Usually large breasted women. The fact if they are 'OMG my boobs are soo big! Let's direct my entire story, jokes and lines around my breasts!'

The "I won't ever forgive you speech" often given by characters to character who don't really give a shit but still stand there why this awkward speech about how bad the are for such and such reason is spouted.

Any sort of card, battle monster, spinning top anime where they talk about how awesome the attack is then the competitor goes ha ha my attack is much cleverer than yours and totally nulifies it and they'll go back and forth with this for several episodes while their friends stand around give running commentaries about how amazing each attack is also the that whole heart of the cards/fighting spirit/connection to their power animal annoys as well, seriously how do you control anything a spinning top does after you let it go?

FRIENDSHIP SPEECHES!!! F*CKING FRIENDSHIP SPEECHES!!! That times the characters power by 10 to the power of bullshit squared so they can defeat the eater of worlds and killer of babies.

Or bad guy decay, such as Pain in Naruto "I AM PAIN STEALER OF SOULS, LORD OF DESTRUCTION! THERE CAN BE NO REAL PEACE SO I SHALL DESTROY WORLDS TO MAKE FAKE PEACE!!!"

[insert friendship/I know what you've been through speech]

"I am Pain! I believe in peace and rainbows and will sacrifice my life for rainbows"

Thats why I liked Aizen, he was evil just for the sake of being evil, nothing changed that, nothing will change that he is a bastard through and through and not just some pansy with lots of expendable income and superpowered artifacts that wasn't hugged by his daddy enough.

Oh also bullshit power levels the worst offender of this being Bleach, within a few months Ichigo went from normal kid, to shinigami, to vice-captain level shinigami, to captain-level shinigami to Vizard to stronger Vizard to WTFPWNTLEVEL9000 Hollow to God-mode.
I rather enjoy the DBZ bullshit that Kubo is doing now with Bleach. I mean, let's follow Aizen's most recent transformations:
I has crystal that loves me.
I am now a power ranger.
I now sport a mullet.
I am now a beautiful butterfly.
I am now Greed from FMA.
He went through all those in like, 4-5 chapters. Ichigo almost as many.

As for Naruto. If he could convince Pain(the guy named himself Pain for christs sake!)
that life as a morally and physically decrepit living zombie isn't bad, then maybe they should just make him give a speech to the entire Ninja world.
There, problem solved, world peace.

Regarding the whole friendship speeches thing, I have know someone who would disagree with you:

I don't know if it's a cliche but, the main charactor NOT getting a love interest despite the fact that 5+ DIFFERENT girls fall so deeply in love with him that all he'd need to do to get laid was to acknowledge the fact!
*stares at Ash from Pokemon*
...
...
AND YES, I know he's supposed to be 10 or 11 years old but a lot of the kids in that show act older than their apparent age that they might as well be 15 or 16.

I'd say filler, but that's not so much a cliche as a stalling tactic.

I'll go with trying to make lots and lots of characters. Mind, it works sometimes (Negima), but it often just makes a hard-to-track, not very interesting cast (this is part of the reason I couldn't get into Shakugan No Shana, not to mention a fundamental problem with Bleach). This applies to other mediums.

The fucking Weeaboos that attack western cartoons for the sole reason of not being anime. The ones who are willing to overlook the admittedly atrocious framerates and animation cutbacks just to rip on other animation endeavors.

Just listen to this guy, he points out a lot of technical problems in a lot of anime series.

Not to mention his attack on Weeaboos is hilarious.

Harems! IE. where seemingly ordinary high school kid protagonist is desired by every girl in his school except the one he's actually interested in.

The fans, mostly.

"The Japanese dub is always better."
No it's not. The voices are annoying, and the subtitles could be saying anything.

"Anime isn't the same as cartoons."
Yes it is. It's a Japanese cartoon.

over the top dramatic looks/speeches. The we can do anything because of friendship garbage, god I hate that so much. Typically theirs a speech along with it to. Oh and that old chesnut of yes their are 10 women after you most men would kill each other for but you stay oblivious and go after the emotionally confused angry girl who NEVER returns your feelings. It hurts my brain that one.
Watch an anime called The familiar of zero for that last one. Prime example, still a good show though just so annoying sometimes.

Indecisive male leads who are teenagers yet nothing like most guys! They're all shy, timid and find it hard to even talk to a girl and don't enjoy their marshmellow hells.

The art style. It is the same.
You haven't watched much anime, have you?
There's so many different art styles out there.

Compare 07-Ghost with something like Oofuri for example:

The difference is more apparent when you're watching them, but you get the picture.

Squeaky-Nasal-Voiced. Little Girls.
It's worse than "nails on chalkboard".
Worse than Phil Collins.

I cannot understand for the life of me why it's used so often.

EDIT: Well, if I am to believe what I've read here today, it's because most anime is cheap mass-production rubbish.

The insights into why things are made the way they are and the culture behind it is intriguing, but it won't change the fact that I find just about all of the anime I've seen or had suggested to me to be this worthless garbage made with the same lazy techniques.

It is totally possible to ruin a great story if it is told in a horrible manner.

The artificial lengthening of series with episodes that have no points. there has to be at least 3 seasons worth of dragon ball of topless muscle men screaming at eachother waiting to throw an energy ball that will be unaffected on the new most powerful being in the universe #837
The 'Dragon Ball Kai' series they're releasing right now cut out all of the filler. They get into the cell saga at like episode 60 or something.

The young ridiculously optimistic shonen hero who absolutely refuses to give up. Whatever happened to characters like Kenshiro and Jojo? ><
