Would you/do you play a war game where your country is 'the bad guys'?

I always thought it would be jolly interesting to play a WW2 gfame from the perspective of the germans/japanese, see what motivated them and so on so forth

A game where Australians are the evil Bastards would be awesome. We could have the Fuhrer Mel Gibson as our leader and he could wear his mad max outfit except he would have a hitler Stash as well. Also I would want the Protagonists not to be American. Have some random from Antarctica be the hero.
Well, i'm kind of wanting something better than that, a game which takes a more realistic approach to war. In that there is no "bad guy" side, and no "good guy" side.
There are just people, who do bad things but also good things, sometimes one after the other.
Humans are emotional and complicated creatures and in such a heightened emotion filled thing as war this comes to the fore.
I'd like games to reflect that a bit more, I mean, this "good guy" and "bad guy" stuff is very immature and untrue.

OT: I'd love to play as the attackers in Homefront (yeah for those games you'll forget about but always fit into a comment) or maybe a WWIII where the Axis powers invade the allied countries (UK, US, Russia). There would be three campaigns: Axis, Allies, and Switzerland. You don't fight in Switzerland. It's more like a harvest moon
I also liked playing as the bad guys, and it would be more emotional to blow up somewhere I've been than to destroy "generic national monument from place I'll never go"
Certainly. It's only a game, and I'm not much of a patriot to begin with. I actually really enjoyed the Panzer Elite campaign in Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, when you're in charge of the German forces fighting against the British during Operation Market Garden. It was good fun.
Well, I'm American. We're usually the good guys, but often the writers subtly convey that we're all pricks and morons. So, sort of.
