And my parents were in the kitchen (which is where my console is), doing something.
Embarassing stuff. It took me all of three seconds to react and pause, but, you know, it still wasn't very fun.

The wierdest thing... hmmm... I guess it has to be that time in Heavy Rain where you meet Lauren for the first time. My mom walked in and thought it was a game about a fat dude buying hookers >_< I managed to convince her to stay for the duration of said scene (as I had played the demo, and hoped they hadn't changed it).

So basicly I turned it from a wierd moment to a "this actually makes sense once you see all of it" moment. However, that quickly changed later in the game when mom ONCE AGAIN walked in, this time during the scene where Maddison takes of her clothes in front of Paco in the night club. Mom didn't go away, as she thought this scene also had a reason like the previous one. When Maddison later faked orgasm-sounds so the guard doesn't interrupt the interrogation, my mom just left with an ashamed look.

Yeah...

Acting out story ideas.

When i get an idea for a story i like to act it out to see if i like they way it sounds and i tend to get into the characters im building.
Especially the voices.

It gets really weird when im trying to do a Gruff character or a Villain because i like the Voice to reflect the characters Personalty.
So sometimes it sounds like i have something stuck in my throat or im angry.

Ah, yes...my wife was in the room when that came on. Normally, she just plays for the side missions. For a second, she thought I'd switched the game out for an adult movie judging by what she heard.

OT... I've had several really close calls playing a one-man game of baseball... Sometimes my parents knock, sometimes they don't... When they don't, I've got about a 1 second window of opportunity when I hear them at the door. It's really damn difficult to close out windows and cover yourself in 1 second lol. On the other hand, I've learned some neat tricks... Always having a media player to pull up (fullscreen of course) on stand-by... *just playin music*... Always wearing shorts or sweats, something with no zipper... 1/2 second, completely covered.

Lets see... What else... I was brought home in hand cuffs, blacked out drunk once. I'd say that was more traumatizing than embarrassing though, my mom cried her eyes out :/

Dad walked in on my air-drumming to some Tool once, that was a bit awkward.. but he's rocked out in his day.

Mom walked in on me and an ex nekkid... under covers, so she didn't technically "see" anything, but she knew wtf was up lol.

I dunno. My parents were pretty chill I guess. My dad actually showed me where his pr0n stash was once, just told me "I don't care, but nobody needs to know about it".

My mum caught me smoking dope once.

I was frozen in fear, not knowing what she'd do.

She asked me for some.

That was a really strange night.

definitely jealous as all hell for that one. My parents were chill, but reefer was one thing they would NOT tolerate... I got into all sorts of shit when they found out I'd been smoking. Threatened to remove me from the baseball team, wanted me tested for all sorts of other drugs, made me see a therapist for addiction... Ya. Wasn't a pretty picture. It's different now that I'm an adult, my mom actually found a bong of mine last year, didn't really seem to care much.

This thread is epic win btw. I never usually read threads 2+ pages long, but I had a good laugh reading though all 4 pages of this one ^_^

Oh god, I'm so glad I'm not the only one that does that. Especially when I'm acting out multiple people talking to each other.

Either that, or practicing my ballet routines. It's not a bad thing if someone caught me in a studio practicing, but when you're doodling around in your living room with no music playing, mumbling the tune to yourself, failing to do a triple pirouette and then faceplanting on the tile floor... That's a little worse.

Back in the day I googled "darth maul" or something. The first picture that popped up was a picture of two guys, umm... engaging in an act of anal penetration, with the face of darth vader and some other random guy photoshopped over their faces.

In my ten year old mind, this picture was brilliant, so: "save as..."

Then, some time later, my little sister for some reason decides to use this picture as the desktop for our computer.

That was a strange conversation with my parents. I denied everything.

It just...never occured to me how stupid that was :S

Another one was when we more or less just got the Internet on dial up. I was going to use the computer for something, when this porn site was minimised. I went into the living room, got my dad and said "I don't think I'm supposed to see this" and he was a tad embarrased and all that.
