My 16th I guess. I got blamed for shoplifing (false) and the security guard wanted to make sure everyone heard what she was blaming me for. Bear in mind, I used to be painfully shy, so of course I ended up leaving the store in tears with make up running down my face.
Not as bad as some of the things in this thread, though, but it was pretty shite.

My 20th started with an exam in pharmaceutical chemistry. I spent a long time studying for it and didn't get much sleep the night before. Things were off to a good start. It was a tough exam but I pulled a credit out of it, so it was alright I guess.
Next I went home. It was about 1pm and nobody came home till 6pm, when I had to get ready to leave. I showered, dressed etc. and left barely saying hello to any of my family to get to dinner at 7pm.
I arrived at dinner to find that something happened with the reservations and our table got given away (I suspect my friends didn't make a reservation at all). We waited for 1 hour until a table in the outdoor club/bar place (not the nice, clean restaurant) opened up. I waited at the table while other people ordered. Stuff happened and I never got to order anything.
Noise was deafening. Food was imaginary. Drinks were non-existant. One friend bought me a drink (malibu and lemonade), which was nice of him. Unfortunately it tasted fucking terrible to me (like coconut in water) and I couldn't drink more than a sip. Gave it back with a "thanks, no thanks" and went about my business.
Was tired, hungry, thirsty, bored and starting to get a headache. We opted to move somewhere quieter, which was fine by me. En route, my headache increases in magnitude to epic levels and tiredness takes over. By this point I am basically an uncommunicative corpse. I announce I am going to make my way home and friends carry on without me. I get in a taxi and leave. I brought $150 with me that night and spent $30 of it. Entirely on the taxi fare.
I arrive home to find my family is already asleep. I take 2 panadol (paracetamol/acetaminophen) and go to bed.
I ended the evening massively fatigued, hungry, thirsty, bored, slightly depressed and feeling quite alone.
God that sucked hard... You know you've had a dog-shit awful day when the most enjoyable thing to happen in that day was to have a 3 hour chemistry exam.
I just wanted a fairly quiet evening with my friends, some drinks and a good pub meal. I got... none of that.
Now I'm sad... Fuck you thread. Fuck you.

jeez, i was gonna post some sob story but after reading some of these other posts now it doesn't seem so bad.

OT: 20th birthday I believe, Living in my new apartment alone, went to work with no one knowing it was in fact my birthday, no calls from parents etc, that's not what bothered me though, when I returned home and opened my mail box, I found a letter which was in a semi-home made envelope, I got all excited thinking there'l be a card inside from a someone
...I was a letter from the local sports shop, informing me that my membership has been renewed

Generally my birthdays aren't anything special, but this years was pretty bad. I spent the entire day sitting in a quiet room on my own revising for an exam two days later.
Two years ago was pretty bad as well, since I had a university exam at 9am on a Saturday. Oh yeah. I was able to take the rest of that day off, but all my friends had revision.

It was going to be awesome, we were going to Florida. But the whole way there (the day of the trip was my b day) I was treated like shit, and I had to remind me mum to wish me happy birfday.
