He's right. You won't find them here. You might not be looking hard enough.
In all the time I've been here, I've only met one Disneytard.

She made horrible arguments.

"U guyz r just jaelous of them."

Jealous of fruity teens that attract hordes of young girls? *****, please, I'm more jealous of Boomers.

I liked Twilight.
But I'm a vampire buff in general, so what's another movie? :p
True Blood and the Underworld Trilogy suits my fancy better though.
..And lets not forget Angel, god that show was awesome..
How do you feel about Darren Shan's interpretation of them?

Also, the Underworld trilogy is probably my favorite interpretation of vamps in terms of badassery.
Agreed in Underworld. The only thing I didn't like about, say, the first movie, was how the romance just sorta' happened, they stared and made out, and there wasn't much build up. But, at least that means it was never supposed to be put forth (the romance), which is good, because we really need to tone down the relation between vampires and romance.

Unless you count the charismatic Bela Lugosi, as Bram Stoker's Dracula. Him pulling romance is a ploy, so it's awesome, because he just tricks them.

Twilight is just a passing fad. It's on the same level as Harry Potter. This is what happens when people neglect reading, they turn to shitty books like twilight. Hopefully they're will only be a couple movies before the fad dies, if we're lucky. If not, then we have to deal with the whole series.

The Escapist is not an accurate representation of the world. We are a very specific group of people who share a common trait, video games(typically).

These people do exist. Have you ever been in an American Junior High School and seen that group of girls that is solely a group of girls who just circle around and giggle about stupid shit. In that group of girls you are bound to find people who love Twilight, Miley, and the JB. I wouldn't seek these people out though, it's good to hold on to your sanity as long as possible.

How many 8-14 year old girls do you know? Not a lot I'm guessing. As for twilight, that more general teen age fangirls and some regular women who don't talk about it unless it's brought up by someone. Your circle and the fangirls circle don't overlap much.

Fun Fact: Twilight is a romance novel about a group of beautiful misunderstood people.

Remember that ugly nerd from Yahtzees review who wore a "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful" tee-shirt? That's the kind of people we're dealing with. People who feel SO 'misunderstood' and want a relationship.

Stephenie Meyer is a genius not because of her writing skills, but because she understands physiology of her targeted demographic at such a deep level. We salute you, your henchman, and you sentient doom fortress computer Stephenie Meyers.

I do not see why people are still getting so worked up over what 'tween' girls like. They're tween girls. They will grow out of it. Give them time. The only reason to get worked up over things like this is because you secretly ike it yourself and feel ashamed, and therefore feel you have to be loud about not liking it to makue sure everyone knows how cool and tough and mature you are. ;-P

We are merely another demographic entirely. One that despises the other demographics.

Well, we're the elite (if some people were to be believed), obviously we don't like anything mainstream or popular.

Well, hate them as much as you like, but trolling them is supereasy mode.

Leave one derogatory comment on any video pertaining to the "phenomenons" mentioned in the OP, and you'll have an inbox full of indignant preteens calling you names that their mothers would disown them for.

Well, alot of people in my class spend the majority of their time at lunch discussing how 'hot' it would be to get it on with a old dead perv from the twilight books and i'm pretty sure they're planning on electing the ***** who wrote the books as their 'leader'. What saddens me the most, is that they are 16. No longer bound to the Tween catagory, yet still getting home to watch JONAS. That pretty much epitimizes my disappointment.
I'm more sorry for you boys, thanks to the spectacular fail that is the twilight protagonists of misunderstood, gorgeous vampires, your chances of living up to Edward standards are pretty slim.
Anyway more on topic, I doubt that hardcore twilight fans or disneytards would be around The Escapist site.

hate to break it to you but the twilight fan base is generally in the 17 to 24 demographic far from being tweens, but for the Disney ones yeah I have no doubt that they'll grow out of it.

Are you sure these Twilight fans are human?
Silly Jed, they're clearly all vampires.

That's why you only see them at night.

But you know what annoys me? ever since twilight, there's been a sudden influx of crappy teen vampire novels. I stepped into waterstones, and stepped right back out again after seeing a shelve full of twilight rip offs.

Is that what it's come to? a rip off of a rip off?
