I dont rage quit because im not a winey little *****. It somebody is using one the the "noob" setups in mw2 il just switch to my acr w/grenade launcher, rpgs, and danger close. I also have control over my emotions and dont start crying over something that happens in a video game.
you do realise that mw2 multi is based entirely on "noob setups", and that if you think mastering the art of run and gun will somehow transfer into skill on any other fps, i would advise you to think again.

MW2=mainstream. Mainstream=pants on head retarded.
PS. thats my offensive rant for the week. (next week will be the pope. whats up with his hat?)
If you think ANY and I mean ANY fps is either harder or easier then mw2 then you are sorely mistaken. They are all very very easy with loots of noob tactics/setups. Getting skill in any fps will increase your skill in any other fps it doenst matter if its a battlefield/halo/call of duty game or whatever because they all play exactly the fucking same. I think you need to get off your high horse cause you seem to think whatever fps you play is far above the others.
*Ahem* My good sir, find yourself a Copy of Unreal tournament and then get back to me, cus compairedly? MW2 sucks fat juicy balls.

As for me? I ragequit when I have a full Team of pants on head retarted fighting team-mates, who then bring MY TEAMS SCORE down and causes me to loose to inferior players.

I permanently rage quit fps games about two years ago. I did it for two reasons: I didn't have all the time in the world to become an expert and I don't think all the time in the world would have helped. It just seemed like so many people played so much that I didn't come close to competing.

I just finished the Red Dead single player. I wonder what my chances would be in the multiplayer? The games only been out for a few weeks so it shouldn't be that bad, right? Surely there aren't people who have been playing it night and day.

Who am I kidding, right now someone is peeing in a bucket next to their couch because they can't step away from the game for five minutes to use a toilet.

Never! Unless I lose a save file for some reason. That's just demoralising.

i had a lot of stuff typed up in response to that, but i somehow exited the page.
So I'll leave you with these things to mull over:
1. Mind the language, theres no need to resort to profanity if you can present a coherent argument.
2. noobs will most frequenly choose MW or halo type FPS games because is the game all their friends have, this is why they are called mainstream, and they are often dumbed down so noobs arent overwhelmed.
3. BFBC2 plays DRASTICALLY differently from MW2, if you disagree i cant believe you are well versed in this.
4. If you don't see a considerable difference in the Noob/nerd ratio between mainstream games such as MW2 and the marginally less mainstream games like BFBC2 then my first thought is that you are playing on an Xbox no? causual gamers (noobs) dont want to sink lot's of money into their platform, and the 360 is the cheapest option. This is also the reason you will find the most Hardcore players on pc.
5. run and gun won't get you very far in BFBC2, as it requires teamwork. This is part of the reason that people who consider themselves "pro" from their expieriences on MW, halo, and their love children, are then completely bewildered by BF. Another such cause of bewilderment is their lack of understanding as to what a Vehicle does.

Done.

Ohh yes and one last thing, ragequit is in full swing when you play CS:S or ANY COD game and ABSOLUTLY EVERYBODY knows EXACTLY how to throw grenades to land RIGHT IN THE SPAWN!!! Thats some dedication I'll admit, doesn't make me hate it any less.

I don't know if it counts as ragequitting, but if the other team is of a ridiculously higher skill than me I'll either play out the match and then leave or leave at once. Also if the lag is unbearable.

I pretty much never rage quit under any circumstances, save one. Playing against hackers. Now, I'm not talking about the occasional wall hacker or something. I like playing against the small time hackers because it's fun to beat them even with their advantage. No, I'm talking about the blatant hackers that are using a plethora of hacks that turn them into one-man-armies. That shit bugs the hell out of me. And, if there's no way to reasonably remove the little prick, that's when I quit.

I dont ever rage quit, not even when i'm getting fucked up the bum in every which way possible.

I mean its pointless and you lose the little stats you were getting. Sure you might only get 10 kills but those ten kills matter when you are trying to get new weapons or unlock new things.

That and rage quitters tend to fuck over their teammates and its just so immature. It's a game. Just play it.

Dual wielded shotgun runners in CoD.
People knifing me in CoD even though I am pumping gallons of bullets into their torso.
People dumb firing rockets at me in CoD.
Playing CoD in general.

Most other games I usually rage when I am playing after about 9PM or have not eaten in awhile.

When I play against tea baggers, I wish I could rip out their balls in real life and put them in tea and make them drink it the fuckers.
...ew.

For me it's when I start to suck personally, because I rage at myself.
OTHER people don't make me rage quit so much as I make myself quit.

typically i only rage quit when i'm pissed off before i even start the game...

or trash talk over l4d, when the only people who buy the first one anymore are kids who don't have enough to spring for the "better" second one..

If I'm getting angry, it means the game isn't doing its job right. This might be the fault of the other players, or of some problem with the game design, but either way I play games to have fun. If it stops being fun, I am done. Not that simply losing is enough to make a good game stop being fun.

Often times, I quit because of other players. I mostly only play Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 online these days, but anytime I start getting abuse on these games it stops being fun. Being figuratively prodded for some bad luck or poor aim isn't so bad; tell me what I did wrong, and maybe how to improve it, and you can laugh away. But it's the players who just sling abuse and vitriol across the chat that do my nut. I see no point in playing in games like that. I'll either finish the round and quit, if it's not too bad, or just say, "Fuck it" and quit because those types of players don't understand the concepts of teamwork anyway.

I only rangequit when i play in or against an unfair opponent. Noob tubers, Commando runners, hackers, nuke boosters, pros in noob games, when people rant on my (low) skill level. etc etc.
I also have a low patience and when things aren't going my way

I play many genres of games but there is only one genre where I would ragequit games: FPS games.

Not sure why but when I play shooters my I just tend to rage more. Like in BC2 I ragequit servers whenever theres a bushwookie clusterfuck in the back while attacking on rush, when the knife/C4 repeatedly doesn't work again, when the server is full of camping noobtubers, ...

Only in extreme circumstances do I rage quit.
In fact the last time I rage quitted was when I was playing Gears 2 three days ago. It was Guardian and two things happened.
1) For some reason, my game does not register the melee button very well so I just get right up in their face and they blow me to bits with the shotgun because Marcus won't smack them with the BUTT OF THE SHOTGUN!!! Sorry I yelled a bit there.

2) When it does register the melee button, I smack them but they are somehow able to shoot before I do which is bullshit. On top of that, the shotgun has become grossly underpowered...espeacially for me since I have to be point-blank range to kill someone with it while everyone else can blow me to bits from 5 yards away.

I used to love the shotgun in Gears 1 but now I hate it. Whenever I pick up a weapon, I get rid of the shotgun just to get something more potent...I also get rid of the shotgun in SP, it's worthless. In Gears 3, they better bring back the Gears 1 shotgun along with the Gears 1 sound effect because it just sounds retarded now. If they don't there's going to be hell to pay. I sold the game that day because the MP had been modified so much that it became broken...well broken-er; it was broken from day 1 with that F***ing retared "you can't quit the match and if you do you loose XP" crap.
You are missing out, Title Update 6 really took away all your frustations. Tough luck.
No, all this happened after I downloaded title update 6...soooooo, it's still broken.

The only times I can think of when I do is if I'm playing an RPG and I'm trying to do something like beat a post game dungeon that takes 5 hours, with no saves. I only rage quit if i get close to, or all the way to the final boss, and lose because they have some overpowered attack that just kills everyone almost right away.
