On principle alone, I can see PETA's point, treat animals humanely. Don't abuse/rape/beat/drag-out-death etc. But where their argument falls apart is when they make shitty Cooking Mama clones, compare animal abuse to the Holocaust (Google it), and covertly supporting people who firebomb animal testing labs (take a look at their tax records, you'll find a few interesting names on it). And sorry to burst some peoples' bubbles, but, PETA pretty much is insane. There are other animal rights groups that are more rational and far less hypocritical (PETA calls any vet a monster if he euthanizes one dangerous/incurable animal, while PETA itself euthanizes more than 2/3 of the animals it takes in). And has anyone noticed that PETA never defends the ugly animals? You don't thing so? When was the last time you heard PETA yelling "Save the slug!", trust me, there are endangered species of slug out there. Another problem I have with PETA is that for all that they rail against using animal testing for medical research, some of PETA's head members actually rely on medicines like Insulin which were developed from animal testing. And PETA members, if you really want to stop animal testing, get off your asses, drive to your nearest laboratory, sign a waiver, and volunteer to be experimented on, you'd be saving hundreds of animals from the same tests.. after all, we would learn more about a drug/procedure if it were tested on human beings than on animals. Because animals can't tell us when something is going wrong or when it is working.
