I dont know how to say this, I am not taking the womans side, but she cant really be charged for rape, when rape is forced sex, and for a guy and a girl the guy has to be uh "willing", I think she is a fucking sick peron who should be in prison. (or shot)
But really this statuatory rape thing just sounds stupid, because people know what they are doing so you cant really say its rape. Again not defending the womans actions.
I seriously hope you aren't saying a guy can't get raped by a woman. If you are, I seriously don't understand how you could think such a thing. Bad enough that someone would have to go through that, but to hear that it shouldn't matter because of who the victim and offender are? That would be the lowest point that anyone would have to suffer.

Admittedly, when I was 13, I probably would've been idiotic enough to jump at that chance. That's the thing that worries me about people. Preying on children that can't and don't know better, and right in the home of the boy, with his sleeping parents?! Seems like she's not exactly the brightest. Women hunting boys is a bad thing, but has only recently been taken seriously.

Also, because of her age, her picture is a matter of public records, as is her real identity. Pedophiles make me sick, and I hope she gets the maximum punishment allowed under law.

I love how everyone is going "AAAARRRG RAPIST!!!". Don't forget;

You can't rape the willing.

Sure, the law calls it rape, but it was consensual. I bet that kid isn't calling it rape. He's probably calling it sex, considering it was his idea, too. She got his address somehow.

Still wrong? You bet. But is isn't like it was actual rape. Just what the judicial system decided to define rape as, this time.
I agree with you, but it's still rape seeing as minors generally don't make great decisions related to things like this. Read my previous post for a slightly more elaborate explanation on that.
@-Samurai-: THAT is precisely how I see it.

@Sennz0r: By your logic the grand majority of the population should be rotting in prison for having sex with an inebriated partner. Because if there is anyone who is less capable of making a rational decision about sex than the pubescent, it's the drunken.
But unlike the minors, the drunken can have sex legally (not counting the under-aged drinkers of course).
My point is that people aged 18 and older are capable of making rational decisions and do not need the law to prevent them from doing stupid things. If they still choose to do stupid things then that's their problem. If said stupid things happen to be illegal, that's even more their problem. With the police added to the mix.
On the other hand it has been established that minors generally do not have the capacity to make the same rational decisions as adults. That's also why parents get to determine what kind of medical care their children receive; Kids aren't equipped to handle those kinds of moral choices, and they shouldn't have to. Same goes for having sex. It's been determined minors shouldn't have it because they're generally not equipped (no pun intended), so it's illegal to have sex with a minor.

As I've said, there are exceptions to the rules, as I'm sure a fair number of us have seen extremely rational 13 year olds and extremely irrational adults, but laws exist for the majority as well as the exceptions.

You don't seem to understand. Grown men can be raped by grown women. The body's response does NOT equal consent. Beyond that, I don't care if he paid her, begged her, and just said yes. He's underage to consent, and she could only have known. Statutory rape is rape.

I don't really know about you guys, but 13-year-old-me wouldn't feel "Confused" or "Molested", as probably wouldn't a lot other male kids of that age.

He probably had a good time and let's face it, this will probably improve his social life (altho his parents might go crazy) beyond belief, overall, it's my opinion (just an opinion for those of you rushing to flame me), the kid got lucky, but she should still go to jail, even though in this case (older woman, younger male) this can turn out positive, sometimes it also doesn't, which is why this can't be ever labeled as legal, which is a good thing in the end.

First of all, she was seducing a 13 year old, how the hell is saying you are 23 any better than her actual age of 36?

Secondly, at least it sounds like this wasn't something that was forced on the kid, I mean, he did at least respond to her vids and pictures supposedly, it sounds like she didn't just overpower him.

Statutory rape occurs WHENEVER someone over 18 has sex with someone under 18, it carries a similar charge to normal rape.

Whether or not it was consensual does NOT matter in the eyes of the law when it comes to statutory rape.

I'm willing to say that statutory rape is bullshit when it comes to like, 16 year olds.

But 13? Really? He's just a little kid. There has to be some age where you are two young to decide for yourself if you want sex or not.

Oh wow. Even if you can't remember yourself as 13, I can. What if he asked her? Begged her even? She's still a selfish monster?
YES.
She should know better. ESPECIALLY as a mother of 3.
I can't believe I'm asking this, but how is doing something someone else wants selfish?
In the same way, giving drugs to kids because they think it's candy for shits and giggles is selfish.

Pretty sure we alread had a thread about this, but might be mistaken.

Also: still wrong, still not funny, still not "awesome for the dude".
your obviously not a 13 year old boy are you?

On topic: I know it's doublestanderd, but is really that wrong, i mean that 13 year old boy wanted sex and she is not a bad looker herself. And i mean what 13 year old dosen't have sex with an older semi attractive woman, i mean honestly she did him a favor. I mean i trying to say i don't think she's quite the monster you make her out to be

Personally, i think if the kid agreed to it, why not?

But if she raped him, she´s a seriously sick dude. Like, Hitler sick.
But again, if the kid agreed...
It's statutory rape. He's not mature enough to make that decision and understand the ramifications. Doesn't matter if he thought it was a great idea or not - it's too easy for an adult to manipulate a child.
Its pretty easy for adults to manipulate adults, let alone children. That said, if he's not of the age of majority, then whether this thing is okay or not becomes a decision of the child's parents. I can't think of any parent in their right mind who would allow such a thing in this day and age. But, even as I say (write) that, I cant help but think to myself "a lot of parents just aren't in the right mind."

I think this happening went and downgraded my faith in humanity again.

I don't give a shit if Japan's age of consent is 2... she's a selfish monster. She needs serious help.
For a Red Guard, you sure can get pretty angry in an INTERNET disagreement.

As for the thread, I honestly don't know how I feel about the situation, there's many moral and legal points to be put around this issue that I'm not going to allow either logic nor emotion to cloud my judgement. Though I must admit the discussion part of this thread is funny as hell with all the bickering, instead of people understanding other viewpoints on issues, and suddenly claim their side is the correct side over another by some simple facts.

EDIT: I resent my earlier remarks and apologize to Baby Tea for my inappropriate comment, though I will not cover up this post as it would be unfair to Baby Tea for me to do so and then hide it from the public, as whatever I say I believe should be able for all to hear and judge accordingly on me for so.
