Yeah. Doomguy. He's a ton of characterization in that one little animated head in the middle of your HUD. Doomguy was the first and the best.

Ellen Ripley was a Flight Lieutenant in the space equivalent of the Merchant Navy. In that sense she IS a Lieutenant but not in a military force.
When she travels on the Sulako with the Space Marines she is working for Weyland Yutani Coporation as a consultant to the Space Marines who are part of the colonial military force. Burke is working for Weyland Yutani also and is the company's representative that owns the atmosphere processing plant.
So, No. Ripley is not a Space Marine.... but is harder than all of them!

People keep saying this. And while i understand the theory behind it i really cannot see how a woman dumped into a shit-hole of a situation is more impressive than the 40K marines, who have chainsaw-swords. The sentiment is nice, but there's character and then there's marine-ness.Genjutsushi said:
