"Errr, whatever man," Alan said, heading back to get another one. "I think we almost have enough. Probably one more," he told Jack, "And then we can all go and sing kom-baya around a campfire."

"Or point guns at each other while we sleep, whichever our group and Christie decides on." He thought for a minute.

"You mean to tell me you never heard that the scientists on the Manhattan Project thought that the atomic bomb would light the atmosphere on fire?" Jack asked somewhat playfully.

"Argh, it'll be hard to sleep tonight with Christie there," Alan replied with a groan, he pushed the last bed towards Jack, "I've heard of that story before. I laughed. And then I face palmed. Will you take this last bed? I'm going to go get Adries."

With that he walked past him and down the hall. He heard Adries crying and knocked on the door. "Hey, it's me. You wanna stay alone for a bit longer or come back? People might start asking questions," Alan asked, waiting for a response. Adries opened up the door and wiped at her eyes. "Yeah, I think I'm fine. Don't know how well I'll be able to hide it," she said with a smile, getting a hug from Alan.

"Let's go back then."

"Yeah I got it." Jack said to no one in particular. Jack moved the beds with the rest and created a simple circle out of them.

Jack looked to Christie.

"I assume you don't have anything that can generate or retain enough heat that we might all be warm tonight."

Alan and Adries got back to the main hall, both looking slightly shaken and pale. They took a seat away from Christie, making sure to not make eye contact.

"So, I hope the beds are nice. Took awhile to move them all over here," Alan said, "What should we eat? I'm sure everyone's hungry."

Hayley sat down on one of the beds furthest away from the door.
"What's there to eat in a police station?" She asked, frowning.

"You all go ahead and eat...I'm not exactly hungry. You should all get some sleep to, I'll take watch." He shouldered the ak and moved to a corner away from everyone else.

"I know that there are some snack machines in the lobby," Alan said, pointing towards the waiting area, "And I'd assume there would be normal food in the lunch area, though that might have been ransacked by now."

((Going to bed. Night, night.))

"If you require a fire, i can make one. Also don't worry about taking watch. It's part of my role to protect civilians you know?" Christie replied to the familiar man making little eye-contact instead catching the sight of Tulip and Jesse who looked like they saw a massacre, they kept their faces hidden, but it was obvious that they had been crying.
There's something upstairs. That would explain the absence. I'll slip away at the next chance and investigate.

Lisa had jumped onto one of the beds at the first moment she could and lay there.
"Anyone feel like breaking into some snack machines?"

"Sorry but I'm not exactly trusting of strangers right now. Last time I trusted someone with a gun to 'do the right thing' me and a friend each caught a bullet in the thigh for our troubles. So if you want to take watch that's fine, but we'll be sharing the watch then. Nothing personal, but I don't trust you. Don't worry about the fire, smoke may attract something." he said.

'Nothing personal my ass. If I knew there wouldn't be repercussions for it, I'd kill you now.'Jack thought.

"I'll go break some snack machines with you Lisa. I could kill for a Snickers bar," Alan said, standing up and walking with Lisa over to where the lobby was, "Hopefully they weren't all eaten. I'd be pissed if that were the case. You know how they make them? They first roast a bunch of peanuts, then create the nougat out of milk, eggs, and sugar. They then place the peanuts on top of the nougat. Then they cut them into the bars. The candy get a bottom then top coating of chocolate and they are sealed away to be eaten. The end."

Christie gave a nod, but inside her mind she was cursing,
How am i supposed to slip away with him keeping watch too? Better grin and bear for the moment.
"There have been a lot of cases of survivor on survivor violence. I suppose you were lucky to get away with your lives. Why the distrust though? I'm only doing my job and without our efforts the death rate would've tripled." Christie spoke, examining her communication equipment as she spoke.

Lisa yawned again as she listened to Alan. The snack machines were untouched, which perked her up a little.
"Got anything to smash the glass?" She asked, punching the glass lightly, "Ah-ha."
She grabbed a piece of unused wood and smashed the glass in.
"You wanna try? It's really therapeutic." She laughed handing the wood to him and starting to grab a few bars.

