I usally think Cloud and Sep-i cant spell his name right-aroth. Also for some reason I always think Lighting and for some reason snow cuz i really dont know why but snows character in 13 stood out alot to me.

Onion Knight from Dissidia now.(I know onion knight is originally from FF3.)
That's mostly because he is my favorite character and i have leveled the hell out of him. He is like a tiny midget god.
Overall i think of FFX first and foremost because from episodes 4-12(the only ones i have beaten) its tied for my favorite with six.
Yes, this fact has gotten me flak from people in EB. Seven ranks pretty low on my FF scale.

Whenever people say 'Final Fantasy' I think 'Owen Pallett', even though I shouldn't any more.
In terms of characters, though, Squall comes to mind. I always thought he was such a badass.

Don't get me wrong, i love final fantasy but i always found something to take me out off the game. When i hear FF, i think about those.
FF7 Aeris dead: Because people blame that on Sephiroth instead of Cloud! I know storywise, he stab her. I'm not a doctor or anything. But shoudn't the heart be behind the chest? The Ribcage is there to defent the vital organ, and have the shape of your lung. So Anatomicaly speaking, shouldn't her heart be a inch higher? He stabb her UNDER THE RIBCAGE. At best, he hit her stomach. So I think of Aeris sinking with the Drowning music of Sonic.
FF8 : My best friend who make me buy the game had tried to convice me that it get better later. I reallise that he cheated to finish the game while i can't get myself to finish it. I think of all the effort the character put into this could have easely been resolve if they put a bullet in the head of Elone. I stand by my decision.
FF9 : I know it a japanese trand but no male villain look good in a bikini! NOT ONE. I like him better when i thought he was a she. Because, for one, it a female character that isn't about being under a Main bad guy and ultimatly be betrayed only to join your party later on. To me, "She" was a manipulative woman with a agenda!
ff10 : Kilmary and pokemon theme song..... enough said!

Most certainly Setzer, the memorable (not to mention awesome) gambler of Final Fantasy 6. I'm thinking of his grand, inspiring theme right now. Upon further thought, Cyan, the samurai from the same game, was a pretty great character as well.
well due to freaking final fantasy dissidia Jecht and Sephiroth are always brought to mind, god dammit those assholes pissed me off on that game
