On one play through, I only lost Jack. (Thank God! I loathed her with a passion.)

On a different one, I lost Legion, Mordin, Grunt, Jack, Garrus, and Thane. Sure things didn't seem to go so well for that fight, but it seemed far more realistic. When going up against odds THAT bad, it makes sense that people are going to die, and not just one or two of them.

Mordin Solus.

I won't hear him performing Gilbert & Sullivan in ME3 ='(

As for the other Normandy crew, only Dr. Chakwas survived, everybody else turned into goop in front of my eyes.

Second Playthrough (Renegade): Only Katsumi died (I thought she could handle the pipes, since she was a TECH EXPERT and a MASTER THIEF). **grumble grumble**
She can handle the pipes, I've done so. She must not have been loyal or your off team leader was wrong/unloyal

Legion. I had Samara lead the team and had Legion go through the vents. Next thing I know rocket to the flashlight head and it was game over man. Only death that time. Luckily I didn't pick Tali to go into the vents. I would have been very sad (0.0)

Zaeed died on me for the mission. He was the leader of the Fire Team. I thought that because he founded an ENTIRE MERCENARY GROUP that he might have some leadership skills.

No one else died. All my other choices were good. Garrus handled the Fire Team the other time, Tali went through the vents and Mordin took the team out. All of these decisions I thought were pretty logical.

I was incredibly angry when he died, on the principle of the matter.
Yes, to be honest the reason he died would probably be Bioware forgetting to add him in, I mean he along with Garrus are pretty much the only two that are perfectly suited for the role!
Agreed! It's why I found that development to be kind of stupid.
Haha.

This time everything went well of course. No one died.

I'm setting up my playthroughs for ME3.

Paragon FemShep, with Garrus.
Renegade Shep, with Jack.
Paragon Shep... here's hoping I can get with Kaiden in ME3.

Jack. Not every playthrough had someone die in the suicide mission, but when one did, it was always Jack.

Manged to get everyone through safe on the first go through :)

Having said that, on my Renegade play through, I went for the opposite approach and no one survived. Not even Shepard :(

In my first playthrough, a couple. Jack and someone else. It's been a while.
With the "second+ playthrough" and achievement buffs, it's hard to get anyone killed, since it gives me like 50,000 of every resource when I start.

In my first run, I didn't lose any party members, but because I took extra time to finish loyalty missions after my crew was abducted, I lost most of the crew.

At first I felt happy that I didn't lose any of my party members, but then I walked around the ship which remained, for the most part, empty. I also had taken an interest in Kelly, so that sucked too.

Although this character was a paragon (pretty much 100 percent paragon), for some reason on my first playthrough, I decided to choose the renegade ending... I don't know why...

Nobody, it was obvious who to send where, and I liked doing the missions so I did them.

Sad about Kelly tho.

Second playthrough, nobody died including Kelly.

I played ME2 and couldn't finish it, mostly because the combat became such dross after I got the armor-piercing upgrade for the sub-machine gun,(I still question why bioware would do such a thing, effectively turning the sub-machine guns into an oh-fuck-it button.) and because the pink floaty alien things in the index aren't allowed to be kept as pets, an obvious bug, or a design choice so poor that a caterpillar could be considered as a vast improvement over which dimwit made it.

Anywho, whenever I thought about ME2 I eventually wanted to finish it, for closures sake. I then found out that the ending had a suicide mission in which several characters could die. I thought this would be a good chance to thin down my character rooster, due to most of them either being idiots who can't be bothered to list there next of kin in the application form, part of the previous game and constantly making references I don't get and not making any attempt to develop, or have personalities comparable to that of a brick . I thinned it down to whoever I thought should be spared from the horrible decision making of Commander Sheep Shepard, and I immediately thought Jack, mostly because she was the center of my favorite mission, the prison. I also thought of Mordin. The drone(brick), Mandibles(previous game), Covergirl(thanks for telling me you had a sister), Eddie Murphy(application forms should be filled out), Whatitsface(brick), The Scantily Clad Smurf(brick), GodzillaSuit(application form blank in some areas), and Masked Bisexual(part of previous game) will all die.

The result? Turns out making people die was easier than expected, as Mordin died anyway. leaving Jack, which is a pretty negative result, if you ask me.

Nobody~!

Well technically, that's not true. Legion, my tech specialist, died. Samara was fire team leader and because Miranda said it was a good choice, I thought it was the correct one. But because Legion was one of my favorites, I was all like, "AAAAHHH!! NOOOO! RESTART! RESTART! WALKTHROUGH TIME!" and discovered that Samara was the error. When I picked Garrus next time, Miranda was all huffy about it and I could tell it was because she knew we were screwing each other. Well shut up, Miranda! You misled me and got Legion killed!

...You're horrible! The Hanar are sapient beings, not animals!

From the team I lost Miranda cause I lost her loyalty after the argument with Jack, and I lost Kelly and a bunch of the crew cause I didn't go through straight away.

Did anybody die in the end of your first Mass Effect 2 playthrough? If so, who?

I only had the loyalty of about 60% of my crew. By pure luck only Miranda died. I was playing on the difficulty above normal.
Yeah only one (haha, captcha is 'too late' bit ironic). Didn't like her anyway, debating whether or not to try re-doing it, sifting through old saves till I go far back enough to do her mission (cosmic chick, stupid psychic powers, mother of a murderer or something, she's completely not memorable enough to have her info stored in my brain to be blunt). Otherwise, yeah, everyone survived (especially the important ones), all you need to do is do their missions, get em loyal, I even broke up a fight with Jack and Miranda, choosing Miranda's side, no consequnce, all down to the personalised mission, which most of them sucked anyway.
