No, it isn't a gamble. They succed or fail mprimarily based upon whether or not they're any good. And Sam Raimi can make a good film.

It would lend better to a TV series or maybe a mini series where they can look at each plot in depth and then have them intertwine. They will have to invent their own main characters while throwing nods to characters and artifacts in the mythos of WoW. They might even have to throw in a few WoW bosses. I don't want to dismiss it outright which is a bit of what I am doing is bad on my part. I just think there are too many niggly little details to fit in which I don't lends to a movie. If you want to see what I think might better lend itself to a WoW production as I just said a mini series would be probably the best.
