Yeah, but I think Fallout 3 classifies more under final battle than final boss.BrotherhoodOfSteel said:Colonel Autumn.

I'm the same, but the other part. The Exo gave me more trouble than the core (which I mauled in about 5 minutes). It took me quite a few tries to get him to the point where he was even close to dying. Everyone I talked to about it kept saying he was easy, that the core was the problem bit, but I didn't see it. I finally whupped him, but just from sheer frustration (almost broke a 'cube controller) did I hate that fight.Internet Kraken said:Metroid Prime in......Metroid Prime.
The fight with Prime was fine. But then you have to fight the Prime Core, which is just annoying. It's one of those bosses where you are given a super-mega weapon to damage the boss. That alone is disappointing and annoying. The boss also has pretty much one attack; an incredibly slow wave-of-doom that can be avoided by......jumping. Talk about lame. You also have to keep switching your visors during the fight, which is also pointless and annoying. Also, the Core spawns metroids. A boss spawning enemies is annoying in general, but when these enemies can latch on to you and prevent you from doing anything (like jumping to avoid the stupid doom wave), it takes the frustration to a whole new level.
Not even that. You just hold one button, and win.Fbuh said:That wasn't technically a fight, just a quick time event.DrDeath3191 said:Lord Lucien, anyone?
Oh I agree. The core is ridiculously easy once you know how to beat it. It's just that the first time I fought it I had low health from the exo fight, and I wasn't prepared for the stupid Metroid spawns. The second time the power went our right when I was about to beat it. The third time I was able to wipe the floor with it.BehattedWanderer said:I'm the same, but the other part. That is one thing about the Prime games--(most) boss fights are appropriately challenging. And wow, that power outage would have made me go absolutely bonkers and blitz out. I actually liked when it spawned Metroids, because a quick Super Bomb drop and I had more health again. The only hard part of the Core was figuring out which visor to use, but even then, after a few seconds you learn the pattern. And while I agree that the core wasn't the most optimal of bosses, it did at least make sense to go from the Exo to the core, demolishing the damn thing with Phazon-infused awesomeness (which I do feel would have been too awkward to put into the Exo fight).Internet Kraken said:Oh I agree. I liked the exo fight. It was fun and challenging and felt like an appropriate final boss. Which just makes it worse when the core comes along and sours the whole experience.
