the entrance to the city. It was quite large.

And eventually I realized that my parents would not even worth it to find them again. My mother brought me to this ... person ... willingly, and just left me. My father was more friendly, but he probably did not search for me either. He thought I would never be able to do things on my own. He probably thought I died. Also, they always argued about me. The orphanage ... it was better because no one really cared, but I got food, always."

Her tone of voice showed the development she had gone through, from searching for help to despising other people, and even though she was now more unsure, it still reflected in the way she talked about her past.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 14:03​

"It was probably for the best you didn't find them again, yes", Timea agreed, not taking long to do this. "Hmm. I'm not sure what else to ask, to help you remember what happened in-between the points in time. But, how do you feel now that you've talked about this experiences?"

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 14:03

"Hmm ... I don't know, either. If I can think of something more, I tell you. ... or if I have another nightmare, or something.
For now - I feel exhausted? And angry, and sad. But I also feel glad somehow, that I told you this. Does this make any sense?"

She cut the bigger pieces off the fox, first the head to put it away, next to the guts, then prepared the other parts so they were roughly of the same size.

Mountain Camp - Day 11
You drop the spear-shaft, not seeing a way to use it effectively now. Instead, you back-pedal as the merc approaches, and stretch your arms out to grab the inner edge of the shield. At first you simply let your arms absorb the impact, which is lessened since you aren't standing still. But as your right elbow hits the shield you feel it is time to act. If you don't, the merc will simply keep pushing until you trip and fall. So instead you swing the shield open, like a door. This leaves you open to a blow from the mace, as your left side is facing the merc. But it also exposes his body, and you try to take advantage of that by stomping at his knee with your left foot.

Finding what Quan Chi said insulting, Cybil began viciously beating him for about three minutes.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 14:03​

"It does make sense, yes. That was an emotional zig-zag just now, and it's not surprising going through that leaves to tired. But I think you feel relieved to get these feelings off of your mind by talking about them", Timea answered, more happily. "Overall, I feel we're doing good in working through your problems like this. We're making good progress, even if yesterday was a set back.

Do you feel the same way?"

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 14:03

"Yes. Maybe. I don't know." Anik said, not being sure. "I ... really need to feel safe around you. I don't know, something you said kind of made this nightmare come back, I think. ... I hope this wasn't the case, but ... well, it was yesterday, I should not think about this any more. I would have had this nightmare again at one point, one way or another.

And I don't feel bad that I have told you this. I knew I should, eventually. It's ... I think it's my single worst memory. I have a lot of others, pretty bad ones, but this ... this always comes back."

She smiled to Timea, tiredly. Then she created a fire, and started to roast parts of the meat.

Quan spent the next three minutes trying not to grunt in pain, and mostly succeeding.

The mace user went down, but as he fell he swung at Shara's upper left arm, trying to cripple her.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 14:04​

At Anik saying the nightmare resurfaced as a result of something she said, Timea pouted, feeling ashamed again on hearing it, even if she had already knew this was the case, before. It took a moment for her to get past these feelings.

"We'll work through this, eventually. But for now, let's eat. A good meal should help with the emotional fatigue", Timea stated, just a little hesitantly. She then was quiet again, for a shorter time then before, then spoke a more happily once more. "I'm glad we can talk again, without needing to worry if there is someone who could be watching us talk like this. It's a weight being lifted off of my shoulders."

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 14:04

"Alright." Anik responded. "I am glad too. This feels much better than the time traveling, before. And if I finally can sleep again ... it will be refreshing."

With that, she kept on roasting the meat, always smelling and trying a part before beginning to really eat it. For the first parts, she missed the timing a little bit, trying a slightly raw, than nearly burnt part of meat. As she made the last parts, however, she got the timing, and could eat without needing to roast more or throw something away.
She did not like the meat as much as she did like the meat of the hare, but it was edible, at least. Still, she wished for some new fruits, again.

Mountain Camp - Day 11
The blow smashes into your arm, and you can hear the bone crack. The pain is terrible and as you stagger away, you scream as loud as you can. It is only barely that you manage You grab the spear-shaft for lack of a better weapon, and shuffle away from the merc. He might be downed but he can still swing his mace. Looking around for a moment, you decide to make your way towards the swordsman you killed with your spear in order to get a decent weapon.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 15:00​

After concluding her talk with Anik, Timea started eating her meal. During, she made some small talk, but mostly ate in silence. After roughly an hour, however, Timea let out a "hmm!", while she chewed, to make it clear she was about say something, and spoke after swallowing.

"Anik, since I will be here for a while longer, why don't you go over to Vala, and ask about the others in advance? This will save some time.
