Mei's smile wavered minutely, "I don't know, Markus darling. I don't think I have." She gave him a friendly smile to offset the vulgar thing he'd just said. "But if you must know I'm on the verge of perfecting a spell that'd allow me to not have them constantly summoned." She gave him a fond smile. "How was your summer break? I won't forgive you if you didn't have lots of fun!" This was a disturbingly different personality. She clapped her hands "Oh! Perhaps you'd like some coffee. I can get you that much for stopping by. OH! And you really should meet Edgar. He's a very nice freshman." She pointed to the taller boy near the back of the booth.

Markus smiled to himself, he could tell he got to her but she would`nt dare show it, at least not in public anyway.

"oh it was great, found some new spells to use, relaxed outside for days on end and even got some of that homework that I never do done" he replied still maintaining that same fake sense of pleasantness "developing a new spell eh?, what is it?, just gonna cut out the middle man and use mental manipulation for actual human slaves?" he inquired before moving towards Edgar wondering what could possibly be so fascinating about him.

"so Edgar, the name`s Markus law, best magic duelist in the sophomore year, nice to meet you" He extended his hand for a hand shake.

Mei put down the coffee and smiled, not a single trace of hostility could be seen. "Actually its a fusion magic my two golems with my body, reinforcing my skeletal and muscular structure, which would allow me to operate independently for extended periods of time. Plus would I want to take over people's minds, people either are stupid or frail in my opinion." She smiled at his introduction, "Well even if he says that I'm pretty sure Damien could give him a run for his money." Another thought popped into her head, " Oh right, would you please stop mentioning slaves. Europeans shouldn't scold others about taking slaves." She continued to give him a mellow smile.

Edgar took the hand and shook it. "Charmed." It was a very blunt greeting but his prior comments made Edgar less than happy to talk to him. "Nice to meet you as well, Mei and I had met only several minutes ago."

Markus turned to face Mei and let out a small laugh "your right they should`nt, but I`m not European I`m Australian, the differences are subtle but they are there like the fact we`re on an entirely different continent" he laughed again upon hearing her thoughts on people "stupid and frail?, gee you really are a queen, you`re used to being tended to and you have a low opinion of the people around you, it must be fun living in your world" he said smiling, a feat which was uncharacteristic of him.

He turned back to Edgar and let out a small chuckle "well don`t worry you won`t hate her yet, that comes later" he said still smiling.

Mei laughed "Australians were still europeans, my dear, In fact they were mostly." She paused and held up her hands. "But not all criminals." "And I've never had anyone to tend for me with the exception of Copper and Zinc. And as for my 'low opinion' it genuinely means nothing. Most people fall into one of the two categories. Usually to a lesser extent than me. When you don't have much mental capacity, your body works to compensate. When your body is rather fragile, your mind must take over. Now, dear, you're blocking the nursing club's booth, so can you please move?" One of the girls from the club had been quietly trying to squeeze through to no avail.

Today had been awful for Kelsey so far. Being forced into wearing this stupid hat and cloak, being forced to take a stall, being forced into a Corrupter's seat. She didn't want to be forced to do anything else! All she wanted to do now was read, and she had a good idea of which book she was going to go find.

She stuffed her hat and cloak behind the main desk, glad to be free of them, and grabbed a large book hidden underneath. The book's cover was adorned with magical symbols and glyphs, all dictating the book's now unreadable rules. The book itself was so old that it was rumoured among library members -the ones that were here before they went up to the Junior/Senior school anyway- that it was older than the school itself. Kelsey didn't know if that was true or not, but the tome was certainly old enough that it carried a permanent aura of mystery and antiquity within its weathered pages. Now that she was the only member of the library club, Kelsey was the only one who could hold, open and read this book safely. It was known colloquially as The Compendium.

She brought it over to a table and lay it flat on its back. She knew not to open it just yet; opening The Compendium like any ordinary book was a death sentence! She took several paces back and straightened herself to her full height. She grasped her plate from her bag and held it in her right hand, going over her query for a moment. She... She wasn't completely at ease with this. This was the first time she had queried The Compendium on her own. She breathed in deeply, preparing herself, before addressing it.

"Compendium Magica!" The words echoed for just a second before the book's menagerie of symbols began to glow. Kelsey levelled her plate with the book and then, as if in response, the book stood on the end of its spine. It floated barely a centimetre off the table and opened itself to the first page, waiting for a command.

Keeping her gaze fixed on the Compendium, she gave it an order. "C-check all records for references to 'Mo Level Plate'." It quickly got to work, quickly reading through its own pages. Just when she was expecting it to return with a gust of information, nothing came. Instead only two words entered her mind. 'Search null.' Null? But how was that possible...? There must have been something somewhere. She... she would have to ponder this further at a later date. For now she would have to remain ignorant of the Mo plate's details.

Before shutting down her connection to The Compendium she saw fit to update it with her notes. She extended her free hand towards the main desk and uttered the words, "Fetch updates." The piles of notes on the desk shot over towards her and formed a fairly broken circle around her. She reorganised the notes in mid-air in front of her, selecting the few relevant ones among them and mentally transcribing them to The Compendium before sending the rest back to laying on the main desk.

