The one hope. THE ONE HOPE i have left for the human race is Christianity. It gives me hope.

I personally would love to hear you reasoning on why Christianity of all things gives you hope. My views are the complete opposite.

OT: That humanity appears to becoming into a new glorious age, we are shedding off the more ignorant and wrong ways of thinking. More people becoming atheist, laws are being made on what is right, rather than the personal feelings of a single person, the fact that we are finally doing good in the middle east and how far we have come in such a short time.

Because it is a more rational way of thinking. Religion forces you to form your ideas around an an ancient book that has no practical use in today's world, it forces you to live in fear, it forces you to accept whatever it says as absolute truth.

The Bible is a way to live by and I choose to be a good person. I see atheism hasn't taught you that.

Atheism is not a belief or a way of life.
It is merely not believing that there is a higher deity.
So to say "I see atheism hasn't thought you that" is very ignorant.

For instance, if everyone was Atheist the situation in the middle east at the moment wouldn't exist. There wouldn't have been countless wars over the "holy land" because there wouldn't be anything to fight over.

There is no evidence to support your claim that they were atheist, other than a book about the "martyrdom" of one of the victims written by some evangelical. The whole shooting wasn't about religion, it was that the two shooters were both fucking insane and hated everyone.

I didn't want to either, I honestly hate the whole idea of a religion flamewar, it pains me inside deeply.

But while it is a two way road, Skull said his personal belief and some Athiests on here couldn't stand it, so its Skull is more innocent then anyone, becuase for the most part if an Athiest said something like "Evolution gives me hope in humanity." No one would say anything, but as soon as a christans says something about his beliefs, some Athiests go up in arms.

I don't understand? I was religious for more then half my current lifetime, 2/3 even. I don't think you understand how the crusades worked, and how children died due to being "Unclean". But I will admit, your good at egging on a response. I usually can ignore people that say insulting things.

That quote sums up the folly of religion for me, but it still annoys me to see aggressive atheists jump on religious types like wolves on a wounded caribou. People these days are more worried about who is right, when WHAT is right is infinitely more important. Eventually everyone is going to die, and that's going to be the point where they get proved wrong/right about their religion (or lack of it). Until then, stop demanding that someone interprets the universe the same way you do.
