What "final boss," or "final battle," do you hate the most?

Resident evil 5. What so suddenly we're in a volcano? Which has a really annoying quick time event. Totally shitty ending to an otherwise ok game.
I also have to say this one. The boss battle before this was just better than the final battle at the volcano, it reeks of too much cheese.
- Volcano area feels like a Star Wars Episode 3 finale
-
Shirtless Wesker screaming "Chris" feels like Liquid from MGS
-
Wesker merging with Uroboros feels like him with Nightmare's arm in SoulCalibur
- The whole dialog between Chris and Sheva in the helicopter with and without the RPGs equipped

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who noticed that most of the setpieces in this game were giant rip-offs of better games.

OT: Another crappy boss: Necron. I mean, WTF???

Supreme Hunter, Prototype, hardest difficulty. Actually every later level in that game.
This.

Also, the boss from FFIX. Who was he? Why do I care about him? Where did he come from?

It used to be Ultimecia from Final Fantasy 8. Stupid boss had like 4 stages. I couldn't beat her.

Then I discovered the true art of the junction.

(Islands closest to Heaven and Hell FTW)
Funnily enough, on my first play of FF8, I got up to Ultimecia's Castle before I figured out that the number of magic you had junctioned made a difference to the stats.

I had seriously played up to that point with only 1 or 2 magic junctioned to any stat!

The final boss in Max Payne 2.
You stand in a narrow stairwell. All your bullets automatically miss while he shoots back at you and hits you. Any type of dodging is impossible because you have to stand one specific spot. there is no explanation of why he is invincible or any reason to assume he is until after he kills you.

Heartless Riku from the Kingdom Hearts series. So damned cheap... It makes it even worse that you have to fight him twice in Chain of Memories. Or was it three times?

At the end of Final Fantasy IX, they randomly throw you up against this enemy called Necron for no apparent reason...It just comes out of nowhere and has, like, next to no connection with everything else that the entire game had been leading up to. And FFIX was otherwise my favourite game in the series.

Halo 3s final boss was not satisfying at all. I mean all I had to do was shoot it a few times.
Isn't that how you kill EVERY boss in a Halo game?
Isn't that how you kill EVERY boss in every FPS?
Touché my friend
Aw come one, even Doom 2 was able to add some kind of creativity to the final boss level.

Yeah that's what pissed me off about Necron, i mean they could've just stuck in some bull about Kuja absorbing the essence of the Crystal or something.

Oh and the fact that Necron is easy as hell too. I think it's like 9 hits at 9999 damage and he's done.

I hated the last battle in Crisis Core.
It was far to easy. You spend the whole game chasing after Genesis and all you get is that?

Every final boss from the Metroid-Style Castlevanias (Except for Order of Ecclesia)

They deal stupidly massive damage by only touching you

Oh, and Seth (Street Fighter IV) that jerk ...

Yeah but remember man;

Doom 2 > Halo

And i'm not saying that with the intention to start some kind of argument, I'm saying it as a person who's a fan of the old Doom series and not a fan of the Halo series

I know it's not a final boss, but I'mma go with the two scarabs part on Halo 3 Legendary difficulty. I found it to be the hardest bit in the game. And I now perminently have the phrase "I GOT TWO SCARABS, REPEAT, TWO SCARABS" ingrained in my brain.

It's so rare newer games have a big bad final boss anymore. The last mainstream game I can remember that did have one was Gears of War 1. God, RAAM was such an awesome fight! Shame the follow up to that was a mutated lambent Brumak which died after 3 hits with a Hammer of Dawn in a place that you couldn't even be hit let alone die!
You're mixing up a boss fight with a final fight.
Raam was the boss of Gears1, Scorge was the boss was Gears2.
Scorge's fight was interesting, but rather hard.

The Jackal in FC2.

"Hey, blow yourself up while I shoot myself!"
"Okay!"
"Huurrr!"
"Duurrr!"

Doesn't count as a boss fight really but he was the main antagonist... kinda.
^^LOL^^... that is all :)
