Hard because there's no real genre list. But some of the ones I adored were Baldurs Gate II: Shadows of Amn, Populous: The Beginning, Simcity 2000 and 3000, Wing Commander, and Dungeon Siege: Legends of Arrana.

It depends on what kind of reading and what kind of subject matter but in general yes. Novels tend to take me a little longer to start up. This usually has to do with initial setting and placement, needing to hear the voices actually resonate in my mind as well as really get into a reading...

Tin Tin was something I grew up on and only ever glimpsed Asterix and Obelix in the school library once or twice. Actually with Tin Tin it was the supporting cast I rather liked.
