OT: I'd probably do a conglomerate of previously mentioned topics in a way that doesn't make me seem like an unjust Overmod. I would make a rule that (and I might catch hell for this) all forum mods must give warnings before locking down threads. I haven't really encountered mod issues on the Escapist, but some of the Rooster Teeth forum mods are dicks. Escapist mods will at least tell me what rule I broke or came close to violating. RT mods will lock one of my threads just because they don't like my avatar.
I would also allow for unlocking of previously locked threads by petition. But if your thread becomes relocked, too bad.