"Terminate connection." The Compendium closed and fell to the table. Huh... ha, she did it. That... that actually hadn't been so bad. It was true that she didn't get anything from her search, but worse could have happened. She put it back in its place under the main desk and, lacking a real objective, decided that she could at least follow up on her plan to get a new book to read during breaks. She wandered off into an aisle, waiting for a book to catch her eye.

"oh, sorry about that" Markus Moved to the side and let the girl pass moving to one of the walls that separated the nursing club booth from the rest of the seats and leaning on it his attention drifting back to the fight. "so...who do you think will win?, personally I would have said Cory at the start of this due to the fact wrestling beats boxing any day and that he has more backup than a riot squad but now that it`s turned into a street fight who knows" Markus inquired his eyes looking towards the ring.

Oh zero, zero where for art thou zero, but seriously where did he run off to?.

Mei grinned "Well, I personally like Cory's style better. Wrestling is better suited for fighting other styles than boxing is, the way I see it. Then again I next to nothing when it comes to actual experience. Maybe we should help him out?" She looked curiously at Markus. Copper and Zinc carried the coffee over to him, offering it up. She was watching the fight boredly out of the corner of her eye. "Yes? No? Surprise me?"

Markus took the coffee and made a long slow sip of the brew he tried to pinpoint what was in it for a few seconds before turning his attention back to the fight "personally I vote for no, I know about these kinds of fights, they`re almost duels for honor and you would`nt want someone interfering in that kind of fight, much less helping you, messes with your entire sense of self-worth" Markus said as coolly as possible taking another sip of his coffee.

Hey there everyone. I'm still here. I'm sorry I've been unable to post much. As I've said before, y'all have the misfortune of having a student for a GM. Anyway, here comes the connecting post for the new day. Feel free to continue your conversation, and then we'll start Sunday.
...also, I am sorry if this fight bored you. I can guarantee the next part won't. :)

Damien cursed as the fireball scorched his feet. "Dammit!" He yelled. He saw that it was that Chinese slaver girl, Mei, who had cast the illegal magic. "once I get outta here, I'm gonna make you sweep the whole school without your slaves, dammit!" He managed to catch a lucky punch on Cory, causing him to land on the superheated area. Damien felt a touch of mercy in his corrupted copper's heart when he heard that. "Okay, maybe half the school." He grinned as both he and Cory slowly stood up and met in the middle and began to slug it out. Damien fell to his knees as Cory kicked out his legs from underneath him, but Damien managed to send a backbreaking punch right into Cory's midsection. Damien slowly stood back up, only to be met with an earth-shattering axe kick to the head. Damien completely collapsed, falling to his knees. However, before the referee could intervene, Damien somehow shrugged it off, stood up, and slowly put his fists into a boxing stance as he charged at Cory. The moment Damien's shoulder touched Cory, he let loose with every punch he had. The arena changed one more time, back into the original ring, and Cory was slowly being buried into the corner. Damien's strongest punch, a left chopping punch, slammed into Cory's head, downing him and rendering him unconscious. The referee crossed his arms and raised Damien's to proclaim him as the winner. As he did so, Damien's eyes were exposed: there was nothing behind them. He had been unconscious ever since the axe kick. As if to prove this, Damien's body, held together by nothing but practice and muscle memory, finally gave in and slumped to the floor.

Quickly the announcer cut in. "I...I don't believe this? What just happened? Who won? We have footage of the fight, so please wait while we check the replay!" Four giant televisions appeared from thin air, showing everyone what had just happened. The film quickly went to Cory's axe kick. "Annnnnnnndddddd... There! Damien was knocked out and had clearly hit the ground after Cory's axe kick. Therefore, Cory seems to be the winner! But look at that! After being knocked out, Damien managed to get up after the fact to knock out Cory! That, ladies and gentlemen, is determination!" The crowd began to cheer for the two fighters as they were carried on stretchers to the school nurse. While few were thinking about it in the absolute chaos, the true pandemonium wiould occur tomorrow, with no MEC to stop troublemakers during the Student Club Festival...

Mei stretched, "Right about time. That fight was going on a little long if you ask me." She lifted herself up with evident difficulty putting nearly all of her weight on her cane. "Not feeling very good right now." She smiled at Edgar and Markus, "Some fight, huh? Cory did pretty well knocking out Damien with such a narrow margin. Must be nice having such a sturdy body." She hid her mouth behind her hand and laughed quietly. She began to slowly head towards the nurses office. "Come if you will. Stay if you won't." She smiled to Edgar and Markus, evidently inviting them to come along.

Markus stood there for a second contemplating all the other things he could be doing besides following Mei, he did`nt have to ponder long as that list only consisted of wander around the school or go to the library and look for a new spell and judging by how Kelsey seemed to disappear in the middle of the fight meant she had probably retreated to the library and he knew better than to interrupt her, especially when the library was one of his most important assets in improving as a magic duelist. He shrugged before following, wondering exactly where Mei was leading them.

