Hmm....

Seeing 'tortuga' for the first time in Sauerbraten.
Seeing the first colossus in Shadow of the Colossus... obvious choice.
Yeh, the Jak 2 intro.
The final boss of Jak 3, now that I think about it.
Can I say 90% of Ergo Proxy even though it's an anime?
Getting into a Scavenger in UT3 for the first time.
Seeing the inside of the Parliament of Bugs in Tamriel Rebuilt (morrowind mod)
Breaking my first building in Red Faction: Guerrilla.
All of Zeno Clash. ^^
Flying around at random angles off walls in Aliens vs. Predator 2.

...yeah, Zeno Clash is probably the big one. Go play that game if you haven't already, it's incredible ^^

Probably realizing how truly hard Super Meat Boy is after playing the tutorial levels at first it was like "I don't get what all the hype is about i mean it's not that hard' Then later "Arrrgh c'mon you little son of a B***h, what I totally made that jump Haxxxx HAXXXXXX"
Oh yeah...

>Jumper 1 and 2.
Play through those, then tell me Super Meat Boy is hard. Go on.
Also, Super Meat Boy's a straight-up rip-off of Jumper anyway :/

Actually, if anyone has any games they can reccomend that will ensure "Holy crap" moments, please share them. Preferably free ones too ^^

The one that springs to mind is.....

Going into Red Dead Redemptions Undead Nightmare DLC expecting just zombies, and instead finding a flaming horse of the apocalypse.

I can't really decide which is my biggest, but a recent "HOLY SHIT!" moment was in Marvel vs Capcom 3 when Super-Skrull said "He loves me" right before his Nova Flame hyper-combo. Anyone who's read Secret Invasion knows where that's from.

Mass Effect 2: The intro. Stepping out into the silent void.
I was too busy crying at the loss of my poor ship to think "holy crap."

OT: Most of my "Holy Crap" moments are from Ace Combat 5... Especially when you have to shoot down the Solg.
Then there's also the fight over the stadium in November City. Anyone who's played the game should know that...

My experience with Sons of Liberty was one giant extended a WTF moment, mostly because I didn't understand a fucking thing that happened.

And Alan Wake had me going "WTF" in a good way, since the visuals were absolutely stunning.

I'm fairly certain about my most "Holy Crap" moment in Gaming, and I'm going to have to give it to something I will name the "Noontech Machine" from Dead Space 2. It effectively killed any will I had of beating the game more than once, hell, I still -shudder- when I mentally picture that moment, I just can't find myself to replay the entire game just because of it. It was purely the tension it caused that made me more so impacted by it. The game was amazing though, even if I'm too much of a coward to face that scene again._.

Hmmm, well, the one that comes to my mind at the moment...is Cubia, when I first saw him.

Cubia, as in from the first .hack game. Here I am, thinking that I've achieved some sort of victory when...oh crap...it's just the tip of the iceberg. One massive landscape-explosion later, there's a GIANT FLYING MONSTER over my head, a massive horror that makes Skeith look like a toy by comparison. Oh...shit. I start saying things like "Ah hell, I don't have to fight that do I?". The answer is no. Cubia blasts the entire terrain and there's my Twin Blade killed in one strike, lucky to not be in a coma. To top it off, it's the end of the game, which means that when I buy the next part, that guy will be waiting for me...

BIGGEST?

Hm. Tough... tough...

I dunno. I guess I'm really... sorta... immune to that super feeling now. At least... more resistant to it. Way back when I wasn't expecting things like that, the 'holy crap' moments were awesome.

I'll have to say... fighting Dark Tooth in Twisted Metal 2. I was really young back then and each mini battle was a huge victory for me. I killed everyone on the last stage... only to have the 'approaching challenger' message show up. I hear a clown laugh off in the distance and then see a huge truck about 6x larger than anything in the game drift around the corner. My heart dropped and I fled. I ran from that thing for about 5 minutes until I realized I had to turn and face that monster. Every time I looked behind me, that huge monster with the flaming clown head was staring right at me, getting closer every second.

The initial sight of the largest boss I'd ever seen up to that point, ever, is my biggest 'holy crap' moment.

Bioshock: Nuff said.

Modern Warfare 2: Attacking the white house with that epic score playing in the background. Absolutely amazing.

Dead space 2: Launching yourself from a solar array into a city full of necro's with a pure concentrated beam of sunlight to your right is pretty awesome, but then dodging what looks like an entire apartment block by flying through a corridor in it is worth a holy crap. That and:

The eye needle section after realising I had to do it. Thankfully I didn't balls it up, as I know how over the top the death scenes are in this game.

Left 4 dead: Hordes, Tanks and the finale for dead carnival.

Doom II: No Rest for the Living.
Last level.
"Hmm... don't see any enemies around. Hey! Cool! Another Plasma Rifle. Oh boy, look at all these boxes of rockets! Oh, an elevator. Well, I'll just go down an- OH DEAR GOD."
Also, Silent Hill 2's ending.
IT'S NEVER ANY LESS AMAZING.

Oh, and another popular one, failing the Dead Space 2 Eye Machine.

I'd say when I saw Bowser for the first time in Mario64 as a kid. I mean I had defeated giant Bombs and Penguins and sh*t but a big badass DRAGON!! of course I kicked the living hell out him after my first 10 minutes of run around dodging ^^
