Depends on what caused the riot, if it was just a needless display of aggression I would get the hell out of there. But if it was inspired by a civil rights issue or something of the like I would gladly get the shit beaten out of me, all the while shouting "FOR GREAT JUSTICE!!!"

No. I've been to a few protests where theres a police presence in full riot gear- and some of those guys look like crazy motherfuckers just waiting for ANYTHING resembling a disturbance to go crazy on people, going apeshit with one arm and arresting with the other.

So getting a beating for most likely doing nothing by some high-strung cop... fuck that.

i'd either join in or sit and watch. i once saw a massive fight in my street which involved about 30 chavs and 2 families. sometimes if you just sit back nd do nothing good stuff comes by.