"Hmmm, you know I think I will," Alan said, after a moment of pondering, taking out his machete and bashing in another one of the machines. "Ah, a Snickers bar. The world is a better place," he said, happily grabbing one and taking a bite, "What's your favorite candy?"

Adries closed her eyes, deciding to just take a nap on her bed. She wasn't keen on Christie staying with them, but there was nothing she could do. 'The constant chatter will be annoying,' she thought to herself, turning away from everyone and trying to sleep.

((I'm assuming Christie doesn't recognize us am I right? Because I'm playing off that.))

"You're doing your job and I'm trying to survive. Besides what if I were to trust you to watch over us, and you make a break for it or kill us. Not that I'm saying you would, but I would be a fool to trust someone I never met and didn't take into consideration every scenario. Now that you have asked a question I get one of my own. Why are you so dead set on me not taking watch?

I would think a soldier of all people would realize that with two people on watch the chances of something slipping past the watch should a guard fall asleep drops drastically. Besides it also means each of us would have less area to watch and have more guns on any problem in less time than if we all had to wake up first. So why so dead set on all of us sleeping?"

Christie's face fell to the man's questions.
"I'm not sure what you mean. I only put myself up to guard because I would feel bad if any of my Sister's friends died because of sleep deprivation. I saw a group of survivors get massacred due to the fact none of them had the energy. If you saw suspicious intent in my actions, please accept this apology. We obviously got off to the wrong foot. Why not start again? Christie Bailey. " She answered, changing the subject the best she could then extending her hand to him.

"I could never turn down a packet of Skittles." Lisa replied finding a packet and pouring some into her hand. "Although there's the saying, Candy is Dandy."

He took her hand and without missing a beat he said. "Frank Jackson, pleasure to meet you I'm sure. Though you don't need to worry about us having gotten off on the wrong foot. I only said you killing us or leaving was a possibility, just like a meteor crashing through the floor above us and cracking my head open like a melon is a possibility. I prefer to consider and prepare for any logical possibility, and you running away or killing us is a logical possibility. Wouldn't you say so?" Jack said not letting the subject die as it obviously made her uncomfortable.

'Wow, never thought I'd see a soldier in black ops squirm.' Jack thought.

"Skittles are good. They're the only fruity candy I could eat," Alan replied, looking behind him quickly to make sure no one was close. He turned back to Lisa with a serious expression, "Call me Jesse from now on, or at least, around your sister. Adries is to be called Tulip. Last name: Custer. We can't have your sister find out either of our names. M'kay? Sorry that I confused all of you."

She did one of her rare laughs. She had now composed herself.
"I'd say so. You're an intelligent man. It's good of you to look out for your group. But the idea of me killing any of you is simply absurd in any stance. I mean, My sister is among your group and besides, its obvious you aren't causing trouble and only trying to get by like any of the other survivors i've come across." She spoke calmly. Always use Lisa as a shield if they begin to honestly doubt me. Christie decided in her mind.

"What's up Alan? I know my she's a pain in the ass, but honestly please, tell me? I mean, of course i'll use the alias', I just want to know." She asked with a weary tone, putting a red skittle in her mouth.

Alan looked torn. Tell her the truth or? "She's here to kill us," he said grimly, looking back again to make sure no one was hearing him. "That's why she is here in the station; she was here to take out dad and to get information he had. She got here a bit too late though. Dad had already....he had already gotten rid of any info," Alan said, not mustering up the strength to say his father was dead. 'That'd make it too final,' he thought.

"Absurd that you'd kill any of us, possibly. Though your sister being in our group doesn't have any bearing on that really. It just means you would probably be willing to kill all of us except her. A knife or silenced pistol would be perfect for that, and your training would mean you could easily overpower your sister. Though I doubt it will happen it is, again, possible. Well I think we are starting to get into a circular argument anyway, so let's change the topic shall we. What you are doing here perhaps? I'm sure you already know what we were doing here, but I don't know what your objective in all this is. Maybe you could tell me why you're alone as well. Wouldn't the military send squads for an operation like this?" Jack asked, obviously prying for information.
