Vala - Day 11 - 1:34

After about 3 hours, in the morning, some people in Vala would see ... a smoking trail. If one would look closely, maybe they would find out that it was left by some kind of tiny flashing white fluffball.

Speedy arrived near Robin and Jantra. Wherever they were. Would not take too long to find out.

"Robin!" he called out. "I know where Quan Chi has his encampment! And ... Shara was fighting there. I don't know how it went. But he has lots of books there! About magic! You should read them! And also ... there is a puddle of weird stuff and Shara's and other people's real bodies! ... What to do?"

 

[Furioso]

Yeager sighed "Oh, that clown, you really should just put him down. I'll head out immediately." said Yeager as three of the Golem robots and six of the crab-like robots emerged from the factory and started to follow Yeager out.

Vala, day 12, 1:34
Robin looked at Speedy, trying to digest all that. "Shara? What?"

Mountain Camp - Day 11
You lean in to the stab, making sure it hits your already useless left shoulder. Then, almost blind with pain, you push forward. With his sword now embedded in your shoulder, you hope he'll be practically defenceless. With two vicious cuts, you hope to hack down both the spearman and the swordsman.

Camp, day 11
The swordsman was cut, but his distraction had given the spearman enough time to get away. the armoured fire mage thrust out his hands, spewing a gout of flame towards Shara. The archer kept his eye trained on her, ready to fire if she made a move.

Not wanting to disturb Anik's sleep, Cybil would leave the way she came. She'd come back every couple hours or so to see if Anik and company were still sleeping.

 

[Silence]

Vala - Day 11 - 1:34

"I know where she is gone!" Speedy said.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 2:00

After about 6 hours of sleep, Anik would wake.

When Cybil checked on her, she would be sitting near a magic rune-campfire, not doing much but waiting.

Mountain Camp - Day 11
You take a deep breath, then drop your sword and cover your face. You don't dare open your eyes, though you find you don't need them quite as much anymore as you can sense where your enemies are. You fall to your knees, tensing up to both keep yourself awake and to restrain your urge to scream.

You stay like this for what seems like an eternity, until finally the flames stop dancing around you. You open your eyes, looking up at the sorcerer standing before you. [color=0066cc]"Is that... the best you can do?"[/color] - You say, raggedly. You're vaguely aware that your hair is still on fire, and you quickly swipe the flames away with your hand. You count yourself lucky, overall, as your suit prevented most of your body from being burned.

Camp, day 11
The fire mage seemed surprised at Shara's resilience, but began charging again. The swordsman near her, in significantly less fireproof clothing, wasn't so lucky, rolling in the snow. The archer fired at Shara's right shoulder, hoping to cripple her other arm, as the spearman rushed forward.

Vala, day 12, 1:34
Robin picked Speedy up. "Where is she?"

 

[Silence]

Vala - Day 11 - 1:34

Speedy's fur felt slightly spiky and Robin would feel a slight spike of electricity, similar to what one would touch felt, after it was rubbed against a heater.

"She's in the mountains, near Femesh Daer! There are quite a lot of other soldiers there!"

Vala Area - Day 15 - 15:53​

As Cybil left, Timea looked on in confusion at the portal opening, still bewildered by it, even if she had seen it happen, before. Shaking her head once the portal closed, she continued eating.

When Anik walked back, Timea swallowed her mouthful, then asked, "I saw my hunch on her being here was right. But, will she actually help us in getting off of this world?"

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 15:53

"She has a portal to ... everywhere? ... I think, on her world." Anik answered. "I think we could use it - meaning we could go to her world, and then choose another one, where we could go. So yes, this would help us getting off the world.

We need to contact Cybil to make this possible, though. She just ... left ... to get me something that would make it possible to contact her anytime. Then we can choose the time, when we want to get off world. It would probably the best if we knew about possible destinations, before we went through Cybils world."

