What do you look for in a girlfriend/boyfriend?

I don't know really, I never really thought about, I guess people who are kind to me who like what I like and stuff... I've never really looked for a girlfriend or boyfriend, I've always just got a crush on someone and then gone out with them.
I don't care much for looks, too be honest, as long as whoever I'm with has good hygiene and stuff, I don't mind. I do like too look at peoples eyes though.

Personality is a big thing to look for in a girl for me. She's gotta be someone who either wont care, or will actually join me if I start up a video game (since they're such a big part of my life).

And I don't want a girl who is constantly on Twitter or Myspace.

She also has to have a good sense of humor and good taste in music and movies.

The second she says "I like the Jonas Brothers" or "My favorite movie is The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" she's out.

Firstly, stupidity is inherently unquantifiable. Trying to categorize it after the fact is fruitless. Secondly, what does "trace amounts of sluttyness" mean? "Slutiness" implies promiscuity. How can someone have trace amounts of "sleeps around a lot"? If you're implying of the provocative nature in which a girl dresses, then isn't that also equally unquantifiable? It used to be considered "slutty" for a girl to wear a skirt that was above the knees, and now it's pretty standard business attire. In certain cultures today, some of the most conservatively dressed females by our standards would be offensive to others.

I have given up on the idea of being with someone.
Everyone is their own fun little pile of psychosis and neurosis. Personally, as much as some distant part of me aches for someone to be close to, I don't think I'm ready to have my heart ripped out, my soul slashed to pieces, and my mind thoroughly raped.
And honestly? I don't think I ever want to do that to anyone else.

Oh wait, sorry, I'm reciting the list that led to a string of boyfriends that treated me like shit.

Turns out the longest, happiest relationship I've been in (aka my marriage) is with a guy who meets absolutely zero of my previous daydreaming criteria.

My husband is strong, he keeps up when I crack under pressure. He understands my quirks, knows when to humour me and when to tell me I'm full of shit. He's so oblivious sometimes, but he loves it when I point things out, like someone's ridiculous outfit or a mistake in a movie. He's responsible, he loves being responsible, being the man, the breadwinner. Oh, and he also gets me into FPS games, even though I hated them.

Turns out my perfect person isn't anything like what I thought he'd be. Funny how life works out.
