I also have to say this one. The boss battle before this was just better than the final battle at the volcano, it reeks of too much cheese.Gardenclaw said:Resident evil 5. What so suddenly we're in a volcano? Which has a really annoying quick time event. Totally shitty ending to an otherwise ok game.
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who noticed that most of the setpieces in this game were giant rip-offs of better games.Mirroga said:I also have to say this one. The boss battle before this was just better than the final battle at the volcano, it reeks of too much cheese.
- Volcano area feels like a Star Wars Episode 3 finaleShirtless Wesker screaming "Chris" feels like Liquid from MGS- The whole dialog between Chris and Sheva in the helicopter with and without the RPGs equippedWesker merging with Uroboros feels like him with Nightmare's arm in SoulCalibur

Funnily enough, on my first play of FF8, I got up to Ultimecia's Castle before I figured out that the number of magic you had junctioned made a difference to the stats.rhyno435 said:It used to be Ultimecia from Final Fantasy 8. Stupid boss had like 4 stages. I couldn't beat her.
Then I discovered the true art of the junction.

Aw come one, even Doom 2 was able to add some kind of creativity to the final boss level.anthony87 said:Touché my friendrated pg said:Isn't that how you kill EVERY boss in every FPS?anthony87 said:Isn't that how you kill EVERY boss in a Halo game?LordGarbageMan said:Halo 3s final boss was not satisfying at all. Yeah that's what pissed me off about Necron, i mean they could've just stuck in some bull about Kuja absorbing the essence of the Crystal or something.badgersprite said:At the end of Final Fantasy IX, they randomly throw you up against this enemy called Necron for no apparent reason...It just comes out of nowhere and has, like, next to no connection with everything else that the entire game had been leading up to. And FFIX was otherwise my favourite game in the series.
Awh man why did i read past the spoiler warning?MDM9000 said:gotta say marvel ultimate alliance 2's final boss (SPOILERS!! You're mixing up a boss fight with a final fight.TheHitcher said:I know it's not a final boss, but I'mma go with the two scarabs part on Halo 3 Legendary difficulty. I found it to be the hardest bit in the game. And I now perminently have the phrase "I GOT TWO SCARABS, REPEAT, TWO SCARABS" ingrained in my brain.
It's so rare newer games have a big bad final boss anymore. The last mainstream game I can remember that did have one was Gears of War 1. God, RAAM was such an awesome fight! Shame the follow up to that was a mutated lambent Brumak which died after 3 hits with a Hammer of Dawn in a place that you couldn't even be hit let alone die!

"Hey, blow yourself up while I shoot myself!"
"Okay!"
"Huurrr!"
"Duurrr!"
Doesn't count as a boss fight really but he was the main antagonist... kinda.