 

[Chungus]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 15:54​

At Anik's answer, Timea briefly wondered if the reason for other the absence of other people she had seen with Cybil and Robin before, is because they had been helped off the world, but didn't dwell on this.

"Hmm. Well, I only have two requirements for a place I'd want to settle on: It has to be habitable for me, and have nothing that could be called people on it. If a place has these things, I'll happily take it.

But what about you? Considering the things you're looking for, you'd have to be transported twice, yes? Once to get to some place, quote-on-quote; advanced, so you may learn to read, then once more to get to some place more quiet?"

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 15:54

"Hmm ..." Anik thought for a bit. "Wouldn't I just need to go to an advanced world, and find a place quiet there, after learning? Wouldn't that be possible in much the same way?

But ... I hope I could contact Cybil even after we travelled worlds, so ... I guess I could open myself this possibility, as well."

Vala Area - Day 15 - 15:55​

"In my experience - unless the place you'd settle down in would be near uninhabitable - if there are even quiet places left, they wouldn't stay this way for very long. It's possible it's different with other societies, but frankly... , I doubt it", Timea commented, then shrugged.

"What ever the case, is there something we'd need to do in return, to be helped along like this?"

 

[Kirke]

Mountain Camp - Day 11
You duck down, letting the arrow fly past above you while you grab your sword again. You get up and stand ready to receive the spearman's charge with your sword held out defensively.

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 15:55

"Huh .. you really think so, Timea?" Anik asked back. "Where I was living ... I wouldn't say it was completely behind the times ... we had huge woods outside of every city. And fields, plains ... the city was very big, but the unhabitated area outside had to be at least ten times bigger. Similar to here. Has it gotten so bad with "advancements"?"

She was quiet for a moment, not being able to imagine anything like "no quiet place". She broke off her thoughts when she realized she had forgotten to answer Timeas qustion: "I don't know of anything we would need to do in return. Maybe I'll ask Cybil, when she does come back."

Vala Area - Day 15 - 15:56​

"Yes, this would be good to know. It would be best to not encounter any unpleasant surprises", Timea commented in turn. She took a small bite, then continued. "But going back to the previous topic; Yes, I absolutely do think this. Going on yourself, and what you know, your world seems to be on par with this one. But mine is on a very different level. And I certainly don't mean this in any positive capacity. I haven't mentioned it before, but how society on my world is, I consider the population vermin; like locusts. They descend on an area, devour everything in around them."

After explaining her stance, Timea paused, then blew a sigh. "The largest cities we've encountered on this world, their populations would equal about one small block in a city on my world. Those numbers are so high, I can't even comprehend it. And with such an amount of people, there need to be super roads, to transport people and goods. Farms to keep everyone fed. Fuel for the industry.

I could go on about the specifics, but I think you get my point."

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 15 - 15:56

Anik listened to Timea carefully, frowning about what she heard. "I get your point, yes." she said after thinking for a while. "I just ... can't really comprehend it. How could anyone live like this? So many people ... and wouldn't people starve? ... How would people even orientate themselves ... how would I be able to orientate myself? It sounds like I would get lost, immediately. I ... I think I still want to at least experience it, just to know, but ... I think I would need someone to come with me. Or well, maybe I would find someone there to guide me, but still ... I don't think I could live there. With my own ... problems, how would I even be able to stay there for more than five minutes?"

She was not very happy about what Timea was telling her.

Vala Area - Day 15 - 15:59​

"If you really want experience a mess like this, then I wish you the best of luck", Timea commented, genuine, but also feeling just a little disappointed. "I wouldn't know how you'd cope with your sensitivity, if it doesn't improve soon. Or even if the improvement would be enough to brace yourself for the uncountable numbers of people. But, as I said, I couldn't say if every society, on every world is the same as those on mine. With luck, it won't be. Just as I'm not sure there will be a world without people, we'll just have to hope for the best, hmm?"

With this said, Timea got to her knees, snapped her fingers, then gave Anik a light poke against her forehead.