Mei reached the stairs leading up to the Nurse's office and looked up them. "Oh dear... This'll be a doozy." she thought to herself. She looked back, and saw Markus there. "Tch. If he wasn't here I could just summon 'Dix-Nuef' or 'nursing angel Nono'. But then he'd see it and yell at me for using my magic for what it was designed to do..." She grumbled the last part rather quietly to herself as she began climbing the stairs.

Huh.... It was a draw then? Sofia had sat glued to her seat through the intense fight and it had ended in Cory and Damien KOing each other. Interesting. The crowd was getting restless it seemed over the surprising ending to the fight, so Sofia decided to slip out of the gym before things got to crazy while the two fighters were carried out on stretchers. Well, this is a magic school. There's gotta be a spell that will fix them up pretty quick, right? Right? Sofia thought, not wanting to think about what the school would be like with the only MEC member out of commission.

Markus followed behind Mei ascending the steps two at a time. "man school is gonna be fun tomorrow, it might even be like one of those lawless wastelands, might even be able to find someone to duel, but it`s gotta be good, something to really break in the school year" Markus mused, talking to himself more than anyone else. He looked to the top of the stairs and looked back before finally asking "hey, where are we going anyway?"

Sooo... huh, I'm in this now. I've PMed Xero, and he accepted my sheet, which is listed below:
Name: Aina Granberg
Gender: Female
Age/Grade: 15/Freshman
Plate Level: Red Iron.
Favorite Magics:

Vision Magic; Illusions of Invisibility: Can create general auditory and visual illusions, though not for very long. What makes Aina special in this case, though, is that she often uses this as a stand in for invisibility. She is not actually invisible, and will still show up on any kind of recording device, just no one can concentrate on her for too long with their naked eye.

Displacement of Anger: Can take any emotion she is feeling and project it into another person for a short period of time. It can only convey simple emotions such as anger, happiness, and sadness, nothing as complex as true hate or love.

Shields: Can create a large, metallic shield that can block most non-organic objects, but organic objects can go straight through it.

Appearance: Short (only 4"11'), thin, and unassuming in almost every way. She has a soft face that is mostly dominated by large coke-bottle glasses of an exceedingly high prescription above light green eyes. Her hair is the same almost-platinum blond of her mothers, but she has a distinctly "foreign" look to her due to spending her childhood up to this point in Sweden, where she was born.
Background: Having grown up with her father owning many of the oil fields in Sweden, Aina had practically all that she wanted. It was never very much, mostly just ancient books and the newest technology. Her mother, though, thought that it would be best for her to go to America for her high-school education, thinking that it would be best for their daughter to see other cultures as well as get a very advanced education. After looking for many months, they eventually found Cascade, which had exceedingly high scores across the board. After nearly acing her test, Aina and her mother were sent to America to live there for the next four years.
Relationships: Is mostly just looking to complete her studies, but sees no reason why she should not have friends. She does not, however, want any kind of romantic relationship.
I look forward to playing with all of you, and hope that we all have a good time.

Aina Granberg was watching the fight, and was over all impressed by it. She had never seen that much combat magic in her time here, just her defensive magics that she had used to mostly stay unnoticed. For a moment, though, she was concerned about what things would be like with no one keeping the peace. People will get hurt... should I even go until he's better? I mean, someone could hurt me, and then daddy's people will come here and... no, I'm sure I'll be fine... I just need to stay hidden like always... She walked away from the fight and back towards the other booths, not thinking much about keeping herself unnoticed right then, instead thinking that she needs to stay hidden latter.

James strolled into the room once more, twirling his fedora around on his finger with his dark sunglasses firmly covering his eyes. He stopped dead once he saw the ring was empty, much of the crowd were still present, some were angry, others looked excited and still others were looking a bit fearful.

"Hmm, what's this? They can't be fighting invisibly, otherwise that announcer would still be yammering on. No, the battle must be finished, but who won?" James busied himself asking whoever was closest to him the outcome of the battle, learning that it had been some sort of draw, or at least both opponents had been knocked out. James groaned in annoyance and took an empty seat.

"First that spell backfires and now this? Something must hate me. With Damien out of commission it's going to be absolute anarchy, funnily enough RIGHT after I just sign up for MEC." James shook his head, wondering if this meant he was duty bound to try and stop and wrong doing tomorrow or if he was technically exempt by not being formally inducted yet.

Terribly sorry, just found out someone posted. :c
Mei turned and frowned, "Nurse's room, of course. I am in the nursing club. Looks like I'll have to prepare for tomorrow... it could get messy." She stared at her bronze card for a second before hitting the top of the stairs. "We'll see. We'll see. I should refrain from anymore casting..." She rounded the corner and stepped into the nurse's office, where she turned and looked for the nurse. Seeing nobody, save the unconscious bloody messes on the floor, she tucked her dress under her legs and sat down on a chair, and turned to Markus. "Sorry. This is the boring part."
