Eragon was shit, I Am Legend was plain wrong and Hitchhiker's wasn't great.
My all time worst is the Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice. An absolutely genius (pair of) books which do a lot to rationalise the human condition and the wages of immortality. The film was an hour and a half crapfest...

I know I'll probably get flamed for this, but I was so boring and generic, and the ending just screamed "lets be as tragic as possible to get kudos with the Schindler's List crowd"

The Alone In The Dark soundtrack was fantastic, but favourite is probably either Shadow of the Colossus or MGS3, both of which have been posted before

I'd like to say that my country would be communism without the flaws but seeing as how the flaw in communism is the people that run it it wouldn't really work.
However the mascot would invariably be the Awesome Face
To me, Requiem For A Dream. It just beautifully and savagely makes you feel for every single character as they whittle their life away grasping for what they think they need, while the whole time what they really want is right in front of them. It's truly agonising and emotionally distressing...
