I'm hoping that Sony does to the PS3 what it did to the PS2, bring out a game that really pushes the boundries of its power. Shadow of the Colossus did this for the PS2, I can't wait untill they unveil a game for the PS3 along the same lines.

Prototype isn't exclusive, so I'm happy. You can keep your inFamous, GoW3 and Heavy Rain.
I don't need 'em.

Um, it's not Metal Gear Solid? Though Double Agent was much better than MGS 4.
No, it wasn't. A)Double Agent sucked so bad. B)You can't deny that MGS4 (as well as the other MGS games, I guess) is a good game, or else how are you better than Dingo?
Because I actually played and liked Double Agent, and played and hated MGS 4. Unlike him I try what I flame.
Oh, fair enough, although I don't know how that's possible. I liked what little of MGS4 I was able to convince Paladin to let me play on his PS3, but I hated Double Agent, so I was sure you were trying to reverse-flame him. Still, personal tastes being what they are, I suppose it's just possible that you like a game I don't :)
That is the case, as the only Splinter Cells I played were Double Agent and Pandora's Box (Pandora the better of the two). I still liked DA, infuriating AI besides. (Or is it just like that for every stealh game?) And MGS 4 could've been good if it weren't for the atrocious amounts of cutscenes. I just kept skipping them cause the story was that idiotic.
/facepalm. You've only played through Double Agent and Pandora Tomorrow? You know that DA is the game SC fans pretend never existed and, before that, it was PT, right? Seriously, play through either the original or Chaos Theory (preferably both, CT is the best, but the original has a more forgiving difficulty curve, better for newbies).

As for MGS, whatever. I've always been a fan of stories and cutscenes, so it didn't faze me so much, but I can see how that would get annoying.
The thing is I loved the story for both those games, especially PT. And MGS 2 was the best of the ones I played (3,4) even though the story shitted itself inside out later on. The problem with four is that on average I think the cutscenes lasted half an hour, or at least that's how I feel.

But I'll be sure to try CT sometimes. Is it an Xbox Original for 360?
Original.

Erm, is this really worth a flame war? So there are finally going to be a few more PS3 exclusives, well I don't see microsoft published things coming onto PS3, so why would you expect the opposite to happen? Don't cry about it, you'll probably get some more exclusive DLC stuff before long anyway.

Seriously, it feels like the Xbox 360 is getting left behind in the exclusives department. Whereas the PS3 is having a field day with titles like "God of War III", "inFamous" and "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves". The last big Xbox 360 exclusives were "Gears of War 2" and "Fable 2" and that was last year! I'm sure there have been some Xbox exclusives I may have overlooked, but that's probably because they weren't significant. Right now I kinda wish I'd bought a PS3 instead of my 360. Hopefully the new Halo: ODST will make up for the relatively small lineup us Xbox owners have been left with this year.
Let me guess you own a 360
and you don't own a PS3 and your kinda annoyed that PS3 is getting a whole bunch of exclusives making it a strong console while the 360 is their only getting multiplatform

right ?

well as a owner of both consoles just chill the 360 is just on vacation you'll get what you want in due time

I'm not saying that Crysis and Diablo III are not good games, but does the pc really need another fps or another top down rpg.

I'm sorry, you were expecting what exactly? Sony asembled a group of some of the most talented people in the industry, and has forged a number of close ties throughout their history. The PC has no major party actively looking out for it.
not expecting anything, just pointing out that the pc is getting a lot of what it doesn't need like more copycat fps's and mmo's.

and news regarding their new engine that's supposed to work on consoles also.
Bad new for PC gamers.

The notion of 'Exclusives' is one that pisses me off muchly.

I can understand a 'technical' Exclusive (ie: where the other machine just won't cut it), and I accept the notion of 'brand' Exclusives (if Sony make it, why would they give it to the opposition?), but where Microsoft pissed me off the most is how they bought out the likes of the Fallout 3 DLC.

Is there any technical reason the DLC can't be on the PS3? No. The PS3 seems to actually run a superior version of Fallout 3 (based on the untold thousands of bug reports that litter the internet). Therefore, the DLC should be available on the PS3.

Is there any 'brand' reason? No. Fallout 3 is on the PS3. Therefore, it is multiplatform and the DLC should be available.

So, we're left with Microsoft playing the Arsehole and hogging it. That doesn't make me want a 360, it makes me want to see Microsoft crash and burn as punishment for their arrogant ways.
Oh, and to keep the Fanboys happy, I'm sure that there's probably a multi-platform game where the PS3 gets exclusive content and the 360 doesn't... it's just that I don't actually care enough to go through and find them, so I've plucked the most obvious example I know of out of the air (GTA4 as well, but I consider that game so shit that you'd have to pay me to get me to download it).

I don't particularly feel that consoles shouldn't have exclusives, but I feel they should be exclusive for the right reasons. If the crew who make the Uncharted games say the 360 can't run their titles, fine. If they're owned by Sony, fine. Hell, if they think Microsoft are a bunch of evil little shits, then good on them for taking the high road and turning down the cash in favour of integrity.

But hogging a game just for the sake of not letting the other guy have it? Bad form...

So, they're developing for consoles. Doesn't mean Crysis will be ported. In fact, the first article says it definitely won't be because it was designed for PC.

Yes we are all looking forward to another uncharted game....
What is so wrong with Uncharted? I get that some consider it mediocre, but why does everything have to be some pinnacle of gaming achievement? We can't just have a mediocre game that's...I don't know...fun?
Hey if thats your opinion fair enough.
I was more asking for a "why" to add to your opinion. It wasn't entirely rage, it was an actual question. So, what is wrong with it?

As in you can download it? If not I'll just buy it off of Gamestop.
I think you can download CT, not sure about the original.

I feel as though you have things backwards, I believe that the 360 gets all of the good exclusives like gears 2 and dead rising.
