Because it's good and it kicks the shit out of Captain Planet. Seriously, if you enjoyed the Powerpuff Girls or Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, you'll probably like this show too.

Foster's was McCracken's black sheep in my opinion and the Powerpuff Girls I wouldn't exactly call girly. This, however, has always had a specific demographic in mind.

I do hope you know which that is.

Yup my avatar is from My little Pony. While some people above me had posted good valid reason about the show (Surely Not G. Ivingname could you watch maybe one more?) this is all I have to say left.

Well ok Seth Green went to Hasbro to discuss with them making a apocalypse Pony. I mean come on Seth Green is posing a photo next to Pinkie Pie, what more else to argue to NOT to watch it?

I thought Johnny the Homicidal Maniac was overblown and shite. Real entertainment, if there is such a thing, is watching what you enjoy for your own pleasure. You don't like it; fine, suits me, but if you'll pardon the pun, get off your high horse.

A strange trend I been noticing is a large amount of Avatar's from the New My Little Pony series. All I know about the new series is that the animation looks like the animation from "Panty and Stocking" (view that information however you wish). I heard at least one "the show is surprisingly good" and some of the avatar's I have seen are being used ironically (got a chuckle out of who ever had the "Resistance is Futile" avatar) but most of them are used pretty much with a straight face. I have not watched the show (nor do I even know what channel or when it on) so it might have a good deal of hidden adult humor ala Animaniacs, but the target audience of my little pony's has always been the complete opposite then the general people that come to the escapist.

So, those that have the avatars, can you explain to me why you have chosen it, and to those that have not can you provide speculation?

i was merely commenting on how the lore phrasing they used was over used to the point that it IS suicide inducing. (for the record, suicide is THE most selfish act on the planet and it was only used through sarcasm to explain my feelings of the moronic titles they used). i meab, come on dude. To be honest I had the same view on it, now I'm more active on ponychan than any other site.

Also I know it has a page on KYM, it's where I got most of my reaction faces and avatar but it's still as much a meme as any other fandoms.

I don't care if My Little Pony was originally aimed at girls and neither should you. It's a good show that's pretty well written and funny. Lauren Faust said herself that she created show with the intent to make it enjoyable for kids and adults. I don't see why the fact that I have a penis should mean I shouldn't be able to enjoy it. Just watch an episode or two and see if you like. If you do, great and if you don't, that's fine too. Just don't keep yourself from doing something just because it's considered "girly." You can end up missing out on something you'd genuinely like.
