STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl
Definitely and especially with the Complete mod.

STALKER: Call of Pripyat
Dunno yet.

DoW 2: Chaos Rising
I guess so, haven't played it too much yet either. But I did like the original DoW 2

Halo: Reach - I will be playing this game for years to come.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat - The best iteration of Stalker yet, but apparently the Russian voice actors union boycotted the game (a disappointment to me).

Civilization V: WHAT THE FUCK, SID MEIER? You took out the wonder movies, fucked up the game pacing, and didn't allow me to name my civ leader Gayfang Darlek. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?

Fallout: New Vegas. I guess it was worth it. I haven't had any bugs, but I can't bring myself to play it very often.

Tekken 6. Bought it because I didn't have an internet connection and wanted to play a fighter. I haven't played it much, but it's a solid game.

Minecraft. I play that shit every day!

Technically, my last 3 are Fallout:NV, Call of Duty: Black Ops(fully paid pre-order), and Tekken 6. But Black ops isn't out yet so I can't say wether or not it's worth it.

Dead Rising 2: Definitely worth it, played through it many times, got to level 50 in one sitting, so addictive >_>.

Red Dead Redemption: Again really worth it, multi-player was lacklustre but one of the most engaging and immersive single player experiences I've had for along time.

I actually can't think of a third one, I have had no money most of the year so has been awhile since any purchases prior to the games above >: So I'm gonna say, pre-ordered BlackOps. Worthiness to be confirmed at a later date.

in chronological order:

Final Fantasy XIII - i may be one of the only people to like it. but i'm not sure it was a great buy

Just Cause 2 - incredible. one of my top games ever made. it's everything GTA 5 needs to be (maybe without infinite parachutes and bad voice acting, i just mean in the way it doesn't take anything very seriously)

New Vegas - although it's definately worth the 37 quids i paid for it, i'm still not entirely sure if it's better than fallout 3 or not. but hugely love it nontheless

Onyx Oblivion

Borderlands Addict. Again.

Let's see.

GTA: Complete Edition $40...Considering that I loved GTA IV, buying it again for PS3 even though I own the game and expansions on 360 is a no-brainer.

Fable 3...Loved it, beat it. Moving onto other things. I'll replay it once a year or so, likely.

Disgaea 3...I don't know yet. It hasn't arrived from Amazon yet. But I got it for less than $10!

Bad Company 2 (PC)-$30-Nothing that is just MW2 with a different paint job is worth money
Blacklight Tango Down (PS3)-$15-Somewhat worth it, not great, but not bad
And those are the only things I can remember buying.

Mass Effect 2 - Yes, one of the most wonderful games I've ever played (and the first one bored me to tears)
Mass Effect also bored me out of my skull. I didn't get too far into it I was so bored. Were I to pick up Mass Effect 2, would I really be missing much not having finished part 1?
I barely scratched the surface of the first game either so I filled in my gaps in Mass Effect lore and story by browsing the wikia, and the game gives you many oppurtunites to probe characters about the overall story arc which I thought was a nice touch as well. All in all I'd say don't be put off the 2nd game by the 1st, it's a completely different (and infinitely superior IMO) animal.

Bioshock 1 -yes
Mass Effect 2- yes
Aliens vs Predator- meh, it's alright, I guess

They're all pretty good. I just wish AvP was longer.

Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep - Fun to play, though it took me a while to get used to the psp. The storyline seems very thin though, as its spread out over 3 characters. Havent actually finished it because my PSP is having memory card problems (its stuck)

FFXIV - Ive had it for about a month and just dont want to play it. Its really just repeatative. Then again that kind of thing puts me off all MMO's

Mass Effect - I ordered it yesterday, and it still hasnt been shipped. So im a bit angry at it right off the bat.

Really, if Mass Effect is any good, im going to start buying decent games rather than whatever Square Enix tosses out

Star Wars: Empire at War: i got it on sale, so its not bad for 5 bucks, still i wished i had just saved up for Empire Total War instead
Civilization V - its the best one since alpha centauri, and has restored my faith in firaxis
Fallout New Vegas - i know there has been a lot of complaints, but its more and better fallout, i like it--i think it was worth it

Starcraft 2 - Not worth it. (My computer can't run it.)

Halo Reach - It seemed to be worth it, but the past few days I've been only getting games against complete and total assholes who camp the entire game, which makes me want to light my disk on fire. So, pending?

Pre-Ordered Black Ops - Hopefully it will be worth it. I'm glad they're fixing a bunch of the balance issues from MW2, and hopefully it'll be a better game. If it's a CoD4 clone with better graphics, I'll take it, and be 100% satisfied. (For me to call this one good though, it has to at least be better than MW2.)

Well,
I bought Alan Wake and got God of War Collection (1&2) for PS3 free, I'll count that as one purchase.

Minecraft

Halo: Reach

Alan Wake & GoW Coll. - I've not played them but they cost me a total of about $50.00 so I'm happy with that, even if I only play through both of them once over the course of my life.

Minecraft - Would have payed $50.00 for it, I only payed $14.90.

Halo: Reach - I got the Legendary Edition. It was definately worth it. I'm not a Halo fan per se, but I've played all of them and beaten all but Combat Evolved and Halo Wars. That being said, I liked the look of the Figurine/Model that came with Legendary and after playing the first mission at my brothers I tracked a copy down and bought it the next day. I don't regret it for a second.

The campaign is enjoyable in both co-op and single player, the online multi-player is heaps of fun with friends, I've still got firefight and online co-op campaign left to toy with.

Forge world is not what I was expecting unfortunately, but that doesn't detract from the fact that I am more than satisfied with the game.

Going from most recent...

Dungeons and Dragons: warriors of the Sun (Genesis). $8 with the box. yes!

Sega Superstars Tennis/XBox Arcade pack: for $2.50 used? I can't say no

I can't remember the last game I purchased before that... had to be at least a half a year ago... I can barely remember.

Minecraft, New Vegas and Bioshock. Not sure if that counts, though, since it was all for other people. Three games I bought before that... two more Minecraft, and one Diablo 2. Again, neither was for me. Should probably just skip forward to what I DID buy for myself. Which would be... hm.

Shadow of the Colossus and Minecraft, those two are recent and very, very good. And, uh...

I'm not sure what else I bought. Don't know if I bought myself any other games this year, actually.
