1) Rather useless in the grand scheme of things, though perhaps a good father-figure.
2) Job? Aptitude? In any case, she's like saving two people (albeit two nondescript people). I just hope that she's due a week or two post-fallout danger.
3) Also pretty useless in survival terms, though if the police officer is physically weak, then he may come in handy. Should have good genes for reproduction.
4) As much of a shoe-in as it gets. History is important. That said, he'll be needing more than our combined weights in paper down the road.
5) While the arts are important, and I desperately want to say yes, she seems like dead weight. Genes could be nice, though she might be a retarted starlet (wouldn't be the first).
6) Is it a she? Is she hot? Could be key in the repopulation. Could also be unbearable for those 3 months. Not to mention useless except as a baby generator.
7) Almost invaluble, both for knowledge and more practical uses. Obviously not a licensed doctor, but as close as we have. Might be able to circumvent with texts, but rendered necessary with experience, especially in combination with the librarian's wife.
8) Someone's gotta keep the peace! A good choice, simply because we'll need such people later on, but not a first pick. Also has a gun for those pesky supermutants.
9) A spiritual leader is needed. If not because of their religion, then because of their intermediary role during disputes, and the morals the religion promotes. I would take the rabbi himself over just the texts, since they can be widely interpreted. Also, I'm not jewish.
10) Biochemist? Really? Isn't that something we may be better without? Seriously though, may just be useful, though I can't really say how, if everything's going to be rubble. Not a first pick.
Christ, that's a thick wall of text. It sounds more like a walkthrough than an opinion.

Only 6 people can survive, meaning 4 people have to die.
What about me? Does that mean that 7 are saved? Or that 5 die?
Assuming that I'm not a part of the question, if the officer and/or the biochemist are unrelated women, then the librarian, the athlete, the starlet and the college brat all die. If they are male (and the med student is too), then they are to be replaced with the starlet and the co-ed (if female; otherwise it's the athlete), in order of importance. This is simply to ensure that the gene pool isn't frighteningly small.
What a fascinating topic...
