When Revan takes off her mask in KoTOR, that was a whoa! holy shit moment.

Also when you confront Baan Teegan in Dragon Age, having him as a relatable patriotic character just sucked all the cliched good vs evil out of the scenario, it just completely changed how i felt about him.

Oh and when i collected every item in Titanic Adventure out of time, but the pearl necklace.

so excited that i had saved the world, prevented hiter's rise, stoped the russian revolution, and saved the Rubayat. Then i get back and find out that the necklace funded the black hand, and led to the Rise of fascism over Europe

Some of the headshots you can pull off in VATs make my jaw drop. Quite recently I had the modded .44 Magnum, my personal weapon of choice, and I was killing Fiends because I don't like them. One runs up to me, so I hit RB. Aim one bullet for the head, cause that's all it should take.

The sequence starts with a close up of my Power Armour-clad courier raising her Magnum and cocking her head. From there, a close up of the bullet flying slow-mo through the air. It finds its target and a noise which can be best described as 'sploosh' marks the explosion of the raider's head. As chunks of brain and skull fly in a gory nova away from the stump, the rest of the body - simply overtaken by the force of the shot from such a short range - performs a perfect 360 backkflip, landing on the feet and everything. The body then collapses forwards into the pile of head goo. I paused the game to revel in how well it all went together.

Also, the Revan twist in KotOR I did NOT see coming at all. It came right out of nowhere for me.

The only one that comes to mind right now is in COD MW1, when the helicopter crashed down in the sniper stealth mission. I shot it and though it would explode mid-air or something and went to check something. And then i look up again, and just start running. It really made my heart racing.... Mass Effect 1/2 had it's moments, too.

Would you kindly?
I'd had that sentence's meaning spoiled by an over-entusiastic friend but the rest of that scene still made my jaw drop to the floor. And even before that, seeing Ryan's board of connections and the puppy audio diary... I couldn't stop shivering.
And it's to the point that I flinch whenever I hear anyone say those words now.

As for bad "HOLY CRAP", whoever mentioned Regenerators jumping 10ft without arms or legs in RE4... The first time it did that, I shrieked. Scared my brother, too.

I've had quite a few WTF moments over the years.

*POTENTIAL SPOILERS*

Psycho Mantis in Metal Gear Solid.
Agro being dropped off that bridge in Shadow of the Colossus.
Psychonauts and the brain harvesting dentist.
"Would you kindly ..."
Finding out that the player's character in KOTOR was actually Revan.
Playing as Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2.

The least WTF moment ever has to be finding out that Iriquois Plissken in Metal Gear Solid 2 was actually Snake =\

Hallway, windows, dogs.
Pause and go change shorts.
amen to that.

hmmm, the epic final battle in ME 1 was like "DAMNNN"

and when I discovered the ancient devices on Mars in Dark Colony (really old game), also when I learned how to deploy turrets and mines in it, man the 90s was the best PC game period for me :)

finding the BFG in quake 2 for the first time.

firing a nuke in Shadow warrior.

firing the ion canon in C&C gold for the first time.

finding out that dragon age has "diverse" romance options (yes I rarely read reviews cause I like surprises) I was like wow, Bioware are gonna get a witch hunt on their behind :( poor Bioware.

discovering what the tome of power does in Hexen2

sooooo many "H****S****" moments, won't bore you with more.

I think I gotta say first time out of the sewer in Oblivion, or opening sequence in Mass Effect 2. (I heard there was spoilers in the trailer, so I didnt watch it, so it was really my first time. Epic.)

Exiting vault in Fallout is epic too, but I played Olivion first, so yeah.
YES YES YES!! The opening sequence in Mass Effect 2 was fantastic. My favorite in recent memory.
