3/4th of what I see around me, if not more.
The only thing that really takes away my hope is all those annoying pessimists ranting on everything that doesn't fit in their narrowminded views on most often either religious standpoints or musical standpoint.
The miracle of life itself and how humanity has grown to be so potent is one thing that awes me. There are only like a dozen kinds of animals who actually use the world for more than territory and food, one of those, mankind obviously, has somehow worked its way into getting a very exponential lead.
Yës, humankind may be destroying the earth or whatever, but that's just the nature's way of balance. When we eventually make the world so that we can't survive, we die. Then nature takes over, and evolution would probably start over. After which a new dominant species would arrive, and you can go on and on.
Love in general (so also friendship and such) also awes me. Friendship and love can both affect lives a lot, yes they can go wrong and they don't last forever, but a bag of skittles also doesn't last forever and you keep buying new ones as well! (Horrible analogy but I thought it was a funny comparison

I agree totally, the amount of pessimists and self-diagnosed depressed people on the internet really ticks me off, you don't gain anything by being pessimistic, it just makes things look even worse.. So why bother!
