Why is Male gayness "worse" than Female Gayness

Because a lot of media panders to straight males and they think lesbians are hot while gay men are gross and possibly intimidating. Maybe I'm oversimplifying it, but that strikes me as the obvious answer.

I'm gonna throw it out there that the bible says something like 'a man should not lie with a man as he lies with a woman', but as far as I know it says nothing about a woman not being allowed to sleep with chicks

Generally speaking the bible says very little about women other than mention that they are filthy beasts that are at the root of most of humanities ills.

I'm shocked that Judas wasn't portrayed as a woman frankly.

(I am speaking more from the old testament than the new, and of course from the only faith I've read from).

I'm sure if the writers had fathomed that women might want anything more than to worship their husbands they'd have had a special verse about how cunnilingus leads to decapitation by time traveling ninja.

A) I am aware what sodomy means, I made no claim about whether or not homosexuals engage in it or not, I simply stated that major religions tended to be all uppity about it.

B) I'm sorry if I gave the impression that Hinduism wasn't a major religion, I did not state this and I did not mean to offend you. My numbers arent exact but from the internet sources I looked over they all tend to give Christianity around 30% and Islam around 20% of the world populations, which I felt was enough to constitute "major" religions.

I also have little knowledge on Hinduism which is why I made no claims about whether or not it was a major religion or whether or not they allowed for anal sex.

As a Lesbian myself, I hold no ill will towards gay people, but recently I've been noticing that in most media, It is more acceptable for a woman to be gay that it is for a man. For example the possible relationship in Mass Effect (No I love those games. I'm not criticizing them). Can anyone think of a reason this might be =/ ? knowing myself this is probably something that everyone noticed ages ago lol.

It's not. Neither is disgusting.
People are just ignorant, intolerant, and uninformed.
Actually I usually confront homophobia or discrimination of any sort, and I've found often if people take a close look at what their actually SAYING they think, their thinking has to change because of its apparent foolishness.

I believe it's all sorts of factors. Our upbringing, Religion, and society in general. Men don't want to admit they might be bi or homo simply because of the implications of said admission. Ask a typical man to reveal his porn stash to you, then ask a typical female to do the same. Most of the time the man will not only have a larger stash, but in some cases will have a much wider variety of stuff. Just look around sometime at your local drug store at all the available porn and try to count how much gay/female magazines there are compared to the number of heterosexual male magazines.

It's less about holding women up on pedestals and more quoting decades of proven fact.

I've always wondered this. The Bible was created a couple Millennia ago, written down by humans and at best only "inspired" by the Almighty - meaning whoever originally wrote it all down probably could've taken all the creative freedoms imaginable - and yet people like you hold it up like it's the ultimate, infallible word, while simultaneously trying to amend, repeal, or just flat-out ignore laws that have been in existence for only a few decades or centuries at best.

Yeah its very true. Also, in my case (bisexual male), as soon as I came out about half of my guy friends said they were now worried I had the hots for them/was hitting on them.

Because heterosexual males consider male homosexuality repulsive, whereas (to the best of my admittedly narrow field of knowledge) heterosexual females don't consider lesbianism repulsive. If a heterosexual man realized that a homosexual was attracted to him, he would freak out. In a similar case with women, it would just be awkward.

Also, female homosexuality is FAR more common than male. This is probably because because most men won't even consider homosexuality even if they have the capacity to be a homosexual and women tend to be more open-minded.

Pretty much this. Some heterosexual guys feel the need to constantly assert themselves in the eyes of their peers so they lash out at anything that might make them seem weak. Those kinds of guys are not men. A real man is secure enough in his masculinity to not need to.

Yeah its very true. Also, in my case (bisexual male), as soon as I came out about half of my guy friends said they were now worried I had the hots for them/was hitting on them.

Oh my God, yes! Also a bi male and pretty much every male friend I told reacted with:"You're not gonna try to suck my dick now, right?" Seriously, what the fuck is up with that?
