I know right? The companions got in the way at best, and with all the ass kicking you do who's got time to bother with a spouse?hazabaza1 said:People married people in Skyrim?
People used companions in Skyrim?
Well this is certainly news to me.

Theres another bug that shows up if you have had a follower die before a wedding, the game auto invites "friends" and people you have completed quests for. It can drag the followers corpse to the wedding and then everybody gets upset about it and blames your char.MissP said:I married that one Nord guy at the mage's college...whatshisname. Oh, "Onmund."
He walked out of the chapel before the wedding ceremony was even over, and then I never saw him again. He wasn't at the college or any of my properties. Maybe he had second thoughts about marrying a Khajiit, but I'm guessing he got eaten by a bear or something on the way home.
I'm VERY broken up about it.
Exactly. I chose to marry Aela. She is a true bad ass companion/wife.Macgyvercas said:If you marry anyone other than Aela the Huntress, you made the wrong choice.
Thats totally how it was built to be, exactly your playstyle is the correct method of playing skyrim and everyone else is wrong.Yarkaz said:I've had four skyrim characters, never had any of them get married. I absolutely hate games with tacked-on marriage systems that don't really change anything in the game. I remember being really ticked off when all I had to do to get a wife in Fable was run her around town for ten minutes and time a couple button presses right so I didn't kiss her the wrong way or whatever.
And Skyrim's... Well, it's even worse than that. Do a quick quest, wear a special amulet, bam. The character's dialog barely even changes, from what I've heard. Not only does it seem pointless, but the complete lack of change in the game because of it would break immersion for me, a lot. I'd rather keep my characters as single guys, roaming around Skyrim taking on whatever adventure befalls him with no worries or obligations to stop him.
Since, you know, that's kind of what skyrim was built to be.
Just my perverted mind speaking, but I also imagine she'd be dynamite in the sack as well.Nowhere Man said:Ah Ysolda. Always catching me mid sprint on the way to Dragonsreach. I was referring to the shallow marriage system, that's all. No need to take a potshot at my observations.Jayemsal said:Thats totally how it was built to be, exactly your playstyle is the correct method of playing skyrim and everyone else is wrong.Yarkaz said:I've had four skyrim characters, never had any of them get married. But it allows for evil behaviors! Such as marrying and then sending them flying off a cliff! That's what I did with every single companion. Went up to High Hrothgar Courtyard and sent them flying off.Daystar Clarion said:Thishazabaza1 said:People married people in Skyrim?

Marriage is Skyrim is just so poorly thought out and tacked on, and I never use companions because they just get in the way![]()
