Would you cut off a limb to save a stranger?

I wouldn't even cut off a limb for most people I know, let alone a stranger.

I love how people avoid the question by turning it into a mini D&D and just kill the bad guy...

True, you can't do that. The bad guy is behind some sort of bullet proof glass or something, you can't just kill him.

And he will let you and the other guy go if you cut off your limb, and he'll let just you go if you choose to not cut off your limb, with the knowledge that you played some part in a person's death.

My limb is too important for a stranger, heck even for myself I'd need time to decide. If its my partner or child..... well that'd be a different matter.

No. I'd be hesitant to remove a limb for myself. I'd do it for my sister. But definitely not to save a stranger. I'm not exactly a selfless person.
