Sports franchises. I don't care is mario, sonic, zelda, final fantasy ect... game keep being made, at least they are entertaining and good. Sports games are just...ugh. I find they are the only franchises that need to either be axed or released less often. Remaking the same game every year is just annoying, it wouldn't be so bad if they scaled it back to once every 3 or 4 years at least.

I think there's been too many wartime shooters over the last few years, it should end with Call of Duty 5 for a while me thinks.
That and Tony Hawk's games, the last....4 have been pretty poor. Since the first THUG anywho.

But most of all, guitar hero. Rock Band is better. Just die with some dignity.

Soul Calibur. It's never been good; it never will be.
Maybe you don't like it but many other people like the series. IV was a dissapointment yes but II and III are very good games.

I'm going to have to agree with the sonic games and the final fantasy series. I only played FFX, and FFX-2 which were enjoyable enough, but I'm just annoyed at the fact that most of the games (except X and X-2 which they messed up their own numbering system with) aren't even sequential in ANY WAY AT ALL!!! Apparently they're all set in the same world, but at different times in it's history, to which I feel I must put the question; "how many times can one planet be under threat by some kind of world destroying disaster?"
Maybe all FF games take place in the same universe but not on the same planet. But maybe I missunderstood your post and you where talking about FF X and FF X-2.

Please, no more Metal Gear Awful. I don't think I can take many more characters rising from the dead for no other reason than to have a plot twist of some sort, because Kojima couldn't be arsed to write a proper one.

"Wii XXX"

uhhh... what?

/ Oh, and as a WoW-player I'd say WOW, just to see some new ideas in the MMO market.

But not warcraft series entirely tho, warcraft 3 is the greatness, maybe warcraft 4 later :O

Well, it's obvious that X and X-2 are on the same planet, I was talking about all of them. It's nothing I have proof of though, it's just a theory I've heard. Probably should have made that clearer. There are a few connection features between the cames, other than the names of the summoned creatures (or airships in 12). Part of the theory is that the ShinRa company in VII was started by the little AlBhed kid in X-2, which would mean that X came before VII, which is irritatingly complicated, and leads me to believe that it is most likely that: A- my firend is grasping at straws because B- the guys who make the games can't be bothered to think of new names for everything each time.

-The WWII Call of Duty games, let's concentrate on Modern Warfare alot more (CoD:MW2 being made! YAY!)
-Sonic 3D games, make more of them 2.5 but alot better
-Sims (but not SimCity, that wasn't as bad)
-Need for Speed
-FIFA
-Any other sports game
-Megaman Starforce if Capcom keep on p**sing us Europeans off (still no EU relase date for no.2)
-Grand Theft Auto (Saints Row 2 for the win!)
-Any MMORPG
-Any JRPG series(how the f**k is The World Ends With You the best game ever? Those Trezians are weird sometimes)
-Halo if it doesn't come up with something new...except for Halo: Wars, because unless that has the same voice control as EndWar, it'll probably suck
-Gears of War: Controls are f**king annoying; people w**k over it too much (Gamespot did an article about how the series has progressed...after just 2 f**king games!!!)

Tomb Raider

I never liked the games, they were always littered with sloppy programming and filled with shitty bland art design and awkwardly animated control schemes.
But... its got boobies :(

every racer ever made
I wouldn't say that. Forza Motorsport 2 was an awesome game. And I did love Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec back in the day. But yes, the majority of racers are s**t. I got alotta other series I'd love to kill, but I don't have the time to name all of them.

Pokemon! They gotta run out of colors and gems eventually.
Damn, I was about to say pokémon :p

The lego series, Star wars, James Bond, Sonic etc.

Id include FF, even though I loved the series. The last good one that wasn't a remake was FF9, and even then it wasn't as good as any other FF. I dont care what people say about 10, it wasnt good. It was too short for an FF game, I didnt like the world map system, made it feel to linear since you weren't controllling the airship, you were putting passwords in. The fighting system in FF XII was awful, and since FF XI was mmorpg, I dont consider it to be a game, but rather a social network with an enemy or two thrown in to make it pretend to be fun. If the new one doesn't fill me with glee, then it is indeed time for the series to die, and Squeeeeeenix can put their time into new projects - For the last remnant and The world ends with you were both proof that they still have innovative ideas.
TWEWY was an awesome story IMO :] 600 plot twists a line?
